Ospinna making noises about joining us. Been quoted as saying if he has to leave arsenal he would be open to moving to us.

A bit doubt in his aerial ability that is our weak point Tim Howard did last term.

Everton? They are a very competitive team, that showed important things last season, with a good coach, and that plays good football. They are a team to take into account and a big possibility there are some (other) possibilities, but my mind is on Arsenal. I want to continue there. I am very happy in London and so are my family, so therefore I hope at least to respect the contract, which is for another four years."

Ospina is ok but we need players in other positions in the team like a cb,number 10,striker and winger ie Lennon

He just reminds me of a smaller Tim Howard, decent 'shot-stopper' (although Howard isn't even that' yet a complete fool everywhere else. Tells a lot if he is happy being 3rd choice at Arsenal for 4 years.

Would have liked Begovic but he's another who is moving to sit on the bench. Surely as a footballer you should thrive to be the best in your position? Just how I see it, yes he may get silverware and medals at Chelsea but can't see him getting much game time unless Courtais gets injured. Ospinna is the same he won't get a look in at arsenal so would be better moving and being number 1. Is he an improvement on Howard? We do need to look at the Goalkeeping position as well as strengthening elsewhere though because Howard is a liability at times. But who is available and at what cost?

Was Joel really that bad when he came in?
We need a creative mid and a striker ffs.
It's not rocket science!

The fact is Woburn, Joel should never have been dropped for Howard. The lad was coming into his own and performing well. Since the injury Howard just hasn't been up to scratch. Ospinna is a good shout, but I'd be tempted to give Joel a run.

Joel done well when he came in I am not disputing that and as he is still only young can be a future number 1. Martinez obviously doesn't have faith in him even though he brought him in.

Agree Mike which is why I don't understand the need for wasting money on another keeper. Make Joel no1 and Howard no2.

If yer want any chance of competing for trophies Joel is not what we want, get real go get a new goalie and centre half ffs.The heart of any good team consist of very good players in the spine of yeah team. not average players.

So Tairy who would your choice be? Because there are loads of top class keepers just waiting to be snapped up. Aren't there?

Personally I think goal keeper for next season is the least of our worries for now Howard struggled last season but so did many of our squad for me he still prob top six keepers in league also can't judge and say Robles ain't good enough done pretty well in the chances he has had very young still deserves a chance still

Many of us moan about our club but what a shambles across the park!
The Stirling situation must have Bill Shankly turning in his grave.
But then again who treated. Bill better when he was treated like sh#te by Liverpool
and spent his final years having tea and biscuits at Bellfield?

And before the moaners reply Mush, it's only a bit of banter, we know it's not about Everton but hey who cares, it cheers me up laughing at them

Trouble is they will get 40mil+ for an average player. And will spend it.

I think they have already spent it Woburn mate. I am not worried by any of their signings.

I keep hearing and reading we have had 8m bid turned down for dann is this a joke ed if we pay that or more for him I will give up watching football for good because that would really piss me of sorry for bad language but I feel really strongly about it and Spanish bob can get the chop what has football come to I just hope its all bull by the papers better players are going for less or the same and they play international football what's your thoughts ed and others.

{Ed025's Note - im not a big fan of his either konehead, im sure we could do better with that sort of money mate..

10 Jul 2015 12:59:11
that sort of money only buys average players time we woke up and realised we are a small club with no money

Personaly I think distin would do a better job than dann and we let him go. What is going on in bobbys head?

10 Jul 2015 14:21:21
Agree Ed yes Dann is good but 8m. is more than maximum. Caulker I suggest, strong young etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jul 2015 17:32:50
Ye Caulker is a good shout! But personally, I think whoever we bring in should only be cover for Stones and jags. I reckon jags has only 2 yrs at top left at best. So maybe a loan deal would be good! Thoughts people?

Ron Vlarr, free agent and therefore leaves cash to strengthen elsewhere.

Agree Will these are conditions we need.

1. Immediately good back up for Stones and Jags.
2. As what you said good replacement for Jags next 2 yrs.

Not see Ogbonna,Dann and Astori come sit on the bench for backing up.
