Darren Gibson gone off with knee ligament injury that's him out for a while

Believable12 Unbelievable2

He has been poor for a while and won't be missed that much

Absolutly ridiculous comment.

Disgraceful reply. Have some compassion for the lad, he was in agony last night. When he was fit and having a run of games last season, he made the team tick. Whilst we have Barry to play in there who as been great for us and has made the position his own, its not nice to see any player suffer like that

Mart (FugeeBlues)

Ridiculous first comment. He was excellent last season and all pre season, barely played other than that. Disrespectful and stupid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gutted for Gibbo and as fans we should rally to support him.
Its all the more gutting when it was his first game back for Ireland since trap left.

Fingers x the ACL hasn't totally gone totallt but even if it hasn't he is looking at a minimum of 6 months if lucky with intensive rehab.

Anyway Gibbo good luck with the recovery. {Ed025's Note - well said AW, i think we all echo that mate..

With hietinga most likely off in january do you think we will be after another cb with thomas vermaelen saying he could leave to help his chances to play for belgium in the world cup I think he would ne a great fit

Believable18 Unbelievable3

Overrated. Besides we have Alcaraz, Stones and, at a push, Hibbert and Duffy.
If RM goes for a cb it will likely be a young, upcoming player like Martins Indi maybe.

read that myself mate, I think he would suit us perfectly myself, not sure what wages the guy is on though

no he is poor, cannot defend as evident when he played last season, he is also on big wages, has a poor injury record and would cost over 10m so no plus he would not improve us, stones, jags, distin and alcaraz are more than enough and hibbo, barry and even duffy if need be will do a job so no, very overrated and is belgiums fifth best centre back imo

I think he would be good for us

Agree0 Disagree1

He is a very good defender. I think if we got te chance to sign him we should go for it.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think he is the final year of his contract and can play left back as well

Question

Who come up with this RedBull nonsense? Is it a legitimate roumour or just someone's fantasy? Excuse me for being ignorant but I'm currently working abroad.

Baz {Ed025's Note - it is a legitimate rumour baz..

Believable8 Unbelievable1

This would be good as we have bull from the redrubbish all the time.
Everton RedBulls works for me.
If advertised correctly this really would get on Liverpools nerves.

Hi ed. Do you think there is any truth in the red bull rumours {Ed025's Note - i have been informed that there is interest from red bull to acquire a team who will raise the profile of their sporting team by getting in the top 4, and challenging for the champions league, the 2 teams who fit this bill are everton and west ham, who are both affordable and willing to sell, there has been no definite offers yet, and it is very early days, but there is a real interest there..

Believable3 Unbelievable6

No way we would be called Everton red bull? {Ed025's Note - they could call us.."the echo"...thats full of red bull.. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

They could and probably would call us Red Bull liverpool/merseyside/uk/britain, it wouldn't be Everton any more in any sense. Change of badge, shirt, stadium name, manager, CEO (not necessarily a bad thing) we'd essentially become a marketing/advertising vehicle for them.
I couldn't 'support' a 'club' like that.

Agree0 Disagree2

I don't think we need to worry West Ham are a far better prospect for investment they are a London team moving into the olympic stadium.

SA90

Agree2 Disagree0

It'll be West Hame then, right in London and a brand spanking new stadium to move into. Put this one to bed straight away

Agree0 Disagree0

As a life long hammers fan this type of investment does not appeal to me and many other hammers fans have voiced concerns about what if redbull wanted to buy westham.
some of these would be investors now days could be the end for some clubs
