Apparently Mourinho is interested in Barkley. Although he hasn't named him, he has confirmed he is interested in a 'young English player' and it is widely believed to be Ross and so he is bringing his top scouts to today's game. He said he enquired to get an idea of the price, during the market, but was quoted a price that 'was like he had 50 caps when he had none' and so made no further efforts, but is expected to return in January.

We don't need to sell theses no way Barkley going to Chelsea now or in the future . How do we supose to build a side if we have to keep selling. The only transfer bussiness. In jan will be us signing players

Agree4 Disagree0

I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was some sort of agreement with chelski, with them having first option on Ross in exchange for the Lukaku loan and the possibility of making it permanent.
Lukaku is quoted as saying he had a conversation with Mourinho, which he says was confidential, and that added further weight in his decision to sign for us.
Time will tell but don't be surprised if we get Lukaku permanently and Barkley one day becomes a chelski player.

Agree0 Disagree2

Please, I have said this time and again, look at the source. The Mail is constantly linking our players with moves away and they're almost never accurate. They have one of the worst hit rates of any of the big news agencies.

Harry Maguire and Will Hughes have certainly both been watched by Chelsea, there were a lot of well sourced rumours suggesting they'd considered a move for Eric Dyer, and it's pretty safe to say that a range of other English youngsters will be on their (and every other major club's) radar.

The more Barkley plays, the better he will become. The better he becomes the, the more stories of this type will crop up. Let's not try to over-react when they do.

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree with the 3rd comment. Not much in these rumours at the moment, but as he gets better there will be more stories. Hope we can keep for for a good few years yet. If we are to cash in on him eventually, I'd rather it be when he's much better and we can get a lot of money out of any potential buyer.

I'm interested in everton signing Messi, doesn't mean anything going to happen about it though.

I see Moyes is at it again. Press conference in reference to Fellaini he brings up how much he wanted Baines and how it was only until the last minute that they split the deals up. Basically a nice public reminder that he could have been at Utd and it was us who wouldn't allow him to leave. Sewing the seeds for the January circus.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

I for one are starting to get sick of this circus. We need to get on with the important thing of playing football, Gollum is obsessed, destabilised us for one year, now he is at it again. Bainsey will be not be focussed, until he get's his move. What I cannot understand, if he really wanted him, he should have paid, but come January, he will get him on the cheap.

Would be funny if during his next press conference the club's lawyers served him a nice big writ!

Agree2 Disagree0

Hate talking about Moyes because we need to move on but he's making that an impossible task. I heard his comments about Baines yesterday and they were designed to do nothing but destabilise. No need to bring him up. Just let him get on with his job. But he needs to have his sly pop.

Agree0 Disagree0

He also says he has given up, and was only going to use him as back up it Patrice evra, put the whole story!
If I was baines now I'd think, f*ck you, World Cup year on the bench, good reason to sign improved contract at us.

Think we should get lawyers involved if he is tapping him up! We are trying to move on.

Agree1 Disagree0

He also said that any deal for Baines is now dead so stop worrying.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are we resorting to Liverpool fan style tactics refering to our previous manager as "Gollum"? No need! He's not "destabilsed" anyobody - just saying how much he rates the player. Everything has to be blown up into a big melodramatic kick off. Moyes is no different from many other managers in that he covets one of our players. More annoyed at Mourinho's arrogance re: Barkley, as if Chelsea is every players dream destination.

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't moyes always say he wouldn't talk about other clubs players when he was at everton

Agree1 Disagree0

Exactly - "when he was at Everton" (my capital 'E' on the name of the club we support). Martinez is our manager now - he controls our destiny. Anything outside the club is just Premiership business as usual.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just have a feelin' he won't be United Manager in January!
