Diame of west ham for £3.5m would be nice.

Believable4 Unbelievable14

Diame is not good enough. If we want to fight for the 4th spot we need to bring in players of a higher quality than him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I fully agree mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you seen him play tonight against Man U? Utter garbage & would not improve the squad. No thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

Diame is defo good enough for atop 4 team. The person stating he is not doesn't know much about footy

Agree0 Disagree0

He's been out for 3 months or so hasn't he? Not always easy coming back from injury, I think he's a great player.

toffee jack

Agree0 Disagree0

Deluded if you wouldnt have diame, defo top 4 quality

Why would we even consider Ashavin?! Would be an awful signing and a waste of wage budget! Danny Graham is who we need!

Believable8 Unbelievable16

We're trying to move on from championship class players. I would be gutted if we bought Danny graham. Step back. Arshavin is proven quality but would have to take a reasonable wage. Kc blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither are good enough for what we're trying to achieve, imho.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arshavin was quality when he came here with zenit, and Russia at the euros a few years back. the arse have slaughtered his confidence. moyes could bring him back. could be great imo

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the 3rd comment..just look at what happened to Chamakh as well, bangin them in in Ligue 1, and as soon as he moves to Arsenal, the pressure gets to him and he can't hit a barn door...Arshavin can still do what he did for Arsenal when he first moved there, he just needs the confidence. Class is permanent and all that!..

Murf

Agree0 Disagree0

No to Danny Graham, and although I think moyes may be able to get more out of him than Wenger, it wouldnt be worth the wages he would want. But catagorically no to Graham

Agree0 Disagree0

When Moyes scouted Ashravin before the euro's and asenal snapped him up, he was class... no more! Moyes wouldnt sign someone who prefers to play chess than footie!

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2013 08:08:04
Class is permanent?? Look at torres. a has been. Arshavin is not a moyes type of player. not a grafter. not for me.

Ray

Agree0 Disagree0

Danny graham don't be stupid he's no better than we've got now

Capoue apparently had a choice of French clubs but signed for Toulouse because the weather was good. LOL

Believable12 Unbelievable7

16 Jan 2013 17:39:17
This capoue looks interesting and I've said all along we might just splash abit. Please oh please someone go and locate Landon Donavon, give him a shake and get the little man through the door at Finch Farm. Those 2 on permenant deals, no exits, CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. Come on You Blues.

Leon EFC

Believable16 Unbelievable7

Give him a shake & shave ??

Agree0 Disagree0

Donavon won't be coming he's going through personnel problems & won't s time on his own

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I've heard from various sources about his personal inner turmoil that he's facing. I'm just preying that when he finds himself he decides a change of scenery is required.

Nobody in the USA would begrudge him the chance and some are even saying that the self proclaimed, and truly deserved, honorary Evertonian deserves the opportunity to play for us blues for the rest of his career.

I'd love it

Leon EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Donovan in the past, need to move on, we have enough wingers.

Agree0 Disagree0

What part of we haven't got any money don't you understand {Ed025's Note - and what part of you don't know that for a fact..don't you?..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025: of course none of us knows for sure if the club has any money, but if David Moyes, Bill Kenwright and Robert Elstone publicly state that we don't, then surely we can believe them? Or is it just a massive piece of deception on their part?
C.A.Jones {Ed025's Note - nothing surprises me anymore jonesey..we will wait and see mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't be surprised if we got a 'Bullies special prize' nor would I be surprised if the outcome was 'look what you could have won'. But I want to believe we'll get a decent signing and I believe we will. One thing I know for certain is you can never second guess Davey Moyes

Agree0 Disagree0

How can we expect to attract players when the manager hasn't committed himself to the club

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you say we have enough wingers when we are playing with natural strikers playing on the right?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the last comment there surprised big vic aint playing there either

Agree0 Disagree0

is there any truth in us getting this capoue ? {Ed025's Note - the club have denied it, but you never know..

Believable6 Unbelievable6

16 Jan 2013 17:00:07
Everton say no truth in capoue interest. SSN

Believable13 Unbelievable8

Its not on ssn {Ed025's Note - it was before mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Well it was most likely fabricated anyway but would you want other clubs to know your targets and players your looking at no! Newcastle made it public they wanted loic remy what happened QPR came in and offered more money you never reveal or give hints on your targets or players you are trying to sign cause there is always a team who will try to outbid you just so you don't get some players

Agree0 Disagree0

The last poster is spot on. We tend to deny every rumour because if we say we are interested then the arse holes pardew and redknapp will come in for the player

Cant see arsenal letting us sign Arshavin when we are in direct competition with them for a top four finish...

Believable14 Unbelievable5

I beg to differ, I think they would allow us to have Arshavin if it's a race between us and them for 4th.. He's a step down for us now.

toffee jack

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said we want to sign him? a step away from 4th and not towards it that signing would be

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats the point Arshavin has not played a good game for Arsenal in two years! He is finished!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes they would he is crap ! do not get him

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2013 13:24:07
been linked with a few good players this window, wonder how much truth is in them...
butland (6mill)
capoue(10mill?)
arshaving (loan probably)
rosicky (2/3 mill)
forren(4 mill)
maybe a couple more not to sure.. what you thinking ed? {Ed025's Note - one of them would be good..

Believable6 Unbelievable13

I'd prefer a more experienced keeper myself, something similar to when we brought Howard to the club. I think the Capoue deal is a non starter down to finances and can't see anybody leaving this window. Arshavin is incapable of rolling his sleeves up for his team/manager/or own good so forget that. Rosicky could have legs but either a loan or a lower fee than 3m. If we were serious about Forren we would have acted before his supposed trial across the park. Impossible to predict our transfer activity, i predict 2 late loan deals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forren will not happen. Terms have been agreed with Saints, he is currently undergoing a medical, and subject to that there is a Press Conference booked for tomorrow.

Agree0 Disagree0

So you believe everything that is in the papers! i'll put money on that we sign someone that hasn't been linked to us in the papers

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2013 13:19:51

The Sun are reporting 10 million bid for Capoue. {Ed025's Note - it must be true then...if the sun says so..

Believable8 Unbelievable9

There's a few paper rumours now Ed and not just the SC*M, this may be a goer mate, had you actually heard of the guy previously as I havn't but looks good on the vids, I know anyone could look good on YT but heres hoping

Degsy {Ed025's Note - some of the other ED,s think he's a good player degsy, I have not seen enough to form an opinion mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Top, top class player, one of the best in the world. A cross between Vieira, Scholes and Gerrard. World class talent. I haven't actually seen him play, but thought I'd jump on the bandwagon early. However, if he signs for another team, then I think he is useless. that's the script on here isn't it ed?

Mike {Ed025's Note - you do make me smile mike..your bird deserves a medal, living with you..

Agree0 Disagree0

101greatgoals reporting that the fee has been agreed between everton and toulouse (between 10 and 12 million euros)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ill be well happy if we can get this guy in and keep Fellini, total mid field domination every game! Johno.

Agree0 Disagree0

And where exactly have we got the 10mil from? Andy

Agree0 Disagree0

Im interested in ligue 1 and follow the bordeaux games. watched Capoue a few times when the sides have met. He is very powerful, quite pacey, great in the air and can really pass a ball. He keeps it simple when needed and his ball retention is second to none. His tackling is highly succesful. Like a cross of felli and makele of the chelsea of old in my opinion. Also, many people and media suggesting he is felli's replacement. I think moyesy is thinking of neville replacment. its proven in the stats (even though many off you think he does nothing) that Phil playing results in more possesion, more chance creation and more points. Neville keeps the ball and break up play moving the ball from defence to the more attacking and creative midfielders so i guess people would label him CDM. Now back to Capoue, this guy is a younger, more techically brilliant, more poweful and faster version of neville. I know we have gibbo who we loves but due to injuries seemigly hitting us every season in midfield to be able to choose from Gibbo, Super Kev, Peanuts, Ossie, Felli and then add capoue to the mix would leave us with one of the best midields in the prem only beaten by city and chelsea for me. This guy could be the catalyst to fourth spot

Paul the toffee.

P.s apoligies for the essay. {Ed025's Note - great work Paul, thanks for the info mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2013 15:12:07
Mike that's your best post ever mate, class

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

A cross between Viera Scholes and Gerrard? sounds like one ugly f**ker

Agree0 Disagree0

Are they interested in Magaye Gueye as a sweetener ? Let's hope they rate him highly !

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont bull paul youve never seen him...he plays for toulouse not bordeaux! {Ed025's Note - he said he seen him when Toulouse played Bordeaux, as he follows Bordeaux, you owe him an apology..

Agree0 Disagree0

This might have some truth to it actually, at least I hope. Vadis is quite similar to this guy and maybe the reason we've not heard about VO-O is because this kid is DM's first choice. If we don't get this kid then I believe we'll go for Vadis. Sly has just reported 2 PL clubs are interested in Capoue and Everton have denied an interest, but then they would do that so as not to alert other clubs to our targets, ie saints, the rs etc...

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be some "discussions" behind the scenes that mean they have to spend next years tv money early to get Felli/DM to agree to stay.

Sounds nice if it happens and we keep everyone, could be instead of the other Belgian guy we were after.

Agree0 Disagree0

Predictible window again Fellani gone on the last day and a loan to sweeten things up.Good old Bill. {Ed025's Note - stop doom mongering!..

Believable11 Unbelievable8

You know what mate its people like you that bring the doom and gloom to this site do you honestly think Moyes would stand for that given the position were in get a grip mate and be positive .Stef the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

This window will shape moyes future, if we sell Felliani last min he won't sign new contract, that's why he's delaying signing a new one, I'm optimistic Weil come out of this window stronger and Felliani will be here

Agree0 Disagree0

Bloody hell, you'd think we were bottom of the table the way some people are going on! {Ed025's Note - I know..it's getting ridiculous..

Agree0 Disagree0

Bk is a everton fan like you and me he only has clubs best intrest at heart do you think he sat at he's office thinking Ho I know I'll sell best players there's not many chairman who kick and head every ball iv got a good idea lets sell to one of them twobob millionaires who promise this and that then f#%k off to jail to avoid paying the poor *******s they robed the money off in the first place (happy new year

Agree0 Disagree0

Bill tends to polarise people into two camps, personally I believe neother assessment is realistic. A realistic way to look at him would be to recognise that despite his track record of both blatant dishonesty and refusing to answer enquiries of Everton fans and shareholders, Bill Kenwright seems to genuinely believe he is the best man for the job, though accounts show that off the pitch the business is run like a shambles, despite very moderate spending compared to other premier league outfits. From the transcript of the blue union meeting I get the impression that the man is simply deluded and a little bit selfish rather than malevolent. Combine this transcript with his reputation as being one of the lowest paying figures in showbusiness suggests to me that his priority #1 is adulation from Everton supporters who bizarrely fail to take him to task on his track record #2 'other operating costs', with the welfare of EFC a distant #3. Probably not a bad bloke, just a bit of a mediocrity who has been extremely lucky to get where he is in life and is unwilling to let go of the train set - not while he still gets the adulation of fans unwilling to assess him objectively. On the other hand he has left the on the pitch running to a Moyes and deserves credit for doing so. {Ed025's Note - or maybe he's just a good bloke, who does,nt like being badgered in car parks by over aggressive supporters, or have his private conversations taped behind his back..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why o why does Kenright still have the backing of some many fans? He has out and out lied to the fans on numerous occassions. He claims he has been looking for a buyer for the last 5/6 years- which is complete rubbish. How hard can it be (every other club seems to be able to find new buyers when on the market. We currently are fifth in the toughest league in the world and there is no apparent interest. What a load of garbage! He is a dishonest leech on the club with no intentions to sell. Those horrible b*stards over the road would never stand for it- so why should we? All he does is simply say he's a blue and all is forgiven! He hasn't got a pot to piss in and a large proportion of the money generated by player sales and tv revenue seems to somehow disappear. his head would have been on a spike outside Godison if it wasn't for Moyes's magic! Time to do one Billy b*llrubbish!

AJ

Agree0 Disagree0

People need to start being realistic. As far as i'm concerned Kenwright has done great for this club.We are not a big club anymore even though we have the best fans in the world. The only way we can win trophies again is if we find a multi billionaire owner.I can't see one bangin at the door can you?.All the kenwright haters would of been happy to see the club owned by an Indian consortium!.Look at blackburn!Until we get our billionaire i am happy for Bill to stay. It's not like were near the bottom of the table is it?.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather have Kenwright as chairman than the hundreds of Internet stream fans who never stop moaning.

Is it true Wenger has said Arshavin is coming to Everton on loan or an undisclosed fee? Can find it anywhere..................

TC

Believable4 Unbelievable11

Says that nowhere

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't find it TC, because it's BS mate...if he signs I think I'll turn to lawn green bowling (or whatever the hell it's called) instead of going the match

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd prefer Jermaine McGlashan over Arshavin any day. Thoroughly weird bloke Arshavin, he's like a little girl

Agree0 Disagree0

He becomes a free agent in the summer. I've heard a few people say a loan has been agreed and it was on ESPN yesterday as a possible deal with everton. Billyantinov has told Arshavin that everton is a step on the right direction

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2013 10:52:23

Arshavin is not joining us
Capoue is not joining
Vadis Ofoe hope he joins

Andy

Believable14 Unbelievable5

God youre positive

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol

You been hanging around with Mike mate

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair, I would only like Ofoe out of those three especially if Capoue is going to replace Felli, I would prefer to see him see out the season, at least

Mike
Aintree

Agree0 Disagree0

HAHA you read my mind Degsy....Stef the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh so certain till the last line! What inside knowledge

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumours are Capoue will be signed to eventually replace felli, not replace him right now

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not Arshavin? Moyes wanted him before Arsenal, and he's pretty good like, my only problem with Arshavin is when you nick your ball bag. JP {Ed025's Note - that tickled me JP..

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes might of wanted arshavin before he went arsenal but we've all seen him at arsenal, not the same player he was

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you say that for definate? Capoue would make sense. We would have him aswell as fellaini, therefore a boost in the search of a champions league place, untill the end of the season atleast. He would eventually replace fellaini so we would get the money back eventually whilst already having a player who has already fitted in (hopefully). Capoue is a quality player with a good price tag. This is the best rumour Ive heard so far. Hope we get him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you Ed, with regards to Capoue i'm with the last poster, it makes perfect sense including our funding of it by Felli going in the summer (probably) the pair of them getting us in CL, no trauma when he goes cos we've already settled our new chap in!

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2013 09:16:09
Mirallas back in training, but won't be risked at Soton, maybe on the bench?

EFCWhitesocks

Believable14 Unbelievable2

Mirallas has been back in full training for over a week now.

Still insure about the Saints game.

Fingers crossed though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just want to see this lad play, is that really that much to ask for?

Starting to forget the fact that he even plays for us still, just can't wait to see this lad play again, not only does he make us a lot better, but he is the type of player you pay to watch.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2013 08:05:33
I don't think that Fellaini will go, but I have to say if he does go i think BK will sell him on transfer deadline day so we have no time to buy any players and he can pay off our debts. But as I said, i think he's going nowhere for now.

George Efc

Believable8 Unbelievable13

16 Jan 2013 18:49:12
What is wrong with people! Love him or hate him BK is an Evertonian 1st and everything else second and if you can't see that you are a mug. So just to Confirm, BK is going to hijack Evertons brightest season for years and leave us with no time to buy cover? Are the banks going to foreclose on our debts with the massive tv revenues comming next season? No. Are we on the brink of administration? No. Are we able to service the debt? Yes or we would have already been closed down. Can we please just get behind everybody at the club and bring the CL to goodison. We are Everton. {Ed025's Note - well said mate..

David Moyes was in Birmingham tonight to checkout on Leeds united right back Byram and maybee to knock on Lee Clarke's door regarding Butland ?

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Redmond

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont want butland too much to pay

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe to check on Barkely

Agree0 Disagree0

He wouldn't have been checking on Barkley, he wasn't in the squad. I'm assuming this is because he'll be cup-tied if/when he returns to us this season and could be needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Byram was awful too
Dave M

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought Barkley couldn't play coz you had to be at the club for the first game to play the replay?

Could be Butland but there's no way we'd pay up-front and no way they'd take installments that we'd offer. Byram would be a dodgy one.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2013 22:29:30
Would anyone go for Tremmel as a back up GK? Available on contract at the end of the year from Swansea, covered v well imo when Vorm was injured

Believable3 Unbelievable6

15 Jan 2013 22:23:07
Just wanted to clarify: WE WILL NOT SIGN CAPOUE. Out of our price and wage range, especially with the wealth of clubs linked with him. Can people please stop posting bs rumours about him please

Believable7 Unbelievable8

How is he out of our wage range? He plays in a low wage league with a very high tax rate. I don't think we can afford him unless we are borrowing against the new sky money or pay in installments like Fellaini. It can't be ruled out though and he would be the sort of transfer i would like to make.

Agree0 Disagree0

You forget there would be 6 million left of rodwell money it would cost 8 -9 million to buy capoue 5-6 million upfront more in instalments not impossible but it does seem very unlikely

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a rumour site! Good god mate it seems like you're the type of person who only wants negative rumours of Fellaini leaving posted and as soon as rumours about incomings start appearing, you want them gone. There is a chance of this happening, we were apparently skint when we signed Fellaini for £15mill. You don't know how much money we've got, you don't know if the rich board are dishing out finally or if Bill has scraped some cash together. WHY are you getting angry at rumours of players coming in on a RUMOURS SITE?

Agree0 Disagree0

The original report on this came from a respected French website Sud Ouest so it's not exactly a stupid rumour is it

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus... how the hell do you know ? Only Mr Moyes knows exactley what's going on, what cash he's stashed away and what sort of deal he can negotiate for this or any player for.... seriously wind yer neck in. IMWT

Agree0 Disagree0

He will not be not be neccessarily out of our price range, as someone pointd out; low wage league/high tax. It would be a good opportunity for him. The money will be eventually replaced when fellaini is sold, as we would definately get enough for fellaini. Wenger is an admirer of him but we could still get him if we act quickly. Who is to say he wouldnt turn arsenal down for everton... mirallas did.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2013 22:03:54
With everton been linked with capoue and vaids I would rather have vaids because more often and not Frenchman have a poo attitude or it could be better financially to got for vaids and capoues partner sissoko

Thoughts
Eddy

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I reckon you should stop generalising. You seem to forget we already have a Frenchman who is an ultimate professional which makes your statement sound silly to say the least.

Agree0 Disagree0

Except Capoue is a much better player and probably worth the difference in price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Capoue looks a better player than Vadis, although I rate VO-O highly this other lad looks on a different level. Would be a great signing but I'd be happy with VO-O

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2013 21:49:23
Moyes said Fellaini going nowhere, this French midfielder could be on his way with Ashavin add them to the squad we have with Mirrallas coming back i will be a very happy blue, maybe just maybe Kenwright talked the board into investing some money into the team i am only saying maybe but it would be good news in my mind.Stef the blue

Believable4 Unbelievable9

None of the board invest their own money in the club. any plqyers have to be funded out of the clubs turnover, hence the rising debt and the increasing wages to turnover ratio,

Agree0 Disagree0

I think people need to stop pretending they no what the board do. The original post only suggested maybe the other members had been persuaded to put money in. Too many kopites and negative attitudes on this site. Look where we are in the league if investment is added or even board member guarantee a loan ie no out lay by them, then we could be as close to our former glory.
