Just wondering if Ed or anyone else knows for sure how exactly how RM trains our players is it true about the rumours we hear that we don't practice free kicks taking them or defending them and what about our corners do we not practice taking and defending them also because the.

{Ed025's Note - apparently we dont practice corner taking or defending skylark, he has said that before and i cant for the life of me think why not?..just another flaw in this guys never ending cock-up capers mate..

Its like jumpers for goalposts stuff, he selects 11 players, then after 2 mins into a game, its like 13 year old school boys, all teararsing up the pitch, wanting to be Pele, lose the ball, goalkeeper screaming, come back, come back, to which half stroll back.

Blimey, even the bad old days, we at least practiced set pieces.

Thanks for the reply Ed bit of an abrupt ending to my post I pressed the wrong button I was going to continue but never mind but in reply to your post why on earth would a premiership manager not practice such basic drills on a training ground how the hell has he got his coaching badges and why the hell would any top club employ such a manager and the rest of his staff must also not practice such drills its unbelievable the mind boggles.

{Ed025's Note - it really does sklark, he is a believer in pure football like the barcelona ethic and seems to think set plays are old hat, but thats the reason why a lot of the lesser clubs are sitting above us in the league and that will be his undoing in the end mate..

Couldn't agree more, don't know how true it is but I've heard of a couple of training ground walk off's by the players due to the training drills.

We all know his latest illogical mutterings I. E. I have not done any different in all my 7 years Premiership experience. However, at this stage of the season nothing is going to happen, so for the remainder we should do as we have always done and that is back the Team to the hilt and hope above hope that at the end of the season the Board's commonsense will prevail. Who knows they may already have someone lined up.

That all maybe true but it certainly doesn't stop players practising taking corners or free kicks after official training.

Ffs they only do a couple of hours training a day.
Is it really beyond them to stay behind an hour to do this?

To be fair to them lance they shouldn't have to stay behind. Anyone who is a premier league manager, scratch that, any football manager, knows to practice set pieces. Yeah he might think they're old but they're still in the game! Ed how likely do you think it is that he will get sacked? I have a horrid feeling that he'll still be here next season.

I expect a few of them will stay behind and have a bit of shooting/ free kick practice but that is missing the point mate. The manager should be putting them through drills to perfect set piece movement but, as a few have already pointed out, RM has openly admitted we don't practice corners etc.

His argument is that statistically very few goals are scored straight from corners. In fairness, that's generally true, but he's missed the fact that it's because teams practise defending them! We've conceded goals from corners this season that at times cost us points and he still refuses to acknowledge it. Just stupid.

{Ed025's Note - i have that feeling as well robbo and i will be very disappointed if he is mate, he has made far too many mistakes to be kept on surely..

Evening Eds, not posted on here for a very long time!

I follow the page religiously and have done for years, but enjoyed keeping my opinion to myself and viewing others people's views instead.

This is just a query really, probably a pointless one - but still I'm curious.

What are the chances of a player like Bojan Krkic leaving the Britannia this summer? Is he a wanted man by clubs (including Everton) ? For me, this man is talented beyond belief and I feel despite that, he still lacks appreciation from outside of his own club. I believe players like him are the type of 'realistic' targets Everton could afford to take a punt on, bonus points for having valuable PL experience. Also, for all you winger haters. Consider this an inquiry should we lose wingers this summer, or even better, think of him in the No:10 role.

Cheers,

P. s, it's good to be back!

{Ed002's Note - Stoke are keen to retain the services of Bojan Krkic but are aware that the player would like a return to Italy at some point whilst Valencia would like to take him back to Spain and Arsenal has toyed with a move fore him. Thoughts of any weird clauses and clubs lining up to buy him are wide of the mark. I don't think anyone sees him moving for perhaps the summer of 2017.}

Does the fact that we are being linked to players Martinez likes suggest he will be in charge next season?
