When Moyes took charge it seemed we were possibles for relegation, he saved us. Within 12 months we'd moved up a level, mid table security. Then he improved us further, champs league qualifying position, again, another level. Since then he has regularly got us in and around European qualifying league placings. Yes, in all this time we've failed to win a trophy, but surely that has more to do with the board failing to back him financially rather than Moyes himself. Does any Evertonian seriously believe another manager could do better with the meagre budget that our board provides? Personally, I don't. But its all about opinions, all I ask fellow Blues, is be careful what you wish for, at least the doubters anyway, if this fella had half the money Liverpool, Newcastle, Spurs, and the mega rich clubs had to spend i'm sure the trophy cabinet would look far more attractive. Its not the manager that needs changing fellas, its the non entities that hold the power of the club, but whatever happens over the next few months, Euro qualification or not, new manager or not, we'll support you evermore

Couldn't say it any better myself.

Michael Laudrup

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on PADDOCKBLUE

Agree0 Disagree0

So michael laudrup is better than moyes? after 2/3 of a season and 1 cup? really?

Agree0 Disagree0

My spot on was for the orginal op PADDOCKBLUE

Agree0 Disagree0

Since he`s been at Everton he`s had bad luck losing key players at key stages. Qualifying for the Champions League and losing Carsley, then losing Yakubu, Arteta and Jagielka in 08-09 and still getting to the FA cup final. Who knows what would have happened with these players fit, but i`d rather they were in the side at the time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Very true, afterall Charlton got rid of Curbishley because he could only finish 6th and look what happened to them.

What's with the continuous Moyes chat? His celebrations on sat didn't strike me as being from a man who is about to leave. just an observation.

Believable24 Unbelievable6

His celebrations to me smacked "stick that in your pipe and smoke it" he is the man for me and those constantly geting on his back need to back off now! - He proved a massive point to me on Saturday. HE HAS THE BACKING OF THE TEAM IF NOT THE BOARD FINANCIALLY. Moyes for another 10 years for me no questions asked!

Would anyone take Diame from West Ham in the summer to play alongside Gibbo? Ossie's getting on a bit now so I'd like to see a replacement.

Arsenal fan here and I was gutted when diame didn't move to arsenal. what a great signing he would be for everton. would allow fellaini to become the center forward he and moyes wants and will have a seriously trustworthy 'anchorman' and for the measly rumored 3.5m buy out clause. a steal

Everton apparently willing to listen to offers over £15 million for Mucha

Believable36 Unbelievable21

I think you should check out how much contract is left. more like a free.

Agree0 Disagree0

Humour is lost on so many people.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this is sarcasm! because of how good a game he had against southampton! some people just don't get it!

Agree0 Disagree0

This made me chuckle.

Ha Ha Maybe the events of the last week have taken the sense of humour from some Blues!
15m is a bit cheap tho!

he's put himself in the shop window with that performance on saturday, though I don't have the same belief or trust in him as I do Howard. i'd take £4m for him to be honest, he's the slovakian number 1 isn't he? i'd hate to see their number 2!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he retired from the Slovak national team because he wasn't getting any chances, but he was the number 1 I believe. Give him a run in the team and he'd improve and be a better choice than Howard, for me. Looks a psycho too so I'd keep him in to terrify the opposition

Everton strongly linked with summer move for cska Moscow and Japanese midfielder keusuki Honda the 26 year old has scored 9 goals in 22 appearances this season, fiorientina also interested in him he would cost around 10 million

Believable21 Unbelievable7

10 million? seems a little steep for a guy whos contract ends in november, 2/3 million maybe no one pays 10 million for a player who when the market opens has only 2/3 months on his contract, especially not moyes

Agree0 Disagree0

I somehow doubt he would cost 10mil, in fact, come the summer, would imagine he could sign a pre-contract with the club of his choice (fingers crossed us) as his contract runs out in December.

I would love Honda at Everton. The lad is a seriously talented footballer and given the price he will be available for, would be an amazing deal, not only on field, but off field with his immense popularity in Asia. But I just can't see it happening, there will be clubs who are in Europe offering much more money than Everton, and I just don't see it happening.

Agree0 Disagree0

If as a lot of us believe Felli will leave, then money will not be a problem, andthe lure of the Prem is second to non.
Honda is a very special player with a good engine!

Agree0 Disagree0

We could use the money from the sale of Felli to pay off the club's debt and give an opportunity to Barkley, McAleny, Vellios, Green etc!
But I expect more likely it'll be more of Neville and Naismith

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently, he has got a very good engine on him.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has a whopping left foot, very good set piece taker and yes he does have a brilliant engine. Very rarely troubles his team with injuries.

toffee jack

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Honda have been making good engines for years.

Can we please get all this transfer nonsense into perspective.
Why oh why do people post that this & that player is available for 10m or 15 m or 12 m?
Can we make it clear. we have no money! We have to sell to buy. simples. and when we sell half of that money will go to pay for the debt. that's simple enough isn't it. ?
Havnt a pot to piss in. yes that pot & piss!
with no plan from the board, to improve an ageing stadium, or to increase revenue.
Its a miracle we are where we are. and that's down to 1 man alone!
If he goes. we will be in Championship in 2 yrs.

Junior malanda being scouted by everton

Believable3 Unbelievable8

I've not read anything about that. But I'd like it to be true, he's having a really good season. Really promising player.
