The only negative comments I've really come across about Silva are on here, his relegation seams the single minded view of him, I would be happy as he appears driven and passionate about his work, with brands input and influence we should start the long road to reastablishing ourselves, just don't expect to much too soon.

When he took over hull, he nearly kept them up and played some real good football. Silva is a very good up and coming manager. He has won trophies in other leagues but others say " they are Mickey mouse leagues" beat arsenal in champs league while at olimpiakos, won league in Greece also and did it well before season had finished, first team in Greece to wrap up title so early. Beat man Utd and arsenal while hull boss. Put it this way, our most successful manager in present times was Martinez, he won trophy with Wigan before coming to us, Moyes, koeman and allardyce have won nowt in there managerial careers. I think with better players around him we will do very well.

I don't think anyone is saying Silva's trophies are from mickey mouse leagues. But look at his record in the premiership. As you said he nearly kept Hull up and played good football while doing it but he didn't. That Hull team was on a par to Bournemouth when they first came into the PL and no different to Brighton and Huddersfield, yet all three are in still in the PL. I look at his record with a bit more perspective, if you get to manage a top team within a league then there is a much better chance that you will win a trophy or a title in that league. Olympiacos have won the Greek league 15 times since 2000 so Silva winning the league isn't really much of a surprise, they have also won the Greek cup 7 times and been runner up 4 in the same time period so again its not unlikely that Silva would win the Greek cup during him tenure. Again with Sporting they are one of the top 3 sides in the league so winning is not a totally unexpected achievement. I am also a little concerned about his temperament I find it strange that he was sacked for not wearing an official suit and what happened at Watford once we spoke to him about taking over earlier in the season. I am however comfortable with Brands taking the lead with the recruitment of our next manager. If he picks Silva then I will support the decision and won't be jumping on the band wagon to get rid at the first sign of difficulty.

He came into Hull when confidence was low, none of his own players, no time to have a preseason and in a new league. He learnt very quick in my opinion.

Sporting hasdn't won a trophy in 6 years until Silva and they wanted to appoint someone's else and sacked him with a flimsy excuse.

At Watford it was probably our fault that caused a downturn in results. As for winning the league in record time winning the most consecutive games in the leagues history it was hardly a bad job.

I hope you do support him because usually when a couple of results go against the manager we start saying i told you so instead of being a proper supporter. We need everyone pulling together otherwise this vicious circle will continue.
