Romelu Lukaku. Does he look good so far? Yes. Can I support him anymore. No. When we see the total lack of effort and skill in the last third of the season I'm not sorry to see him go. Let's cash out and see what Ronnie and the scouting team can do for us for £50/ 60m.

Let's face it there are two issues with Lukaku. Either: 1. He is not as good as he thinks he is or 2. He wasn't trying. Or actually 3. Both! Either is not good so I say get rid, have trust in the new team and see what we can get.

I just feel there will not be a hearty welcome for him at Goodison next Season.

I agree with what you're saying to a point. If he were today and he showed the same kind of performances he put in before March, he'd be hailed the same he was. It'll be down to Koeman now to show him we have the same ambition he does.

Completely agree that we should take what we can get and get a replacement, but I really don't trust our scouting team. The same team that thought Kone was a good signing and Niasse was a viable heir to Rom.

if he had carried on his good form, then we would probably still b stuck with martinez as boss.

I agree with what u all have said but Rom made his mind up about going and i doubt nothing Ronnie will say will change his mind so I think we should defiantly get a top class replacement for rom in before we sell him to another team because it's a lot of goals we be missing and to find a quality replacement won't be easy because every other team looks for proven goalscorers as for are scouting staff martinez brought kone with him from Wigan not r scouts as for the scout that looked at niasse he has left club with martinez.

HI eds. it's on the net that everton are after Simone zaza from juventus and chatome from bordeuex. any truth or just paper rubbish.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - just speculation at this point fanatic, we are being linked with every man and his dog at the moment mate..

19 Jun 2016 08:37:31
Really haven't heard of simone zaza is he any good.

19 Jun 2016 11:32:55
Zaza is an excellent player with an eye for a goal. Was at sassuolo in the 14/ 15 season and performed well scoring plenty of goals. Got his move to Juve that summer and seen limited opportunities behind dybala, mandzukic and morata. When he did play, he did score goals and had an excellent goals per minute ratio I think.

Good signing if happens, would like Us to be more ambitous and throw in bids for the likes of Higuain, lacazette, Morata, Gameiro etc would we get them? Probs not. Is it worth a go? absolutely.

Not writing Rom off personally at this point either. Would still like another top class striker however.

Regardless of what price is placed on his head, the disrespect he has shown the club is what people are having a go at. If he kept his and his dadays and agents opinions of were he should be playing and spoke in private, a bit like how we did with Koeman then maybe it would be a different story. I for one can't see him being an Everton player next season and by going public the way he did to get the fans to turn against him is how he is anchoring his move away. And whatever price we set if it ain't met let him stew in the reserves. We need to stand our ground and not be forced into a sale of were he wants. PSG maybe, well that's a very competitive league he will be playing in won't it? He's choosing the easy way into Champions League footy going there. As I've said in an earlier post I would rather see the back of him then Stones.

18 Jun 2016 19:39:12
It doesn't really matter how many goals he gets it's him who wants the move says he wants champion league football with Chelsea or United? That's funny because he won't get it with either of them.

Totally agree bluegray87. The disrespect is awful. I just hope he gets loads of goals. Every goal his price will go up.

If he chooses to stay all well and good but the indications are he's going. Could of been more professional about it. Totally agree about Stones too. He may want away just as much as Lukaku but has the decency to keep it to himself.

If I had to choose who to keep, it would be Stones all day long. Defender like him comes along every blue moon. We need a striker with or without Lukaku. If he leaves I suspect two will be signed which would be good for competition.

Sorry guys i have 2 disagree. Granted he shouldn't be saying the stuff he's said. However in his defence he is still young and has ambitions to play at the top level, and if keoman can get rom to stay and channel that ambition in a better way ie performances on the pitch then he would become vital to our future. let's be honest after the last couple seasons he's probably become just as disillusioned as the rest of us. Even if he did go and for arguments sake we got 60+ mil could we attract a player with the goal return of rom? Possably but it would be difficult. I hope that rom ends up staying but not for the money or the fact nobody signs him but that he can be persuaded to want 2 stay.

People forget that stones put a transfer request in and when it was knocked back he got his head down and got on with the job. Even if Rom says he wants to go to this club or his dad what's to live in the south of France or his agent wants £5m for himself do want we did with stones say sorry rom/ dad/ agent you got x amount of years left we will keep you for let's say 1 more year at least shut your mouth and score goals.

Hi all,
I have a friend who likes to claim he's "in the know", but personally i take it very much with a pinch of salt. we all know people who claim they're connected but can't back it up. I mostly ignore all of his so called info, but he did say something that for once sounds feasible.

Apparently RoKo is looking for a replacement for Barry, with Barry set to take a lesser game playing role in the team. His age now, and amount of bookings does to me make sense for the manager to be considering options.

It got me thinking about who is actually available, will it be a defensive midfield enforcer or someone with a touch more class to make attacking play happen? I can't actually think of a player who would add much to us as a team, at least not one who would consider us anyway, as let's face it we're never going to be signing the Iniestas of the game.

Anybody heard something similar or who has realistic options of who we could convince to join? Thanks as always.

You don't have to be in the know to see that it's pretty obvious Gareth Barry's getting on. Wanyama, Strootman, Erdevisie players we haven't heard of.

Agree0 Disagree2

18 Jun 2016 18:30:13
Witsel far better player don't rate wanyama we need two good midfielders, keeper left sided winger and another striker two if Lukaka goes. My team ideally would be: Forster, Coleman, stones, mori, bainsey, delefoue, witsel, winjaldah, Brady, milik, Lukaka.

We already have a player who could fit that role Worcester. It is not cast in stone but this player could be better in the midfield were his defensive mistakes would not be as much of a problem as in central defense and his desire to drive forward could be an advantage.

Hi Ed, i was wondering if you could give us any knowledge you may have on Koeman as a coach? Like his relationship with players, training methods, whether he does actually take mayonnaise with his chips. Thanks in advance.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - im no expert hugo but from what i hear he is a strict disciplinarian who takes no nonsense from his players, he also prefers ketchup with his chips.. :)
