See our Woy has the same opinion as one I stated months ago. Stones and his style is much more suited to the Barry role and indeed Roy may well play Stones in that role for England.

Yes duncansmum I recall you saying that a long time ago. Was wandering who said it for awhile. It does appear to suit him. let's hope he lives up to it.
If Gibson leaves and Barry won't be involved next season as much Stones may well be playing there. I know there is still McCarthy, Besic and Cleverly but with injuries and suspension's etc it's good to have proper cover.

Good point. Hope he impresses there and hopefully he can fill that role at everton. sometimes friendlies allow for experiments wether he gets in ahead of woys favorites remains to be seen. Never know we may play him there tomorrow.

Stones is still a young lad and learning all the time, with all the hype surrounding him it has put him under the spotlight and open to too much criticism, he will continue to learn and develop, we need to have patience with him, and let him become the top defender I'm sure he's destined to become.

Yep agree. chelsea rumours and hype ruined his season. plus fans getting on his back,12 months ago they were saying he was the future. same happens with barkley, funes moris form has dropped recently with talk about him moving on, media just love to spread rumours to help others.

Maybe. Were the millwall of the north. No one likes us but we don't care. The media unsettle a lot of players at all clubs.
