Please tell me why is it that other Clubs when they are linked to a class player, make an offer to the players Club, which is all but accepted, speak to the player himself abouta contract, fly them over for a Medical, and get them signed up, all done and dusted. But NOT EVERTON.!
I don't believe everything I read in the media, but on Tuesday most of the papers reported that Everton had agreed a deal worth £30+mil with Bordeaux for the Brazilian star Malcom. The President of Bordeaux was apparently meeting Everton Officials on Thursday to conclude a deal? Now both Roma and Valencia have repotedly entered calculations. Everton do this all the time. The reds wanted the Goalkeeper from Roma. they paid the fee flew him over for a medical and he has signed, & they have done the same with other targets. why do Everton fiddle about.

Did we actually put in a bid for Malcom Golden?
From everything that has been said by the Ed’s, I’m very skeptical of the press and reports we have offered anything. It feels like random numbers are picked by journalists and published as fact. I’d love to know how accurate these figures are.
In previous seasons we seemed to notch deals/ play silly beggars in transfers but I’m hoping it’s changing under Brands. If we get to the start of the season and reports come out from the Eds that we botched things again I will think differently.
{Ed001's Note - I don't believe there was any bid. I was told that Everton enquired and no more. No doubt the same reason as all the other clubs that walked away, the price was too high.}

majority of these papers get there info off rumour sites like this. i bet if ed put up he had it on good authority everton had offer tim cahill a 2 year deal, it would end up in at least one paper within 2 days.
dnt believe the rags they have make headlines to sell papers mate.

I wouldn’t be swayed by the number of papers / websites a rumour appears on Golden. If one picks up a rumour from God knows where every other one just repeats it for fear of missing out if it turns out to be true.
If Silva can get a tune out of Keane, Schneiderlin, Klaasen, Bolassie, Lookman and either Niasse or Sandro then that’s the equivalent of £100m+ spent based on what we paid for them all but have got very little from yet.

For me Golden Vision, it’s all about not having your trousers pulled down.
If you look at the price teams want as soon as Everton come sniffing you will fully understand.
Yet with our players, they try to get them on the cheap, or on loan.
Would you seriously pay over £70 Million for Zaha, would you take £12 Million for a Lookman.
We certainly paid over the odds and rushed players in last season, we do not know what is going on behind the scenes at Everton, players will come in for sure, let’s just make sure this time and get it right. And trust our new regime.
