Why no Barkley or Stones today?
Could the boys be going to Brazil?

Barkley is just getting a rest and he will have dropped stones just so Jags doesn't go to the World Cup right off the back of an injury. Wouldn't read into it too much.

Don't buy that. Last game of the season and not even on the bench?

Bobby Brown shoes playing the friendly uncle role . they're in the frame but not necessarily in the squad so RM protected them from a. injury and b. having a shocker and therefore being ruled out.

Me lad woke up screaming last night. I rushed in to see what the matter was and found him sat up in bed, sweating like a pig on heat, wide eyed and staring blankly into space.
"What's the matter son?" I asked worriedly.
"Dad I've had the worst nightmare ever" he replied. "I dreamt Man City spunked it at the last minute and the red side won the league, I've got to go to school tomorrow and couldn't face it if that happened."

You must remember that Joel Robles is still only 23 which, is no age at all for a keeper.
He should probably be sent out on loan (as per Southall) to gain experience and sharpen his game, but we shouldn't let him go. Good goalies are hard to find and he's a good goalie.
I'd hate him to come back and bite us on the bum.

{Ed025's Note - thats fair comment mike, but for me. a No 2 has to be good enough to step up to the plate when duty calls, for me joel is not in that place at this time mate..

Agree Mike mean while Joel loan out to get more experience we need more No.2.

Pienaar is a perfect fit for Martinez's style. People have forgotten just how good he is in his absence, just like Gibson. We need a replacement for him, because of age, but he was extremely important to us early on in the season.

I disagree AB, we are playing fast, counter attacking football and we are upping the pace of our play, pienaar doesn't suit it, he's too slow, his passing for the last 2 seasons has been poor, he's weak, his link up play is meaningless, yes he's intelligent and unpredictable but he's not up to it anymore, he doesn't offer anything anymore
