Gazzetta dello sport saying he going on loan with a view to 15m deal at the end of season. That would be a nice profit for a player who doesn't seem to be in rk's plans

{Ed002's Note - (a) Yes, Sunderland. (b) Everton are keen on Sunderland's Kone - but so are others. (c) Not that I am aware.}

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anyone looking for a pre-contract - but it would not inlve Everton if they were, so I can't really help.}

I haven't posted in here for a while. Mainly because i'm enjoying the ride. We are definitely improving both on and of the pitch and for the 1st time in a long time i'm so relaxed during a transfer window.

Just wanted to ask the eds if we still have any interest in ghazzel, brahimi or dolberg. Personally i think any1 of them would be a quality signing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - (a) Rachid Ghezzal most certainly remains of interest with Atletico and a couple of other sodes looking for a pre-contract. Lyon has offered a new deal but they think he will wait on any other offers that might be coming for the summer - perhaps something firm from an Arsenal is in his mind. (b) Brahimi was priced out of a move in the Summer and only Nice have asked recently about him. Again, I suspect he is waiting for an acceptable bid from an English Champions League side or one of a handful of Champions League sides from other countries - probably won't be available this month. (c) Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have a declared interest in Ajax's Kasper Dolberg who has also been watched by Manchester United, Rangers, Everton, Sunderland and others. The issue is that it would be too bigger jump to the first team (and perhaps even the first team squad) of the likes of the Manchester clubs or Chelsea so he should bide his time until he is ready, or make a smaller managable step up - and that could potentially go horribly wrong.}

News from Goodison Park now and Everton boss Ronald Koeman, who says: "The relationship with (former Leicester head of recruitment) Steve Walsh is good. We talk daily about players and about scouting.

"I hope for more players coming in. We are working hard to make the team stronger. But we are looking for quality, not just numbers. " BBC sportsnews

Its saying we are in talks for kessie but a price as not been agreed yet and he wonts the move you heard anything on this ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There are no talks going on right now and both Juventus & Chelsea were given a price that is very, very high and were told he won't be leaving before the summer.}

If as looks like we are building a young exciting side then as some in the football media say players such delofeu (spelling) should be kept on or if no room at the moment temporary loans. Personally I would hold onto McArthy as well, this is more and more a Squad game and we need an engine room and players in reserve that can come in and replenish it.

I agree MEverton. Only problem is would Deulofeu and McCarthy be happy enough to be squad players? Or rather be with a club that they get more games?

{Ed002's Note - Deulofeu will move to Italy once Barcelona confirm that they have no interest in buying him back.}

Thank you Ed002. Was thinking something like that was holding it up.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The second issue concerns whether Everton would be open to a loan to buy - and I suspect they will be OK with that. But the main driver is Barcelona.}

19 Jan 2017 16:48:56
I have no issue with Del going but I hope JM stays. Although JM would not get in the first 11, I think, he would start a lot of games due to the rotation of the team when we play more games.

He is a very good player with many assists and a good goal ratio. He is well built and strong but also with a powerful shot. Many of his goals are from outside the box. He is the link I have been saying we need. He works his socks off and Lukaku and Mirallas would have so much joy with him in and around them. The only problem is that Southampton and Swansea are alsolinked with him according to the reports. I would see him replacing the position that Valencia plays. He would certainly create more than Valencia and although the Premier League is tougher, I still think he has the ability to produce if we buy him. I hope the rumours are true. I would say Cahill with more ability if that interests anyone?
