Picture going around of a young gylfi standing next to the Dixie Dean statue in an Everton top . My gut tells me it's false but would love it to be true. Anyone else seen it?

Hearing lots of murmurs about Welbeck as another target, well I do feel Welbeck could be an amazing signing played through the middle and my only concern would be fitness! Can't question his hunger and desire and I feel he would bust a gut with a potential England slot as a carrot dangling before him!

Welbeck is a top athlete. Has been injured a lot, but much of this has been because he's thrown himself into games when fit. You never know how well the right kind of player will do with the right kind of players around to provide. I think Welbeck would be great in our current setup.

From what I read, psv are about to sell their number 1 and room is moving to replace him. If it's true, ya can't blame him cause he obviously weren't going to be starting many games for us.

I can't believe anyone would be happy to have Welbeck, he struggles for fitness and has hardly ever been prolific, if United deemed him not good enough and the Arsenal the same, surely that speaks volumes?

Always been a target mate before Keane and makes sense with Funes Mori being injured and Gibson being Left footed. Also linked with West Brom and Southampton too but favours Everton according to a source Close to home. Rumours have come up on twitter too.

If the rumours are true that Man City want Evans and get their way I personally feel that would move Gibson to West Brom so couldn't seen us moving on Gibson.
I would love us to move on Van Dijk which would be made more interesting if Southampton could be persuaded to sell to any other club than Liverpool due to the tapping up/ not tapped up debacle. He could fill that position for the next 6 seasons while the younger players we have and are recruiting develop!
However that is highly unlikely to happen so perhaps Wesley Hoedt could be the answer?
If City get their way with Evans and we are still searching then perhaps Mangala on a season long loan could be an option.

Would not have Wellbeck as a free gift, unt got rid, poor goals per game, this aspect of his game has not improved at Asenal, must be rubbing the hand, just to get him off their wage bill, "low price" is an indication of just how keen they are to get rid.

We only need a striker to contribute 10 - 1 goals now we have other players who can provide goals. Wellbeck hasn't had the best run but only because he's been injured quite a lot but only the same as everyone else in the arsenal squad. Maybe under Koeman and kluitenburg he can get a good run of games. Versatile too.

Look at welbeck record for England before judging, half the time he's played out wide, if he's played threw the middle he will get goals and he's one strong player and is really good at winning the ball back, remember who we've added he doesn't have to get 25 goals 15 would be a very good return with Rooney and gilfi, sandro, klaasson .

I really like Wellbeck but worried he's another one who gets a hangnail and rules himself out for two months like Sturridge. Although as someone else said chronic injuries seem to be a symptom of playing for Arsenal.

Great news looking that Gylfi Sigurdson is finally going to sign. Next then a must Striker all the names mentioned I would say Benteke is my preferred option.
Where will these players fit in? I know we need a bigger squad and rotate through the season being in Europe. We also have options to play different systems. The biggest decision is do we play with width i. e. Mirrallas, Bolasie and Lookman. Or do we play with one striker and have Rooney Sigurdsson just behind and have width from wing backs? What's your thoughts ed? I think if we have a target man we need the width or if we play Ramirez up front Rooney and Sigurdson could open teams up. It will be interesting and exciting over the next few weeks to see this new look Everton transform.

I'm not sure Sigurdson n n the middle. Can see him Beng IN middle of park creating havoc. on a wing. not for me. poor pace but I think in middle of park he can create for both sides of pitch. just don't know how unfit gueye, Schneiderlin, Davies, klaasen into the team. don't think any deserves to be dropped.

Sigurdsson, Rooney, Keane, Klassen, Pickford and Ramirez so far. How can anybody complain about any of that. A striker and a centre back now would finish it off nicely. Oh and don't forget we have Coleman and Bolasie coming back. 👍👍.

Need a striker without a shadow of doubt, at the moment we can cope with Williams and Keane in the backline, but for me a striker is a must.
