Nolito has now said he will not leave his club unless it's for Barcelona so we can cross him off of our list of targets. Shame really, I quite perfered him to some of the other names we have been linked with.

We can't pay massive wages, we can't offer Champions League football, we can't offer the apparent attraction of a London-based club, or (and I hate to concede this) we don't have the attraction and reputation and glamour of some clubs who are known worldwide.

To be fair he said that money was not an object for him. Sounds like loyalty more than anything in this case but that's no excuse for our lack of general transfer activity.

I know mate. When he signs watch rm and bk go on like he is a world class player. No disrespect to the lad and welcome to Efc when you sign. But we need a big name in now centre forward attacking mid. I know we will sign Lenon and ok. But I can see bk making it like we signed messi.

Just heard as well not from a Everton fan but mate of mine who is qpr mad that Austin will be done deal by Friday but there are concerns with medical, depending on how thorough it is whe he signed for qpr they took chance on him as not sure which leg it is but has had some problems in past with, take of it what you will but my mate is usually spot on with transfers from clubs he even told me about lukaku 2 days before we got him on loan which even landed me some cash as a bet, I must admit I thought he was taking the mick but remember him telling me he even put some money on it, he has connections with sports agents so he is a good source,

rubbish, he's having talks to extend hs contract at QPR, because no one will make a bid of £15mil for him and nor should they, he's done nothing as a player really to warrant that fee.

Has not done enough to warrant 15m you joking scored 18 league goals last season scored goals everywhere else, you need to wake up and see 15m is not big money anymore Connor wickham just went for 9m, jack Chester 8m average defender, and your moaning at 15m for a player who scored more than any of our lot did last season and his team got relegated

15 mil well too much for Austin, one good season in the top flight is not enough to justify that money, if he was that good he would have proven it a long time ago not at 26

Building for the future is never a bad thing, but, at this time, we are badley in need of a few players, that are the finish artical (as long as they are not JONNEY EVENES) player who can come in and hit the ground running, but knowing us they are almost certain to have a hamstring proble the following week.

He has said he wanted 3, a centre back a striker and a attacking mid. Surely he can't count an 18 year old lad who has played 20 games in league 1 as the centre back cover!
