According to papers kenwright is to offer pay rise to moyes to keep him at Everton

Believable32 Unbelievable6

No chance he doesnt have money for pay rises hell let moyes do what he wants which will be to stay since he has everything that a manager wants at a club like complete control etc he would never get that at spurs just look at what they done to HR

Agree1 Disagree0

Just give moyes some money to compete, he will be happy with that

Agree0 Disagree0

What the hell are u talking about he cant give money to players like baines felli to keep them in the club and youre gonna give moyes 50 to 75,000 a week

BIG JELLA

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes is allegedly (yahoo) already the 4th highest paid manager in the league on Ł3m/yr. He was 6th until Kenny and Harry got the bullet. Put him to up to 3.5 and promise him some cash for transfers. He is the most important signing of the summer in my opinion.

Agree1 Disagree0

Lets think logically here. More money from TV (14 million extra than last year is the number being tosses around) means we will have at least Ł14 million more than last year. Hopefully this means with that and so money from the board (unlikely) moyes will have money to spend.

Agree1 Disagree0

Moyes is already something like the 10th highest paid manager in the world, what he needs is funds
Either way, I still dont see him leaving us regardless of what BK offers!

King Chong

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes because afterall he did bring them players in so he could bring in the same that's were he is so good as a manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes is already on 75k a week! Lookin more like 90k....he's are biggest asset after Fellaini!

Leighton Baines to Man United

They r pretty accurate.Pretty Simple.

Hope its true! keep the faith! COYB

timmyefc

Believable8 Unbelievable29

Are you joking when you say the DAILY MAIL is pretty accurate? I hope so.

People don't buy into all this talk, Baines and Fellaini have both said they are happy at Everton they aren't going to force the issue ala Lescott or Rooney. And we are not in as much sh1t as we were last summer financially

Agree0 Disagree0

They're not that accurate actually. There are various sites that analyse the numbers re transfer stories to moves that actually happen. The Telegraph tends to come out on top, followed by The Guardian Obviously this is subject to change and certain reporters do have better hit rates than their papers as a whole and/or when they deal with particular clubs or agents, but generally speaking The Mail are rubbish. Particularly re Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Mail is a bag of crap when it comes to transfer rumours. There was a bit about Felli a few days after his interview in Belgium but with the majority of what he said missing. They just had a paragraph of how he wants to leave us to play in either of the european cups. Lazy journalism.

Heard on radio city mouse is going nowhere spurs will only offer a 2 year deal motes wants job security and 2 years isnt enough....
Besides he also won't get the freedom with transfers at spurs they will tell him who he can and can't buy and that isn't how he works he needs total control and shouldn't every manager ?
And one last thing moyes is loyal to everton why spend 10 years here then go there were he would basically start from scratch again with the likes of bale modrić and van dre faart on their way out

News leaked out of Goodison today is that "Big Dunc" is doing more coaching corses in the next couple of months as he is prepared for an offer to be Everton manager, if there is not a suitable replacement found for Moyes. If Moyes leaves, which is a very big IF!

ToffeeAz

Believable6 Unbelievable28

Dunc just hasn't got any experience to take on this sort of job.

Agree1 Disagree1

He is only working on his level 2 coaching badges, he needs level 3 to coach in the premier league and that takes nearly a year to get, so I don't think so......

TC

Agree1 Disagree0

With respect to Big Dunc, all this talk of him being our manager is a nonsense and just plain crazy, no experience, he is only just taking his coaching badges ! ! !

On 10 May 2012, Bilić confirmed that he would step down after the tournament. On 14 May 2012, it was confirmed that Bilić had signed a coaching contract with the Russian club FC Lokomotiv Moscow. His tenure at Lokomotiv will officially begin after Euro 2012. (Wikipedia)

Agree0 Disagree0

He agreed a deal with Lokomotiv Moscow a few weeks back, i think he would jump at the opportunitie to come to us

Agree0 Disagree0

If this happens I would say Slav would be great. It aint gonna happen this season though. Moyes is on th verge of breaking his duck. A right back, a right midfielder, peanut and a new striker would ensure we have a good start to season. We have plenty of young players for back up.

Would be a good move if he did go.2dog blue

From "what the papers say" on the official EFC website the Echo quote states that the club have contacted talksport to rebuff claims that Everton and spurs had entered negotiations for a compensation package. Mr Moyes is on holiday in the US and is shortly going to Poland and the Ukraine to watch the Euros.

So it's ALL speculation and more anti Everton, small club, why wouldn't anyone want to live in London nonesense with a capital B......ks.

Until the club or Moysie come out and say something I'm going to ignore it. I'm not burying my head in the sand I'm waiting for some substance to emerge, Moysie may be their preferred choice but that doesn't mean he's going anywhere.

Remember he said he has unfinished business at Everton and we are all talking about us being on the brink of something big next season 1 or 2 players away from top 4, so why move sideways to as demonstrated by Levy to insecurity.

I can only see Moysie going to replace SAF when he retires.

Anyway that's my opinion

Big C

Believable37 Unbelievable6

A very good mate of mine ( a Chelsea fan ) spoke to him daily and seemed in very good humour. Idle speculation, its more like Capello for Spurs, he fits the bill

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted about this yesterday (15:44:56) and don't have any new info, but just to reiterate, I was told then that the rumour at Spurs was that they wanted Moyes. This DOES NOT mean that he's going (or even that he will definitely be approached) but I think there's more substance to it than the earlier Capello rumours. Incidentally, the problems at Spurs were not simply to do with their failure to get CL, the relationship between Harry and Levy had apparently been tense for a year or so.

Agree1 Disagree1

I would have thought they would be more likely to go after someone like Ancelotti, who apparently is "in love" with London. I know he is at a big money club in PSG, but you never know.

Agree1 Disagree0

I don’t think Moyes will leave for the following reasons:
1. EFC are only a few players away from being a really good team. Probably better equipped than Spurs next season as:
2. Spurs are likely to sell Bale, Modric, Van der Vaart, Defoe, and can’t afford Adebayor’s wages; which is next point:
3. They have a strict wage structure and hence cannot attract really big names who demand ridiculous wages. Spurs don’t go above 100K their top earners closer to 70K a week.
4. Levy is a control freak who has fallen out with several managers. Moyes wouldn’t put up with him.
5. EFC are likely to get investment at some point and why would Moyes walk away after 10 years for someone else to take all the glory.
6. Given all of the above, I think EFC are the team on the way up and Spurs potentially on the way down.

There are probably more reasons but that’s enough for now! Jack Carter

Agree1 Disagree1

To my knowledge Moyes has never expressed any wish to leave Everton but did state that he would leave if Everton no longer wanted him, and I think that is highly unlikely. This is the same speculation rekindled from when Arry was being touted for the England job and is being enginered by the press. (Wavertree Blue)

Top 4 next season? Hilarious! Top half maybe!

You couldn't make it up.

Moyes back from holiday today, I fully expect him to rule himself out of the spurs job in the very near future.
I don't think Moyes would throw away ten years hard graft to go and kneel before Levy and be:-
1 Told who to buy
2 Hounded by the London Press
3 Sacked for finishing 4th

If Moyes leaves for Spurs - and that remains a big "if" - Everton have lined up Toffees Legend Peter Reid as a potential Director of Football to steady the club through a period of transition.

Everton expect to lose Felliani and Baines during the summer, and the loss of Moyes will hit the club hard.

Nevertheless, Kenwright believes that Peter Reid will help connect the club with the fans and offer the right framework for the new manager, especially given limited resouces. Everton are considering Paul Tisdale who ticks all the right boxes as Moyes' replacement.

very strong rumours coming out of Goodison is that misinformaton sent out of the club about Moyes and Spurs so the manchester and london corporate media busy themselves trying to move the manager for long enough to distract them from selling players who don't want to leave. seems to be working but keep it on here okay

Everton chasing Hugo Rodalega and Madrid's Hamil Altinop.
Ian Holloway, Roberto Martinez and Duncan Fergusson possible replacements if Moyes leaves for Spurs.

Believable5 Unbelievable32

Duncan ferguson only has his level 2 coaching badges, so I don't think so...........

TC

Agree0 Disagree0

God I hope not. I'd take Martinez but, as much as I like the other 2, I'd be gutted if we ended up with either as manager.

Looks like Moyse is going, the bookies have stopped taking bets on him to be the next Spurs manager

Believable6 Unbelievable34

He hasn't received anything yet, we know moyse, he would say he has had an offer if he did get one and he has said he hasn't had an offer yet.........

TC

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously what have spurs got that we haven't apart from a few quid... Not that much now there not in the champions league... There youth set up is a joke.. They ain't produced anyone since Ledley king!

Modric and bale won't wanna hang around then what they got... Parker Defoe both in their 30s

If Moyes even talks to them he's a fool..

Agree0 Disagree0

They stopped taking bets on Martinez being the next sh@te manager as well you mupet

Agree1 Disagree1

They stopped taking bets on Martinez to Liverpool as well. Still, I'm sure Levy has considered Moyes.

Spurs isn't really that much of a step-up, too. There is a rebuilding job to do (key players want to leave), and the new manager would not have the type of safety and autonomy that Moyes has at Everton.

Let's hope Moyesie stays put.

Agree1 Disagree1

Funny just been in and asked my locol bookie, who laughed and said id be wasting my money. if i was to bet on him going spurs

Agree1 Disagree1

Wow! Must be true, just like 99% of rumours on this site!

Agree1 Disagree0

And the bookies are ALLWAYS right aren't they!

Agree0 Disagree0

The one thing that worries me in particular is that Levy fell out with Redknapp in relation to Moyes getting the best out of Pienaar when 'arry couldn't do the same...something tells me that Levy will at least ask...WHICH might force BK's hand and make him say, nobody leaves and you're getting Ł15m to play with.

A man can dream. Bring on September 1st when hopefully we've still the best manager in the business and our squad's not been decimated!

Agree1 Disagree0

Sky sports are still taking bets on moyes 2/5, can't see him going tho, hopefully kenwright will give him some money to spend just to keep home with us, crewe blue

Agree1 Disagree0

I have to say, though, that Moyes to Tottenham sounds the most likely link he has so far had.

If he is fed up with Everton and the constraints Bill and company put on him, he should move on. He whines about it periodically, so time to put up or shut the f*** up!

On the other hand, if he is up for the challenge of managing the best club in the world on limited resources, then stay put. Chucking money around will get you so far, but Moyes has proved that stability at a club can be equally as important as how much it spends each season.

Moyes has been given more stability, a higher salary and more autonomy than pretty much any PL manager has had (even SAF is under orders from the Glaziers now).

He should be grateful!

Agree1 Disagree0

They've stopped taking bets because they're feeling guilty about taking money off people when they know it's just not going to happen!
