This is what NewsNow clearly state about themselves:
"NewsNow aims to be the world's most accurate and comprehensive Everton FC news aggregator, bringing you the latest Toffees headlines from the best Everton sites and other key regional and national news sources. Whether it's the very latest transfer news from Goodison Park, quotes from the manager's press conference, match previews and reports, or news about the Toffees' progress in the Premier League or FA Cup, we've got it covered. from each site is brought to you automatically and continuously 24/ 7, within around 10 minutes of publication. N. B. Relevance is automatically assessed, so some headlines not qualifying as Everton rumours might appear. "
So, they do not research or verify the stories; instead they trawl the Internet and repeat the stories they find. Each of the individual "news" items they repeat can themselves often be traced back to (and are sometimes openly attributed to) a single original source. Several items are "opinion" articles - from fan forums, etc. - rather than reports of factual events.
By the way, I do read (and enjoy) NewsNow, as I find it interesting and have I nothing against what they do, but I certainly take the items with a pinch of salt.
Repetition of the same item doesn't make it true, but it does tend to make it a hot topic - and it becomes the clickbait that the provider wants.

Did you notice they had stories on the Everton page about Tom Davies Being sent off at the end of the season? Turns out it was Tom Davies of Coventry nothing to do with the everton player.
