Was just after your insights on the following players and whether you think they will move on and if so, where.

Sigurdsson

Defoe

Pickford

And to the readers. Would you be happy if we got Defoe on the cheap this summer?

{Ed002's Note - (a) Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson made it clear he had no interest in the overtures of the likes of West Ham or Everton who were tentatively linked with the player in January 2017 but Everton will however try to put a package together to tempt the player in the summer but it will depend on offers he gets from elsewhere, whether he decides to leave and what happens with Ross Barkley. I would also expect that he will emerge as a target for Inter Milan in the summer. I would also suspect you may also see interest from Roma as they have lost out on Tielemans and, perhaps surprisingly, there may be interest from old club Spurs. Interest of Newcastle remains. (b) I suspect Defoe will opt for Bournemouth but he will likely have an option with West Ham as well. (c) Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and West Ham have looked at Jordan Pickford and I suspect Everton will make an offer - but the asking price will be high.}

Sigurdsson yes if we can get him.
Defoe is a no for me would just be a stop gap for 1 or 2 seasons tops
Pickford I am still unsure on and I feel we could look at better options

How come you wouldn't want Defoe on a free for a couple of seasons Southern Toffee?

Do you not see him as a better option (even if off the bench) than Kone/ Valencia/ Mirallas etc?

Agree with you on Pickford, but haven't watched enough of him. He is young, english and passionate though, which ticks a few boxes for me.

What do people think of Son from Spurs as a replacement for Rom if he goes? Doubt he'd leave a CL club that has improved year on year, but I for one would be delighted to have him up top.

Defoe would be a cracking gap filler for a couple of seasons, what do you want for a freebie 10 years. He would be a great squad player, especially in Europe, what's not to like about Defoe for a couple of seasons.

No not Defoe, to old his legs could be gone by next August, please we have to become a future thinking club.

Iheanacho, Abraham, Sigurdsson, Keane, Butland or Pickford. We could "theoretically" get those for the sale price of Lukaku and Barkley without spending a penny of the clubs money. Then spend £60-£70m on a further three players. That's two out and eight in for an outlay of £70m or maybe less (don't forget the sales of Geri and Niasse and McGeady) . I take over next week.

Is Defoe available on a free then? Even if he is there would be signing bonus and wages just feel there are better options out there to move us forward but he would be better than some of the current options but then the likes of Kone will be gone.
