Atsu will have the same impact on our season as Rom did last season.
Tremendous player streets ahead of Delafeu in terms of technical skill, pace and football know how.

Id like to see duffy in this seasons squad. Terrific defender in my opinion. He's an exciting young defender. Same impact as stones had last season. I think our squad is at the right point needs a little tuning. Players getting fit. I can't wait. In aus there's only a couple days away till the first game

It's all very well wanting more players, but there are restrictions on how many players we can have in the squad that are registered to play. It's obviously no use having players if we can't accommodate them all in the registered squad.

Certainly need another forward. We are still worse off than last year in that position when we had either Jela or Traore as well as what we got now. More competitions this year so a must have.

We have Stones, Alacaraz and Duffy to cover Distin or Jags ( Besic as well even) why waste cash on another CD.

Traore was fit for 2 games last year. Can hardly count losing him as having less. We will sign at least 1 more loan before the door shuts, but we will be quiet between now and deadline day

If the original poster has heard this from a genuine and reliable source, then that's very good news, but if it's just a piece of wishful thinking that's been repeated over and over again without being checked at some point so that it appears to be true and the poster is just part of the chain passing it on, then I feel that it's just a rumour - but that's what this website is for of course ;-)

A friend of mine sat next to McCarthy's mum & dad at the tranmere pre season game & he said they said that lukaku was signing & James will sign a new 5yr contract, I said to him that he was full of rubbish but then lukaku signed, so fingers crossed

Along with Stones and Barkley-Doris the tea lady has signed a new five year contract ending speculation that she was about to sign for another premiership club--the Everton rumours is simply getting better and better -roll on the new season.

Apparently Spurs are open to offers for Lennon and Townsend. I think Roberto's magic touch could make either of these in to great signings if the price is right?

Don't see them being any better than what we'll have in Mirallas, Atsu and McGeady. Osman and Pienaar can also do a job in the wide midfield positions. Then we have Coleman, Baines, Oviedo, Garbutt and Browning who can do a wing-back role. I consider Hibbert - bless him - as being less effective in a wing-back role.

Again, the mention of this 'magic touch', surely we can sign any free agent, however bad, however old and not spend a penny ever again because roberto can make anyone world class, he can turn koldrup into maldini, delap into pirlo and even an ageing shaun derry into zidane, despite this 'magic touch', the majority think kone, alcaraz, joel, mcgeady and hell even gibbo are dreadful, well surely we should keep them because roberto will turn them into world class players right?, townsend runs up the wing, sees the full back, sh*ts himself, cuts inside, shoots over the bar, lennon runs up the wing, sees the full back, sh*ts himself so he kicks the ball straight at him, both are utterly dreadful, one day depay now lennon, one day ronaldinho then cleverley, jesus christ lads come on!

With the signing of Atsu-we now have 4 wide players-we do not need any more in that position--so the idea of signing Townsend or Lennon is a non starter

a little concerned that Roberto has said today that after the Atsu deal that all major transfers will have been concluded for the summer window! he went on to say we will still look though till the window closes surely we need a striker ed? at the very least!

By him saying no more "major transfers", my understanding is that there might a deal for someone like Henen (to play and develop in the U-21s) and there might be some loan deals. However, we need to be aware of the permitted squad sizes (Premier League and Europa League) and the FFP rules about expenditure and the allowable increase in the players' annual wage bill.

I'd say another striker is priority ed. When lukaku was injured last season we were plain blunt up front. Another injury could derail our whole campaign this time. I'd love to land remy even on loan.

Saw we are linked with Alex Song - Realistically can't see this happening - if it did however and I know we have besic mccarthy barry and gibson but what a signing that would be for us! we need a cf as well i'd give chicarito a look but midfield we have to be 1 of the strongest in the league
