Does any Ed's know any information on Malcom, I have heard that we have tabled a
£36 million bid for him but don't know if this is real, I have also heard that we have made a £16 million bid for Laxalt but again don't know if this is true.

Any idea if we hold interest in Laxalt ed mate?
{Ed002's Note - Genoa have said there have been approaches directly to them about Diego Laxalt from Lazio (they can be discounted as they have added Valon Berisha in his preferred LM position now), Scalke 04 (who want him to replace Pjaca), Wolfsburg (any move seems unlikely) and Bournemouth. He seems to be represented in Europe by someone I am not au fait with and he says other sides have spoken with him, certainly Crystal Palace is one and Marseille another - just maybe Everton have as well. So, the player may not be interested in a move to Merseyside and I very much doubt he wants to play left back. If Everton speak with Genoa then there may just be a chance to do something.}

Brillant as ever. If we were to try and sign him, do you think it would be as a LM or LB. Showed at the World Cup that he has versatility.
{Ed002's Note - He is really a LM player who has been used in a more attacking role, but I suspect any Everton interest would be as a LWB.}

Spot on from Ed002. LWB ideally suited to a young Baines or Garbutt. Strangely released from LB duties Martina had a cracking 2nd half against Bury at LWB.

Hopefully a Baines rather than a Garbutt. Cuco was left wing at Bury which was a bit crazy but didn't do badly as you say.
We need to let the lad go though because he's a genuine bloke who tried his best last year. I respected him for playing through the abuse he got and not giving up on us even though we did with him.
