I'm not sure lads. Walsh has a nack of recognising a gem in a poor team. Like Gana for example. No offense to Villa not a poor club at all but they struggled last season and even though he probably was their best player he is improving this season. Has yet to reach his full potential and is surprising people getting there. Just like numerous signings for Leicester.

Walsh has the unique talent of spotting these things. Although Kone was poor Mon night its one game. He mightn't be all that happy there either. That's just speculation. Stones in truth wasn't happy with us. At these early stages with City he is proving his worth. Always conducted himself professionally at Everton. Wanted the move but kept his mouth shut and respected the club. I for one wish him the best.

Kone I'd like to see come. I may be wrong but I have a lot of faith in Walsh and Koeman that Kone would workout. Not saying all signings will but the odds would be good imho.

Nbtb I to have faith in koeman and Walsh but think in holgate we have such a great talent who has been excellent in the first few games this season that's why I am glad kone isn't going join us and limit holgate chances of getting first team games.

I agree on Holgate duke75. Personally I would of started him against Sunderland and made Coleman fight a little for his place. Thought it would help in Holgate's development and created healthy competition.

Have to disagree Coleman is by far the better RB do think we are okay for CB at the moment though I thought the back four looked really solid against Sunderland and with both Mori and Holgate on the bench I think we have enough cover while everyone is fit. I am not sure if Kone was our actual first choice target or if he was just a fallback option after other targets were not available its difficult to work out which with all the media tripe about towards the end of the window. Not signing him may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. I think if RK wants another CB we may see fully SW scouted player arriving in January but if things go as we hope then we may not need another.

I never said Holgate was better RB. I agree Coleman is the better RB. Just thought to keep competition within the squad and to keep Coleman on his toes Holgate could of started. Just hope he gets a proper chance again. Galloway was doing good in the first half of last season and developed well. Then for the second half he was rarely seen.

Glad he went out on loan to a good team and good manager which will help him. Just hope Holgates development isn't hindered because he deserves a proper chance imho.

I would also like to see holgate get more playing time maybe in the cups with either jags or ash as his partner, mind you with RK being so flexible he may well use a back 3 depending on who we are playing so he may get a run out then.

Dodge Sissoko dodge Kone so that's £48m saved to improve areas in January!

Here's hoping Browning can come back abd make the grade too. He looked solid when he had a short run in the side.

The signing of the 5 year contract will no doubt have certain conditioned factored in e.g in case of relegation or maybe a set fee for him to be released similar to Gana only not as cheap 😂.
