ssn now reporting Byram not joining Everton but West Ham. I can't say words fail me because they simply don't anymore. erm, now let me think, what else could possibly go wrong for our joke of a run football club in the next few weeks - oh yes, the takeover will be announced as fallen through and Yarmalenko will join a club with bigger aspirations. erm, and we 'll probably draw 1-1 with the Swans wiv them scoring in the 99th minute this weekend!

{Ed025's Note - take your shoelaces out zacki mate.. :)

19 Jan 2016 07:47:03
Why is it that when a player chooses another club for more wages it is because the club is run like a joke? Lot of disappointment because a squad player from the Championship decided to join another club.

While not that bad, I. E. Byram was probably told he would be second string. West Ham currently above us, he would have immediate football, they move into a new stadium. I agree we do seem to make things difficult for ourselves. Truth of the matter is that most of us do not really know what goes on behind the scenes and can only guess. Personally we need to identify the lead in all negotiations such as transfers, stadium, takeover etc! If that lead is an individual then the solution is obvious. As to Swansea, even if we were to draw or god forbid lose this weekend, who here thinks that anything would change. Team this weekend will also probably change from that played against Chelsea.

look at the facts the lad wants first team football so in this case I don't believe wages are an issue, he have the best right back in the prem ahead of him, he can play RW he have Lennon and Del Boy ahead of him so he won't get first team football.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2016 13:51:21
Bra boy blue byram wanted regular first team football something he wasn't going to get with us when Coleman is fit just wish we would use Jon jo Kenny at rightback think he as earned his chance and switch stones to centre with jags would give r back four a better balance to it.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2016 15:35:39
Cant fault the lad for wanting 1st team football, how many players have we slagged off for moving to a big club just to sit on the bench. he isn't as good as Coleman and the fact that he is not coming to us suggests to me that Coleman isn't going anywhere either which is no bad thing.

I'm gutted West ham are a joke flogged him some tosh about the new stadium and 1st team football but he'll be on the bench soon enough.

Agree1 Disagree1

18 Jan 2016 21:42:20
No doubt he would of been a good addition! But let's be realistic Coleman is our number 1 right back, how much playing time would he get? Don't think he'd to happy being a bit part player when he could probably go straight into another teams starting 11.

18 Jan 2016 22:37:08
ye I agree shame.

18 Jan 2016 23:24:22
Look at it this way, great potential but if he is not up for a fight for his position then is he the right sort of player for Everton?
Where's the fight the spirit!

If Naismith does go I would like to thank him for his endevours on the pitch and off it, wish all the high rollers would take a leaf out of his book, a credit to himself and our great club, good profit perhaps but our loss is Norwichs' gain.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2016 19:28:02
Disappointing: (. In a year or two he would have been class alongside garbut browning and Galloway.

18 Jan 2016 18:19:25
West Ham are trying to hijack Everton deal for Byram. Player has agreed to speak to them before making his decision.

18 Jan 2016 18:17:34
And what time do players train howie, in the morning. So yes he trained with Leeds this morning and deal was complete this afternoon.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - apparently west ham have come in for him now HB..

18 Jan 2016 18:25:09
Not sure about that ed, could be just paper talk. Was told from a friend who has been pretty good down the years that it's been completed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it may have been agreed HB but there is nothing stopping low life clubs like west ham nicking our players before the final signature mate, their scouts must be in the boozer all day because the cant seem to scout their own players..

18 Jan 2016 18:59:02
For crying out loud! Do our fans really think that we're the only club to scout players? Byram - and pretty much every other player around the world - will have been regularly scouted (to one degree or another) by every premier league club and/ or touted by agents, etc. All that appears to have happened with Byram is that we've had an offer accepted and other clubs (specifically West Ham) are putting in their own competing offer. In the transfer market that's surely how business works! The idea that other clubs wait to see who we've looked at before learning about certain players is utterly preposterous.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2016 13:37:51
Ed has do u know if Byram has agreed personal terms with us one newspaper reported we have only entered into discussing personal terms today and u know if there is any truth to what muff has posted.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am not in a position to give you any updates on an hour-by-hour basis. Sorry.}

18 Jan 2016 13:52:57
I personally think its west Yorkshire press giving leeds fans some hope and deal will be done today duke75.

18 Jan 2016 16:57:41
On ssn transfer centre the merseyside reporter said that they had only just started negotiating terms today and he hasn't been booked in for a medical so doesn't seem its as far along as made out as some newspapers have made out.

18 Jan 2016 17:04:26

Apparently we have renewed our interest in will Hughes.

18 Jan 2016 15:23:37
he is overrated, not that good a player.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2016 16:44:37
Isn't he injured for the season as well. Must be better options for that sort of money.

{Ed002's Note - It would have to be for the summer.}

18 Jan 2016 09:49:55
Naisy having a medical at the Canaries.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Jan 2016 08:38:14
Apparently we are interested in Chelsea's Bertrand Traore on loan but are unwilling to pay his full wages £40k per week, also it is becoming difficult after the Stones saga.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

18 Jan 2016 12:02:12
I think the problem is that the club thinks they will want first refusal on stones if we sign Traore on loan we have already said we would meet his full salary so that isn't the problem.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2016 16:47:08
I don't understand this one. Surely we'd be better off bringing one of our own youngsters through if needed, unless there's an option to buy at end of loan but can't see Chelsea agreeing to that.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2016 08:21:10
Allegedly Leeds, Wednesday and Blackburn interested in taking McGeady on loan but he is holding out for a top flight club. Celtic have baulked at his wages.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jan 2016 08:44:55
He may get a top flight club Wak but someone stated he is on 65k a week, no way are the likes of Swansea/ Norwich etc going to pay that as that is the type of club he would be interesting, we could always let him go on a free as he would probably go then for half wages but can't see us doing that.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2016 09:40:30
What donkey offered him a contract of 65K a week. I honestly do not know who is the lead of transfers, takeover negotiations and Ground move but deary me!

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2016 10:13:38
Didn't he come on a free? hence higher wages.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2016 10:25:44
Think so Wak, that's why his wages were doubled.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2016 10:39:02

Eds,

Will Byram be announced today?

Also any news on the Yarmolenko saga? Will we make an offer when Naismith leaves?

Any other info on ins or outs?

Cheers.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hopefully the deal for sam will go through today KR barring any last minute hitches, yarmo is still very much in the balance though mate, we are still very keen but so are other big names who are likely to offer more lucrative terms, i cant see it being in this window anyway with the euro,s coming up as he will looking to impress with ukraine which could bump the price up. anyone leaving i would expect to happen nearer the end of the window..

18 Jan 2016 07:23:57
Any news on Riquelme or Vagner Love? .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - yes swan..riquelme is appearing in big brother and vagner love in strictly come dancing before joining us in the summer.. :)
