I've got a feeling that efc are going to try and sign bas dost from wolfsburg. It's koeman type of strike big, good feet and bos in the air and he's going for a reported 11m euro.

Done some reading on this.
Koeman intrested when at southamp ton.

Wants to leave wolfsburg doe a new challenge. even though got 14 goals in 22 starts.

Is available for 11m . got this fee as that what was quoted to a Turkish team, fenerbace I think. Bid knocked back as was to expensive . Is also in the laSt year of his deal.

Has said he fancied Southampton. . but when koeman was there so ia open for a move

Is a koeman type striker, big, stron, good feet, good in the air and can hold up the ball well.

only thing that puts me off about bad dost is he is really slow like proper slow makes Giroud look he has some pace.

Not sure what player you've been watching, Fanatic, but one thing Dost does not have is 'good feet'. He is strong and knows how to score, but he's one of the least technically able players I've ever watched.

I suspect he'd be a carbon copy of Jelavic or Niasse where they could find the net in their league, but in the Prem they barely look amateur because they aren't getting chances put on a plate for them and can't craft any themselves.

If a player has such a good record in the German league but no one but a Turkish side are interested, and they say £11m is too much, that's a red flag.

RK normally likes to play the 5-3-2. Backs seem to be Coleman, Baines, Williams, the argie (always forget his name) and another. Up top could be Lukaku and Bony. Leaving three in midfield. My guess is Guna, Delefeou and who? Barry, Mccarthy, Mirallas, Berkley, Lennon, Coric? Who you reckon will be the third mid?

Believable1 Unbelievable5

12 Aug 2016 22:17:47
Well it won't be Bony for starters as Koeman's already said he's not interested in signing him.

Hope yous get him good footballer kone 16 games on £40000 now wants £70000 that's not the prob he wants a move so what, it's the way he's went about it, does not give a F about our clubs just another 1 who thinks he's bigger than the club any way lads good luck for the season.

Deulofeu and Mirallas are up front. Holgate, Mori and Jags are at the back. McCarthy and Baines are wingbacks. Playing 3-5-2.

That's for today obviously. Haven't been told what the midfield is but I know Gueye starts.

ED; In your opinion, is KONE'S agent, just trying to bump up the contract offer at Sunderland, or is he intent on a move?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - its a bit of both JCW, He wants his future sorting out and whether its at sunderland or everton it does not seem to matter mate, like everything in footy these days...its all about the money..

12 Aug 2016 21:15:10
Kone hasn't hid behind his agent (or dad) like most players. he's actually had the bollocks to come out and speak for himself. It's just a shame he's totally contradicted himself by telling sunderland fans he was staying then handing in a transfer request the next day.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 22:19:03
He said he "wanted" to stay. Subtle difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 22:29:24
My opinion is Kone was promised a contract. Why not honour that contract? Sunderland should either honour their promise and give him one or let him go. Seems a game of cat and mouse to me.

I think he'll end up at Everton. Hoping anyway. IMHO Kone is right. The promise should be honoured if not why should he stay?

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Aug 2016 23:38:08
Like yous give every player what he wants get real how did yous get your manager again?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2016 02:17:15
NBTB. The problem is since Kone was promised the new contract we now have a new manager and a chief executive. Priorities due to our hands being tied in the transfer window thanks to the FA had shifted and Jones contract situation was not at the time important to deal with. kone has not come out of this situation looking the best at all. Good lick for the season lads.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Aug 2016 04:32:51
Agreed Kone hasn't looked good in this however he was promised the new contract from what he said and if he has lost faith on promises not delivered then you can understand why he's not happy.

13 Aug 2016 08:17:11
Agreed Southern Toffee.

Mr Mackem who said to give every player what he wants? Certainly not me, your the only one I seen say that. He was promised a new contract by the club. So your opinion is clubs should be able to give and break promises as much as they like? Don't think that would benefit any club or player.

It's as simple as this for me they promised him a new contract. So give him one. He's well worth giving one to. He deserves it even without the promise. Did he not do his bit last season? This thing of him holding the club to ransom is bull. He shouldn't of been promised a contract if he wasn't going to be given one, simple as.

Change of manager, chief executive doesn't matter. He was promised that when he signed and no doubt had an impact on him signing in the first place.

No need to bring manager into it Mr Mackem. Not sure what point your trying to make with that one.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2016 08:27:11
My take on this is he signed a 3 year deal in January on reported 40000 per week which he was happy to sign now he might of been promised a new contract by big Sam but they only have his word for that and it looks like he is using this to force a move believing by blaming the club the fans will understand what he doesn't understand is English fans are not stupid now don't get me wrong I want him to sign but he has gone about it all wrong now let's smash spurs.

According to local radio in Valencia, Spain Everton have offered €18m for Aymen Abdennour and talks are ongoing between both clubs.

{Ed002's Note - He is a centre back.}

Alternative for kone if he's given a contract or doesn't want to come but I say get both.

A blook good centreback but not the fastest.

12 Aug 2016 19:36:05
I remember seeing him play for Toulouse and thinking he looked really good, but I don't think he ever really settled or impressed at either Monaco or Valencia, so I'm not sure about him. Can't remember being impressed by him in the champions league the other year, either.

Jagielka has turned down many teams over the years and it didn't even make the papers because he showed zero interest in leaving Everton. He has been a loyal servant and should be treated accordingly. That's my opinion anyway.

Papertalk suggests slimani is a target. Not sure how true it is though.

Paper in Portugal say we put a 20 mil bid in for slimani which sporting described as ridiculous don no if it's true or just paper talk.

They're just pumping his price up. The paper probably has links with sporting.

Any truth in Kone handing in a transfer request?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - thats whats being reported welsh, but whether hes after an improved contract at sunderland or he wants to join us im not sure mate..

12 Aug 2016 06:55:43
Seen a lot letter that's apparently from kone to the faans saying had meetings with Moyes and chief exec and no contract appeared so sorry but it's time to go. Think this one could be done quite quickly.

Kone hands in a transfer request at Sunderland, and as for Blues saying the boss might resign don't forget it would cost him a few bob and its just not going to happen! Its about time the pressure was put on, we want a winning team fitness is the first priority.

Someone said that rk doesn't look happy and might resign stupid comment really.

Agree3 Disagree4

12 Aug 2016 11:45:29
Of course he's not happy. He's finally seeing the extent how bad things are with the players after our last manager. I'd be more concerned if he was happy. As for him leaving I don't know where that came from. Just because he doesn't look happy does not indicate he is leaving.

Looking at him last year with Southampton even after some games they won he didn't look happy. He's a perfectionist with high standards. Something we will only benefit from.

he's bound to be unhappy trying to clear up the mess Martinez left but let's be honest if things had been fine, Koeman wouldn't be at Everton and Martinez wouldn't be at Belgium. He knows how big the job is and he'll tackle it head on, anyone who's not with him will be out the door.
