Over the years Everton have had the knack of putting you on a high, only to bring you back down to earth with a thud.

Season after season the false dawns, the frustrations of selling our best players, plucky Everton tag.

Still early Days, but what I am seeing now is the right people in charge, the right players being bought, no longer believing a player will not sign for us, we are now competing in the market, not just for also rams, players on their last big pay Day, we are now bringing in quality.

Even our bench and backup is strong, gone are the Days where a suspension or injury had a huge impact on the team.

Add to this year after year of season ticket price freezes, the eitc, all the work for homeless and mental health issues.

What is not to like about being an Evertonian, we may have stagmented over the past years, but a window change is rattling around Everton Football Club right now.

I just hope fellow Evertonians are feeling as proud right now as I am of our football club.

Wind of change and also rans, good old predictive text above.

To be fair BigNev it is not Everton per-say that builds us up but rather us ourselves. Not laying out the blame on individuals but our patience as Evertonians has also become shorter and shorter as us old uns are out weighed by the impetuous youthful supporter. Who knows how Martinez would have turned out, look at him now! Same goes for a few we have had. I have high hopes for Mr Silva and his staff things are certainly coming together but true progress will be measured in my eyes once we begin beating some or all of the so-called top six instead of coming away saying, 'well, we gave them a run for their money'.

Good post mate.

It takes time Bill, but for now we are more optimistic of going toe to toe against the top 6, we are certainly making progress, few more transfer windows and a top class finisher and will be further progress.

When you look at players getting injured, we seem to have cover throughout to come in, and not playing out of position to plug the gap, the only area that concerns me is the goalkeeper backup should anything happen to Pickford, Virginia needs a bit more time and Stek not ideal for me as backup.

yeah look at Martinez now? he's got one of the best national teams in the world and just threw away a 2-0 lead and lost 5-2, don't forget that team he has somehow landed is getting him plaudits, its harder to lose with that squad of players than win!

And with respect wblue2 that is what I am talking about on negativity around this Club from some. It goes back as far as Catterick.

Bill, how are wblue2's comments negative around Everton football club? He is disagreeing with you that Martinez is doing a great job with Belgium and I am inclined to agree with him. You seem to have had a bizarre pop about negativity because your nose is out of joint because wblue2 had a different opinion to you!
