Probably the least believable rumour I've seen on here in a while.

Bernard would be a good signing

Agree0 Disagree1

Two words. Dream on

Definition of "rumour": a currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful or unverified truth - usually a mixture of truth and untruth.
Even by that broad definition the original post is way beyond a rumour.
Anyhow, it's all entertaining (if crazy) speculation - and it's another bit of enjoyable craic on this website :-)

Agree2 Disagree0

Sorry to say kh. But that's bs mate. Nice to dream though and the first ones on me if it happens mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok then.messi, ronaldo, pogba, hummels are dead certs for us In next 48 hours. if your going to spout rubbish, at least make sure its pure rubbish.by the way i'm ITK they aren't signing lol

. cannot believe what I've been told tonight. Liverpool have had a bid accepted for Wilfried Bony & the player is keen on the move!! This is going to ruin my summer if this happens & yet another reason why we should stop dithering in the transfer market & do our main business early. seems to me the dark side are probably worried about us having a world class striker & not them now that the rat is sailing off too Barcelona! :(

Believable13 Unbelievable6

10 Jul 2014 20:41:51
seriously hope not, that would well piss me off

especially as we are not really " up there " with anyone as good

still, IMWT

Agree1 Disagree0

We have never been linked. Why will it ruin your summer because people on here want him? Trust Roberto he has a plan and so far in his tenure has executed it almost perfectly.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yet again I'm glad that our fans aren't conducting the club's transfer business and that it's in the patient and considered hands of RM, BK, etc.
I'm just as keen to see deals completed, but all of our "supposed" targets are just that - "supposed" and based on speculation in the press or on social media - and I don't recall RM talking about other clubs' players other than those whose loans he wanted to make permanent (Barry and Lukaku) or extended for another season (Traore and Deulofeu).
We are Everton and we should conduct our transfer business properly - not by feeding propaganda to the media. Let's leave that to the other clubs and the agents, as that's beyond our control.

Agree1 Disagree0

A loan here, a free agent there, some cheap buy out clause players. Are we ever going to join the big boys in transfers? I hope he is saving up for a proper striker.

Agree1 Disagree0

Isn't this a rumours page on a rumour site Sid?????

Rumours flying round we are in talks with heskey on a free really hope it is a rumour can't be serious bobby about signing him! ( you heard anything ed)

Believable6 Unbelievable17

{Ed025's Note - load of tripe that deano...for want of a better phrase..

10 Jul 2014 18:27:21
Better option than cleverley

Agree2 Disagree1

Heskey?
I had to check the date: it's not April 1st!
This the best (as in most ludicrous) rumour that I can remember reading on this website.
I salute the original poster for having the cajones to actually submit it ;-)

10 Jul 2014 17:25:09
Being linked with Cleverley for £4mill. I think he's worth the gamble especially since Martinez managed him at Wigan where he did well.

Believable11 Unbelievable6

He seems to be the Marmite of football: you either love him (or at least would back RM's judgement!) or hate him.
Me? I back RM's judgement and would support any player who wears the Royal Blue shirt and gives his best for the club.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think we all would sid...but we all have our own ideas on who we would like to sign mate, and there is nothing wrong with sharing opinions on here..

Ed025: absolutely. I might disagree with some posters - and occasionally not like the vehemence of their criticisms of certain players - but I'm always prepared to read the opinions and have (on the odd occasion!) revised my own view as a result of seeing something from another perspective.
However, I still trust RM's football judgement above my own - or anyone else's :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - so do i sid...luckily for us, there is only one organ grinder at everton mate...so you know what that makes us!.. :)

Ed025: like most monkeys, if I wasn't posting on this website, I'd probably be playing with my nuts or unzipping a banana ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - me too mate.. :)

Few people on twitter mentioning everton have put a 15m plus add ons for lukaku any truth behinde this?

Believable8 Unbelievable9

{Ed025's Note - not that i am aware of ryan..

Us putting in a bid doesn't mean it's been accepted, although I can't imagine us really putting in a bid without having had some encouragement to make it - from either the club, the player, or their representatives. Transfers in the modern football world are just as murky as they were in the old days (with tapping-up, back-handers and bungs, etc.), but today there seem to be more middle-men wanting to get their snouts in the trough and the financial stakes are immeasurably higher.

He himself on twitter said he isn't in Austria as he is looking for a new club

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan: thanks. It seems that the players who've left Everton this summer have revealed the fact on Twitter before the club can announce anything. Would it be too cynical to remark that the club is still poor in this area of communicating this sort of news to the fans?

I'm hoping something is being done behind the scenes in relation to signing Lukaku as the whispers here in Swansea is that the Swans have accepted a bid of 20 million for Bony from Liverpool.

Ah Revs, a Toffee from Swansea. That makes 2 of us mate

Agree0 Disagree0

The dark side have money to burn: from the impending transfer of Suarez and from the investment from their American owners and from their Champions League participation and from their higher match-day and commercial income.
We simply don't have that spending power - even with the increased TV money :-(
Besides, every Premier League club has increased funds due to the TV money, so the transfer fees (and players' - and agents' - demands) are being inflated accordingly.
Signing up our best players on extended contracts - which we're doing one-by-one - is a good way imho of spending this money:-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree sid..

Never before but Swan's just make me worry. Ha ha

Everton have rekindled interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Josuha Guilavogui.
The 23-year-old was signed last summer for £8million from St-Etienne but was loaned back for the season.
Atletico are now looking to sell for a reduced fee although Roberto Martinez's Everton may seek a loan deal.

I imagine that RM has a "wish list" of players he'd like to bring into our squad and I'm sure he has first-choices for the 6 or 7 slots he's said he wants to fill. No doubt, he has second, third, etc., choices for each of those slots and it's just a question of which players can actually be secured - hopefully the first-choices. Although we want these additional numbers, I doubt that RM would settle for someone who isn't good enough just to make up the numbers. I'm pretty sure he'd give our U-21 and U-18 players an opportunity if we couldn't get our preferred targets in. In fact, I'm sure he'll give the youngsters an opportunity anyway, as he clearly likes to combine youth with experience and get an effective blend. That seemed to be successful last season and I reckon that's how his work-in-progress at Everton will continue.

Wolfburg looking for permanent deal.No chance for loan.If Bobby want him must pair German side offer.

Heard were looking at Salomon Kalou but with Arsenal and Spurs interested I think its a long shot. what's your thought Ed?

Believable1 Unbelievable9

{Ed025's Note - i would have him on a free i suppose stevie, not his biggest fan to be honest mate..

10 Jul 2014 09:59:21
I really, really don't want him even if he paid us.

Agree0 Disagree0

If RM thinks that any player could be effective for Everton, then I'll support him, but imho we need to build on last season or at least consolidate - and definitely not fall back. Without massive funds - and without Champions League football - we're limited as to which players we can bring in, so I'm intrigued as to who RM can secure - permanent and loan, domestic and foreign - during this transfer window. I just don't see him bringing in any old inferior players just to boost the numbers - I'm sure he'd give a promising U-21 and U-18 player a chance first.
