Have heard rumours of Carlos Martinez RB, from Real Sociedad. He is 26 and fee would be about 2. 5-4 million

The last thing we need is another RB

We have at least 4 as it is, we don't need another. There are other priorities, a good CM is a matter of emergency.

Rumours from Croatian media that Everton could be interested in Lyon's defender Dejan Lovren in the summer. Liverpool and Barcelona were some of the clubs interested in the fella.
In my opinion he's a bit naive as a defender, picks up cards easily, but has a strong presence in the box and is a great tackler.
Unfortunately, he's probably too expensive for us, though it could be possible for him to sign for us, if Johnny goes in the summer.

Does anyone know (roughly) when Hibbo will be back? Think he'll actually make a big difference.
Cheers

Before I begin, I want it noted that I'm a massive supporter of Moyes and what he's done for our beloved club, I would love him to be at the club for another 11 years, I remember the shambles our club was under smith and walker with agent Johnston at the helm! But i'm mystified by Moyes openness in regard to his new contract, this is from a manager who always plays his cards close to his chest!

Now this may have to effects on our club.

1. Moyes forces the board and kenwrights hands onto finally backing him with the money he deserves to push us on, we may lose a star player but it will also mean Moyes getting every penny! and the summer being a rollercoaster of changes at the club for the better!

or

2. This uncertainty grows across the club, nobody knows what's happening next season, so some of them start to make their own plans, (we all know how agents work). Moyes than leaves in the summer and it may mean the end of an era, our side will lose 2-3 players because a new manager will have to be given money to build his own side.

Either way I think it was unprofessional of Moyes to openly state his decision depended on the clubs progress this season. he could so easily have stated that behind closed doors to the board, but to announce it at a press conferarance I feel was inexcusable! you can already feel this in the supporters, and let's face it, if this was from a player we would all be up in arms about it!

Either way, I'l still be cheering and crying for my beloved blues next week!

Yes, we probably will lose a star player in the summer, but DM or whoever is the manager, will not get every penny. We are overdrawn at the bank so the money will reduce the overdraft. Depending on who we sell we may even go into credit!
When we sell a player, resulting funds HAVE to go into the bank to offset the OD, this is a condition of the OD, that means that we cannot ring fence funds to buy new players.
Whilst in overdraft, or even if we have the potential to go into overdraft, we would have to apply to the bank before we may any capital purchases and this includes players.
If the bank says no, and they have in the past, then the directors would have to finance the deal, including wages from their own pockets. This is unlikely to happen, not because BK is tight, but because it would undermine the clubs credibility with the bank and whilst we are indebted to them that would have the potential to be a costly mistake.
If Moyes leaves, and I think that he will, then BK will fight to keep the majority of the star players at the club, who would leave, Baines? Fellani? Most likely, but not many others.
You post that DM could stay for another 11 years, but the bottom line is that whilst he has been manager we have won nothing, would anyone be happy with another 11 trophy-less years?
I too would be sorry to see DM leave but we do need to change things to enable us to move to the next level and now might just be the right time.

Baines and Fellaini are our only 2 players who would command over £10m in transfer fees, so they'd make the most sense. If I had a choice, then I'd prefer we lost Fellaini rather than Baines. Fellaini's goals can be replaced but Baines' attacking play, creativity and the amount of assists he gets is extremely rare for a lb and, imo, he would be the bigger loss. I'd take £25m for Fellaini and bring in a powerful midfield presence and an out and out striker, a bit like Jelavic was
