We're holding final talks with an English striker tonight, not sure who, but deal is apparently imminent. Doubt it will be finalised tonight though.
Murf

Believable6 Unbelievable17

Owen I presume.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth would we be looking at Owen or another striker at that? After signing Naismith and now Mirallas along with Jelavic we look fkin awesome, we have Vic to fall back on if needed, he still can do a job. COYB! Spank the mancs! Fin

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as its not that clown Heskey!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Owen. Good, bad or ugly? You decide

Agree0 Disagree0

No need Owen!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its gonna be owen

Agree0 Disagree0

Michael owen

Agree0 Disagree0

THINK OWENS TO INJURY PRONE

Agree1 Disagree0

Its andy carroll swap deal with big vic

Agree0 Disagree0

Posted this a while ago..was just a rumour going round. Regarding Owen though, I've read a lot about it being a two-horse race between us and Stoke and that he prefers a move to us but Stoke are offering him more wages...I guess we'll see how greedy he actually is then!..

Come on ed shed a bit of light on this micheal Owen rumour has he signed or about to
COYB {Ed025's Note - there are a lot of people saying he will....i still cant see it myself..

Believable10 Unbelievable9

Can't see it either, he would be worse off here then most as he would be behind Jelly, Mirallas and even Naismith. I don't know blues, rant over Goldeneye is on!

Agree0 Disagree0

He is okay for cover for the ice man we only got one striker. Naismith and mirallas are not out an out strikers. Owen when fit will stick the ball in the net.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2012 22:19:15
everton have no interest in Owen

Believable23 Unbelievable8

I don't think so either, but you seem so sure, how do you know?

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes has stated he has no interest in owen

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Aug 2012 21:55:33
Anyone seen Owens interview on sky? I recon he will sign for us... I'd support him if he did like I would any player. Huytonblue

Believable4 Unbelievable20

Saw the interview he basically stated that he wanted to play every week so I cant see him joining as he would be playing second fiddle to jelly

Agree1 Disagree1

19 Aug 2012 21:46:14
just seen on twitter that michael owen is due to have medical tomorrow before signing for us
toffeemel

Believable6 Unbelievable20

He'll fail that

Agree1 Disagree0

That's the last thing Owen wants. Even a vet would suggest he was put down.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2012 21:39:52
Owen, Niang and Johnson (On loan) to sign before the window closes

Believable20 Unbelievable21

19 Aug 2012 21:26:32
Just on wikipedia it now states that :-

"......ending a message with YNWA, should be likened to the other acronym - lol...." {Ed025's Note - i like that..

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Just checked and its true. Its also on the Oxford English Dictionarys' site.

Owen to sign by tomorrow season deal pay as you play with goal bonus, worth a gamble and adds to our small squad. Lets not kick off and get behind him and the team excited for this season ! ! ! an if ya know ya history

Sparky, Ditton

Believable5 Unbelievable20

I'd love him to sign to wind up the rs. Just imagine he scores the winner at the derby and kisses his badge... He would be a hero then!

Agree0 Disagree0

Iknow me history he played for liverpool for years and turned us down twice

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly :-) he's worth a gamble just for that alone !

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2012 20:31:28
Sky bet has slashed Owen to 1/8 to join Everton... Think he's gonna say tonight to say he's joining us.. I really don't think it will do us any harm at all..

Believable9 Unbelievable16

Don't read to much into this wasn't Heskey 2/8 to join us a few days ago? Stefc

Agree1 Disagree1

Owen has some bad habits he will destroy any team ethic

Agree0 Disagree1

Gtf. honestly some people.

We are signing Michael Owen on a one year deal and Niang on a four year deal. Heard it here first. (Excuse the cliché.)

Murf

Believable6 Unbelievable19

Owen wouldnt make the reserves ...Behave

Agree1 Disagree0

Murf you seem reliable but i find this hard to believe.
Joe EFC

Agree1 Disagree1

We could sign Titus Bramble and Joey Barton for all I care now.... I'm so happy we have Mirallas
Dave M {Ed025's Note - steady on dave..

Agree1 Disagree1

We don't need Owen so can't see that happening. Wouldn't mind niang tho good young prospect.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's come from a guy who's called a lot of the other transfers before they happened..I wasn't 100% on it tbh but he the guy does seem quite reliable so I thought I'd it onto here.

Murf

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he maybe right! strong rumours on the web he will be! football agent this is 100% confirmed! guess we will have to wait for official confirmation!

Agree1 Disagree1

It wasn't heard here first...

Agree1 Disagree0

Was that you who said about the mirallas dael before it happened on friday night?

Agree1 Disagree0

This pre-season has been so good compared to the usual lack of activity! If Moysey wants Owen then I am more than happy to get behind him, you know he is guaranteed to get the winner against the reds just to rub it in :-) i have gradually been adding any change to bets on everton top 6 and even on top 4 now as an outside bet. even my Dreamteam has 6 Everton players!! I am excited.....does it show?

Agree1 Disagree0

Nope, heard it from a stupid fake agent on Twitter, just like you, guarantee it won't happen, put my house on it

Agree1 Disagree0

Someone seems to know something here before it happens how do they know that they was right about mirallas if they right about owen and niang i would take my hat off to them

Agree0 Disagree0

The computer says NO

Agree0 Disagree0

10th Poster... Where do you live?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a guess but I'd say he lived in a house or maybe a bungalow

Agree0 Disagree0

It's from Agent NCP on twitter, load of bollox....

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright, you may not have heard it here first but I've always wanted to say that..can't you give me this one? Haha But anyway, I'm as sceptical as the rest of you but I reckon this is a decent shout, just sharin a credible rumour that I've heard..don't shoot the messenger!

Murf {Ed025's Note - fair play murf..

Buttner looks a shoe in according to him, Man utd want him and a £3m deals looks likely to be completed tomorrow. So looks like we're keeping Baines. Sky sports news

Believable21 Unbelievable1

19 Aug 2012 19:41:54
Reports from N'lands Man Utd have agreed terms with Vitesse left back Alexander Buttnerif that's the case we get to keep Baines , happy blue

Believable20 Unbelievable2

We were getting to keep Baines anyway as he's not for sale.

no johnson for city today hmmmmmm!

Believable24 Unbelievable2

Yes he is off to sunderland

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wants to take a step down and go to a joke club like sunderland then it says all you need to know about the lad.

Glen the blue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not now needed, where would we play him now Mirallas has signed

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Glen! Sunderland are not going to challenge for anything they just exist in the premier league!they're just to make up the numbers

Agree0 Disagree0

Im confussed why would he want to go to sunderland for?we are likely to be playing european football next season than them.seriously i cant see him going there

Agree0 Disagree0

He suports sunderland!.. and obviosly his family are there, believe he took a large paycut to go there, but this move doe,s lack ambition! especialy if he had a chance to come here!.............jmff

Agree0 Disagree0

He has not yet signed for Sunderland they are supposedly, only considering making a bid. If there are no bids to cities liking and he is still available when City sign Scott Sinclair he will become available on loan. Then you will see what ambition he has.

Agree1 Disagree0

Rumour is johnson is joining toffee's as sweetener
of rodwell deal

Agree1 Disagree1

19 Aug 2012 18:07:55
Man United are signing a Left back. Result.... Buettner or something

Believable17 Unbelievable0

Sir purple nose has said he's after one more player if that player becomes available and Kaka is 1/2 with the bookies to join the mancs . Make of that what you will. It's on sky text

Agree1 Disagree0

KAK KA is exactly what he is, overated and the premi is too tough for him. Jose doent let good players go

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2012 17:54:16
I think we're going to miss out on Johnson boys. Looks like he Sunderland bound. Not on bench for city. Mad john

Believable10 Unbelievable13

19 Aug 2012 16:57:25
Youve gotta love how moyes does business compared to are lovely red neighbours... We get Naismith for free and mirallas for 6 million. They spend 25 million on allen and borini. surely moyes has already shown he's a class above rodgers in the managerial department!

Believable28 Unbelievable6

Who is the one who has said unbelievable. Your either a blue who hasn't got a clue or your a rs who shouldnt even be on here so do one whoever you are. Mad John.

Agree0 Disagree1

WTF Mad John?
Don't get it mate?

Gods Doctor

Agree0 Disagree0

Unquestionably the best pound for pound manager in premier league history. Net spending £1.2m a season over 10 yrs and consistently in the top 6/7 for 10 yrs. David Moyes I salute you

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm excited as anybody about Mirallas but its much too early to guage the value.
Eggs

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not just the big fees, its the long contracts. Let Brenda keep on spending millions on unproven players. New manager comes in and wants another 100 mill to spend on his own team. Moyes working miracles.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2012 16:38:32
just said on sky sports one where man city playing southampton theses a good chance adam johnson coming to everton

Believable21 Unbelievable5

Adam johnson fee agreed for 15m going to sunderland

Agree1 Disagree0

How can he go to a small club like that and if its true city have broken they promise to us by saying we have first choice on him

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh did said a lot of talk around about him going out on loan to everton

Agree0 Disagree0

Martin Tyler definitely commented that it was good to see Everton and Manchester City doing business (over Rodwell) and there could be more with Johnson moving to Goodison. It made me sit up and take notice, but where would we get the dosh from.
Eggs

Agree1 Disagree0

It wouldnt surprise me one bit if city went back on there word, thats what do

Agree1 Disagree0

Little bit confused where have any of you heard that johnson was part of the deal for rodwell? Why is everyone getting their hopes up on hearsay? And before anyone says anythin no I'm not a Liverpool supporter I am a blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton might not be able to afford his wages? {Ed025's Note - that is a very big possibility..

Agree1 Disagree0

How can sunderland afford his wages then if everton cant shouldnt allways come down to wages

Agree1 Disagree0

Be wrong if city break they promise to everton on johnson surely if city wants johnson to move all together why cant they take 5 million and later on we pay the rest back to them for him

Agree0 Disagree1

Has anyone tought the moyes might not want johnson?

Agree1 Disagree0

I've been thinking the same thing (about not wanting him). Logic dictates that the move would've been done when the Rodwell deal was on the table. Then again this is football and as they say it's a funny old game

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2012 16:21:20
I see liverpool are trying to hijack sunderlands move for johnson i guess we are not interested in him then

Andy

Believable4 Unbelievable19

So if other teams are interested in a player
That means we're not, if that was true we would never sign anyone!

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt we are interested. They're talking about paying lots of money for him (permanent transfer trumps loan deal) while we just signed Mirallas for most of our spending money. Might have enough left to sign 1 more and a coulpe of loans though.
Andy.

Agree1 Disagree0

You may be right, but remember city don't
Need the money and they may prefer to loan him out and keep hold of him for the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mirallas to be joined by fellow Belgian christian benteke from genk 21 year old striker

Believable17 Unbelievable20

Now that would just be the icing on the cake... shame its not gonna happen tho.

b.t.a.p

Agree0 Disagree0

What number is He

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt Moyes would be in for another striker just now. especially with the need for a RM and CB/RB as a higher priority.

Agree0 Disagree1

Wolves, wigan, blackburn, and bolton are all showing an interest in victor. If he goes, another striker is on the cards.

Agree0 Disagree1

He's number 11 mate

Agree1 Disagree1

Naahh he only signed for genk last year I remember we were looking at him for a while when he was at liege but cant see it happening..

Agree0 Disagree0

Not official yet, but its obvious Kevin Mirallas is an Everton player, his agent stated this on a website gazzetta.gr.

Believable15 Unbelievable3

Fantastic the lad looks amazin best window ever

Agree1 Disagree0

Great, but hopefully not at the expense of any of the current squad, ie baines

Agree1 Disagree1

Your Greeks well better than mine, couldn't figure nothing out. Hope so. Top four for us if he's in. He looks like nothing we've had for twenty years. The new Peter Beagrie!!

And you wonder why you(everton) are called the bitters! sad sad fans {Ed025's Note - you reap what you sow my friend..

Agree1 Disagree1

We don't wonder why we are called the bitters, that is just more supercilious crap from kopites. That said, I hate this kind of crowing, it always comes back to bite us.

Don't worry about Baines. He's staying. The bid United are preparing is for Huddlestone, known for a week or so. Heard it here first..

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Why on earth would utd bid on an overweight, injury prone midfielder instead of baines? I reckon its RS

Agree0 Disagree0

On Sunday Supplement, journo saying Baines going after Utd game, hope not

Agree1 Disagree1

I have a horrible feeling he might go, and we'll get Hernandez or Berbatov on loan for a season. Hope I'm wrong cos DM has said we don't need to sell but never say never

Agree1 Disagree1

I know for a fact united are looking at Huddlestone.

ADAM EFC
