Have got it on very good authority it is Rooneys intention to fish his career with us. Maybe he might be coming back sooner rather than later.

Believable18 Unbelievable32

Boring

Agree0 Disagree0

IMHO and in all seriousness as good a player he is - he will be more trouble than he is worth. He just wants to be the biggest fish in the pond as far as I am concerned. he really needs to give his head a shake and wakeup to the fact tha the is not the player he was and honestly he never urned into the player I thought he could. he was eclipsed by Ronaldo, he is currently eclipsed by RVP and kagawa, and afraid to say it but I believe his ego would cause too much disturbance at everton. controversial maybe but my opinion. jlaff

Agree0 Disagree0

He will never come back, I'm sure of that.

Would be a bit of a catch if we got him lol

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll be Back alright just not right now. But would love to see him in an Everton shirt next season don't get me wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we want a player at the twilight of a relatively unfulfilled career?
He had his chance and took another path. Let the youngsters like Barkley have their moment - build for the future - not live in the past

Toffeedragon

Agree0 Disagree0

You are bonkers mate you are basically saying you don't want one of the best players in the world bk at our club give your own head a wobble mate

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the best players in the world?! Over hyped more like it. What has he achieved in the last 2 years? Tantrums and average performances. if that make you one of the worlds best then wobble on!

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite close to his family 'relatively' speaking, and he will come back, but not just yet. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Hasn't fullfilled his potential? Some Everton fans never seem to dissapoint with their views. He has won virtually every honour in the game. Who out of our current and past squads since 1995 including our departing manager have ever won anything

Agree0 Disagree0

He wants to play for everton, he clearly cannot be bothered at united. The only thing preventing it is, his wage, the fee an the agent fee.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not going to go into why or how I know Wayne but let's say I have known him from baby anyway when I saw him as a young boy playing in the streets in his everton kit he was always going to make it and to the top no question about it and with both being everton fans I was pleased that his family got the call he wanted everton dream 1 completed he shone in youth teams and he was the best kept secret, as the boy become a first team player he was first to admit that he knew he would not be at everton long as he dreamed of winning titles and other trophies in his words were if only I could do it wearing this, his everton shirt he knew his life would change and knew the fans would not like it but the point I am making is he is approaching what should be his best years and he has completed dream 2, how can anyone say he was a traitor any boy with talent should achieve there dreams if he stayed with us he would not have won anything, he told me when he left for utd he will be back one day and with something to offer and he don't want to come back when he is in his last few years 28/29 was his aim, I am not going to say he is signing for us as I have not spoke with him for a fair few years but maybe it was dream 3 and who knows his love for everton is to big and don't let his wages put you of the thought of him signing, can't wait to put a banner saying welcome home at goodison as that day will happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfulfilled are you joking Prem, Euro Cup just to start with give your head a shake

Agree0 Disagree0

If there average performances what the hell are anichebe's and jelavic's

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes swap with Rooney. fair enough - as long as they're on the same wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets face it egos aside. , he's a bluenose.? One of us, probably enough money to do what ever he wants and when he wants. i'd love to see him back and what a massive snub to Man U that would be. And let's face it he has won things.? Remind me of our trophy tally in the last eleven year's? Think Shrek has done slightly better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on degsy I'm sure we could reel him in

Agree0 Disagree0

Anybody who says that they wouldn't take Rooney at Everton is either smoking crack or is lying. People may have criticisms of Rooney, but he is still a world class player. He is important to United and that is why they won't let him go. Therefore imagine what he would do for us! And any arguments about; "let the younger players have their moments". They will, why would the addition of Rooney prevent their progress? A player ready to take a step down and a massive wage cut is a gesture within itself. But I don't think he will come back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wayne is still a big blue, his son is being brought up as one. It is common knowledge within his circles that it is his intention to finish his career with us. Money WON'T be as bigger issue as people think, he has plenty. He'll play for next to nothing or free.

Regarding his performance I'd take a half fit Rooney over Jelly or Victor any day of he week and twice on Saturdays!

Agree0 Disagree0

I was the 3rd poster. and I agree the lad still has talent. but I reckon a Rooney without the scandal, without the smoking, without the mental frailties would have eclipsed RVP, Ronaldo etal. however it never happened the way I hoped or the way it could have. that was my point and I don't think the best of Rooney is yet to come. he ain't going to get any better. which means he has peaked (at least that's my opinion although I don't doubt he is good enough to be included in anyone's squad). That aside he has the money, he has the medals, he has the glory, he has the team and yet he's not happy. so what does the lad want? He wants to come to Efc for a swan song? Or to show that he was always really a blue. in my mind its all about ego and we can't afford to have egos in our side. now if by some way bk could sign him and pay him 50k a week then of course i'd say definitely, however would you take an 80% cut in salary? Doubt it very much. and only a fool would accept to receive 9 million a year less. and I think he has 2-3yrs left on his contract? So a loss of 20ish million quid. ain't going to happen. jlaff

wayne rooney, once a blue allways a red. the day that spoilt brat comes back to everton is the day I will support the team upn the east lancs road. He has got to be the centre of attention all the time or he has one of his tantrums, He made his choice when he left, We have survived with out him and hope we carry on doing so. You all have very short memories. Kev t

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney's wages at United, not to mention the vast amount he has already raked in from sponsorships etc. means that he is already made for life. If he moved to Everton, he would have to take a pay cut but would still make in a week more than most of us make in a year, in other words, he would still be making vast sums of money. Given the amount he has and stands on making wherever he goes, I'm not sure money would be that much of a motivating factor for him. Also, he's won more-or-less everything with United, the only thing he really needs to achieve is an international trophy. Playing week in week out for Everton would help him more than warming the bench at United. Also, his legacy, his return to Everton in a period of instability would really cement him not just as an Everton legend, something he grew up wanting to be. But a real example for all clubs in the cut throat world of football. He would receive universal praise from everywhere.

ha ha

I think there were only two of us that were onto the fishing jokes

Agree0 Disagree0

The best part is people are so against Rooney, yet so many are for lesscot.
I'm my eyes what lesscot did was well worse!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do poeple think he would take a pay cut to us if let's say psg would give him 200k, he's out to make as much as he can before he retires and that's life, I doubt etoo loves russia or anelkas over the moon in china.

i would also add he's a shadow of the hungary teenager (no pun intended) that left us, sluggish and no were near the fight he had, lefts face it if he was still a world beater united would keep him why should we take an expensive cast off

People really do have short memories! I'm a fan who doesn't worry about the chairman or the amount of money we have. I support the team game by game and loyalty plays a big part in who I want at my club. Rooney is a PERSON I don't want at our club, not as a player but as a PERSON. he probably could of went to any other top club and acheived what he wanted but no rooney chose manchester united! And have you all forgot him celebrating infront of our fans a couple of years ago! Fickle fans

Agree0 Disagree0

If PSG offered him 200k under there new tax he would lose 75% so he would only be on 50k a week, we can give him that!

Agree0 Disagree0

Evertonians never cease to amaze me. Do you really think Rooney and Lescott instigated their moves away? Nothing to do with the massive fees we received then. it' called spin have any of you ever heard of it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney would be class for us. The fickle hypocrite fans that we have wouldn't take long to be chanting his name again if we signed him. He would out score jelavic any day. Class player, can't wait till he comes back. As for the fans who don't like him and would support someone else, thank god, hopefully he moves sooner rather than later and everton can be rid of your fake support.

Agree0 Disagree0

He may have won a shed load of trophies with his team of choice, however he failed to develop into the player he had the talent to become. He is a shaddow of the potential, hardly a world beater and sadly unfulfilled his career in terms of footballing attainment personaly.
His report card would read 'B- Wayne initially showed true ability and aptitude to be the best in the world however a series of poor choices and personal greed halted that growth'.
Has medals and awards for team permance but lacks individual recognition as failed to deliver. Lampard and Gerrard have come closer to top recognition by FIFA and UEFA.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance his best years are gone sir Alex is not daft it was the worst team he has had in 15years his players are getting old Rooney just wants more money no players coming from the youth team that's why he left moyes will have a big job to do there. Rooney will still be with united in 2years time trust me, gibbo.

Agree0 Disagree0

I ain't suggesting he's not good but I think if were going to be paying a 100k he should be are best plsying which sadly I don't think he will be

when he left everton he was at or near his peak physically he matured young and his body has reached its peak quicker, poeple who are suggesting we small minded fans need to remember that we donk have money to burn he would cost close to 30 - 60m with wages money we just don't have

Agree0 Disagree0

We would have to pay him a 100k for him to earn 50k here still too much

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney is 4th on list of leading goal scorers at the most successful British club at the age of 27. Those people saying he hasn't fulfilled his potential, are you sure?

Rumoured Everton target Michael Laudrup has a £10 million buyout clause in his contract, it was put in place a few months ago when he signed his new contract at Swansea City, would spending this much to get him as Moyes' replacement be worth it or a waste of valuable money?

Dixon544

Believable18 Unbelievable20

I think a waste as he won't stay more than 3 seasons he's not a man for the long term just my opinion although I do like the guy

Agree0 Disagree0

Where have you been for the last week as just about everybody knows about that clause, well apart from you obviously.

Agree0 Disagree0

A little birdie told my mate the might be a straight swap going to take place bainsey for wazza. because roney wants to come back to his childhood team. an even take a pay drop. because if he goes a big club. he won't get played as much. an wants to play every game. an he wishes to finish his career at goodie. now moyes has gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you ever thought about the possibility that your mate might be a bit soft?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2013 08:11:38
They can keep Rooney and we can keep Bainesee

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know about Laudrup but want someone in place asap, before the manager-go-round starts (kinda already has)

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said degsy, a fat, lazy, moaning arsed big time charlie with his best days behind him. I'll have him on a free when he's 31 and the end of career panic sets in. Might get 2 decent years then. JP

Agree0 Disagree0

Aren't we saving that on Moye's salary?

Agree0 Disagree0

We should sell baines to mufc, and use the 10 mill to get laudrup

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are saving that on Moyes salary you suggest that he would be willing to work for free

Agree0 Disagree0

I am suggesting he won't earn what Moyes earned and Moyes was on £4m a year. Give Laudrup £2m a year over 4 years, and you save £8m. Simples. And the £10m - its negotiable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Perria please

Agree0 Disagree0

Laudrup needs to want to manage us first surely?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would kenwright spend 10mil on a manager when he barley gave it to moyes to spend, face facts, we will be getting the cheapest option and that means and out of work manager, in other words, a useless person

Agree0 Disagree0

Laudrup wouldn't deny wanting the job or Mackay on MOTD last week so that goes a long way.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the "simples" person, a manager who's supposedly valued at £10m will work for half the salary of moyes.
Get a grip tofifees, laudrup has better prospects where he is.
