The only press conference I remember Moyes smiling was the one which he was answering questions about his new position as Man Utd manager whilst still being in charge at Everton. His utter disrespect for us then should remove his name from ANY and ALL future planning for E. F. C. His time has been and gone. No need to remind everyone of how negative he was regarding top 6 teams, knife to gunfight etc. Thanks but no thanks. As for Silva, I hope he is given at least another 2 transfer windows to bring stability. Our problems didn’t start when he arrived but when Farhad Moshiri brought wealth and with it a somewhat naive expectation of an instant ability to compete and challenge at the very highest level. I hate to admit but a lot of players use us as passage to a greater end. We have become a club in constant transition and in my opinion have in the past been too hasty in sacking/ appointing some managers, Koeman/ Alladyce. First and foremost we need to get to the end of this season, regroup and hope that we can go forward with more stability, a more measured sense of expectations and a appearance of a unified club. Just as an addition I think we’ve lost that player/ players that all teams need when things get a bit gritty they can grab everyone else by the scruff and battle through.

{Ed025's Note - good post that hugster..

Everton is one of many investments by Mr Moshri, it is naive to think that it is Mr Moshris money funding transfers etc! As has been pointed out many times doesn't work like that. You could give Mr Silva another 4 windows but unless he changes philosophy, we could well be in the Championship by then.

I agree re moyes Hugster and the need for stability, but we are really in danger of getting sucked in to relegation place if our form continues. If Silva is not capable of steadying the sinking ship, should be be allowed to continue at the rudder? It’s not even like the teams form is indifferent, it’s really at crisis point right now and there doesn’t seem to be many signs of things changing, so I’m thinking that he has one or two games to save his job. I was all for giving him time, then giving him until the summer, but now it looks like Cardiff is a make or break for him.

As for who is next and why we are in such a mess, that’s a different story.

I never eluded to his money funding transfers merely that it changed our expectations.

At least we had identity under Moyes and teams knew they would have to play well, at the moment we are the laughing stock of the prem.

Bet he would not buy a new pair of Kecks, if Moshi invited him to his house.
