We must be flying in our prospective signings via the Bermuda Triangle, since none of them seem to actually arrive ;-)

It is obvious Lukaku is our number one target and fingers crossed we get him. If we don't who will be our other choices. If LFC are signing remy we have a better chance of signing bony. Other possible strikers Torres, welbeck?

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Welbeck! Welbeck! Welbeck!!!!!

strong rumours linking barkley with man city hope its not true

Agree0 Disagree6

Not Welbeck . You agree ed?

{Ed025's Note - deffo mac mate..

19 Jul 2014 21:00:00
Both couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat, wouldn't pay 3p and a packet of transform a snack for both of them, i'd like bony and with each day that passes, the more I want lukaku but welbeck and torres couldn't get into double figures if you put them one on one 300 times each in a season, other options? Heskey and bring brett angel out of retirement, both would do a better job than welbeck and torres

Agree0 Disagree0

Please not Welbeck or Torres. Although the thought of Torres rediscovering his form (unlikely as that is) at Everton and scoring the winner in the derby has enough merit that perhaps we should give him a chance if he's on a free? OK, no, not even on a free. I'm gutted at news of Remy going to the RS for 8.5m. He scores goals and is surely worth more than that? I couldn't bear them to sell Borini, get Remy and have 5m left over. If they do, what about Origi who looked class at the World Cup? Jay Rodriguez? Is Benteke fit yet?

ssn now reporting that lukaku has said he wants to stay and fight for his place at chelsea. With chelsea having signed costa and apparently in talks to bring drogba back I can't see him getting regular first team football.Could possibly be a load of bull, but imo he either wants to sign for us or he doesn't simple as that, a yes or a no. we can then move on to other targets instead of hanging around waiting for him to make his mind up like some spoilt kid. Also reported we are interested in Atsu who was out on loan from chelsea last season to who I can't remember.

Believable12 Unbelievable3

I want this kid bad but if he is saying this publicly then get shut now

Agree2 Disagree0

Jimmy c vitesse arnhem chelsea feeder club

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldnt agree more jimmy c he either wants to play for us or not simple as that

Agree1 Disagree0

Swedish papers don't report rumours just stories. Nothing about Lukaku signing for us other than a dailymail quote which was put in their silly season section.
Would want him at the right price but just can't see it happening at all.
Look at the World Cup, there is a serious shortage of strikers in world football. He is potentially one of the best, not there yet granted, however it would be our biggest coup ever so sadly just can't see it

ssn are just as bad mate, remember 2 seasons ago they said jack butland signed? They rang the birmingham manager up to get his reaction and he said we never even had interest, or remember diame getting his release clause activated? They didn't know the club that did it, why? Because it didn't happen, they are full of it mate

Agree0 Disagree0

As I said swan it could be a load of bull mate. But all this will he won't he sign is starting to do my head in.

Me too jimmy c. Time to move on

lukaku wants fight for place at chelsea on skypad on ssn everton linked with christain atsu on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new there.}

Just read there is prob with his E.U status, something to do with giving up his German citizenship however don't know the full facts, but if he does the article I have just read states he won't be able to sign for us until September.

Agree0 Disagree0

Updates on Besic?
Yeah - I bet he won't be in the lineup for our pre-season friendly at Tranmere on Tuesday.

Any update on Lukaku or was Dominic King leading us up the garden path, what about Juventus are they out of the running now, it's not saying anything on ssn about Lukaku to us surely if the deal is close they would have picked up on it, maybe just calm before the storm.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Juventus has spoken with Chelsea yesterday but have yet to make an offer.}

19 Jul 2014 12:40:33
juve have also offered drogba a 2 yr deal, on ssn now

hopefully that leaves only us as buyers for lukaku

Agree1 Disagree0

Morata from madrid landed in turin yestrrday to take medical so I think there intrest in lukau has finished

Agree1 Disagree0

Martinez is looking likely to land Lukaku and possibly in the next 48 hours. I know there have been numerous 48 hour periods mentioned but as far as I am concerned I will be more than happy if it is true.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fingers crossed. he is a class act

Agree1 Disagree0

Thanks ed but do you have info on Evertons dealings with Lukaku? Fee agreed with Chelsea, terms reached with him or anything?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Everton has not made any offer to Chelsea and I doubt they would be stupid enough to tap the player up. Everton would need to either include Ross Barkley in a deal or find a significant amount of cash for any deal to happen. Chelsea will not want to sell him cheaply despite wanting him moved on.}

They would have to offer cash and rom for ross

Agree1 Disagree0

The journo who published the story is surely being fed info by the agent (and maybe the player) and also by the clubs as they all "dance" around the negotiating table. I've little doubt that Chelsea want big money and/or first dibs on the likes of Barkley or Stones. I've also no doubt that Everton haven't got the money (at least up front) and don't want to involve players (even on a "first dibs" basis) in any deal. BK might have a good relationship with the Chelsea people, but business is business and we clearly haven't got close to tempting them to let Lukaku go (either permanently or on loan again) - and that's even if he actually wants to come back to us!
Besides, just because the original story has been repeated throughout the media, that doesn't make the story any more valid - it's still just a rumour imho. There are very few stories that come from several different (let alone independent verifiable) sources - most stories/rumours (especially those on websites or in social media) seem to be repetitions of one original story.

With lvg looking at the united squad is there any interest in cleverley also have u heard on rumours of any wingers martinez is interested in heard he rates mathew kennedy thanks for any info

Believable4 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - apparently bobby really rates cleverley BB, got to say im not a fan though, adama traore from barca is heavily linked and would be a fine replacement for del boy..

I noticed Ryan Ledson on the bench the end of last season. Maybe he impressed RM and he could be the in his plans this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you look at which youngsters were pre-season training with the senior squad in Austria, I think you'll get an idea of which players are considered readier than the rest. Likewise, if you see which U-18 players play in the U-21 pre-season friendlies, you'll also get an idea about who might be making progress.
One thing to note is that the first team requires players who are physically (and not just technically) ready, which is why the likes of Barkley - and Rooney in the past - we're able to step up so young. Most of the U-18s (scholars) and even some of the U-21s (new pros) are still maturing physically and need to be developed carefully. That's why imho loans at lower-tier clubs are right for them at some stage.

Guys, I wouldn't write this if I wasn't sure (as I know I would get terrorised if I was wrong.
Lukaku is 100% an Everton player. Deal all done. £18m, and 80k per week.
Things are looking up!

Bold statement. At least you know what will happen if it's not true.

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 00:42:54
I don't believe the mail one bit, if anything, the fact they are saying this makes me think he will be at a club abroad in the next 48 hours, 80k a week is a lot for us, I certainly hope we break our transfer record this summer, in still not convinced on lukaku, we will see

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 00:57:26
i think that 18m is a lot less than I expect chelsea to accept, and 80k a week is a lot more than I expect everton to offer. I'd love to sign him for 18m and than paying him 50-60k a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would expect maybe 18m but I'm sure there would b add ons if that is the price 80k a week is fair I'm not certain of this but I thought there was players here on 60 70k already plus if we are to start buying these type of players we need to b payin these types of wages to compete with the other clubs massive signing for us if true going to b an exciting season for us all

Agree2 Disagree0

OP is correct. Everton Aren't We on Twitter said this well before The Mail, and the writer of the article has been clarified as being very well in on the info regarding Everton by an Echo reporter.

Obviously, people can doubt all they want until it's official, but I'm nigh on certain hell sign now. Not sure about the 48hour thing though, 'cause knowing Everton 48hours is often 48days.

Anyway, be happy guys!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it not announced then? If he had signed it would be announced. I hope to god you 're right mate but I just don't see how he can of signed and the clubs not announced it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because they're still in Austria PB2. When they unveil they'll want Bobby there with him, so when they get back it'll surely be announced then.

Agree1 Disagree0

Not having it Keith, if he had signed it would be all over the OS simple as that. I still call bullshit on this.

Agree0 Disagree1

19 Jul 2014 13:07:23
Paul said it was a done deal, not that he'd signed.
I believe we will get him this weekend and for less than the 18m being bandied around. The bookies all make us favourites to sign him and they don't often get it wrong.

Agree1 Disagree0

Trust me guys, I wouldn't have posted if I wasn't sure. I'd be the first to terror someone if they were wrong lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 17:07:16
Why do I believe you now?

Agree0 Disagree0

We are getting him, good inside info jus received

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like you've been took for a mug Paul ssn reporting he's ready to fight for his place at Chelsea. I did post about this afew days ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 21:10:31
Tbf matt mate, ssn are not exactly right all the time, I've already mentioned the bs they put about butland and diame, they rode the mccarthy to man u story hoping something would happen, it didnt, just because they have a whole 24hr channel dedicated to them doesn't make them right, just because they get 2 diprubbish presenters who can't tell their arse from their elbow to speak in front of a camera with their agent 47 suits and their tit showing dresses don't make them fortune tellers, ssn are telling me this show is a load of rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree with you swan..

I wrote a massive post out about this before but it never got posted, any reason Ed? Not reply to this a nee one. Tbh, I'm with Swan about ssn but this Lukaku rumour smelt of a rat from the beginning. I'm not saying Pauls kidding us but nothing sits right with it. For a start 18 mil is nowhere near enough Chelsea will want well more, the sources are the worst 2 that could be. Twitter and the Mail and if Ed002 is on the level he has already said Everton have NOT made a bid and o keefe said today it would be very difficult for Everton to pull a deal of given the current situation (this was at 11am this morn so after the rumours last night) it's all rubbish and that fool on "everton aren't we" is looking like a proper idiot now after his outburst last night. It's not happening let's just get over it and move on. He's even changed his twitter to "chelsea player" the club should do the decent thing and quosh all this rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it may have been deleted by another ed because of the choice language pb2..its frowned upon mate..

Ah right, fair enough I'll cut that out now, I'm always careful not to use words like f and t etc but sometimes a**e s**t b******s and stuff get posted so I use them i'll refrain in future no problem. What's your personal gut feeling mate, there must be something coming out of the club, the whole rumour etc just feels wrong to me, nothing sits right and if your ed002 is genuine in what he says he can't be any clearer when he said Everton have NOT made a bid. If he knows this for a fact then it's finished there is no question the rumours over the last 24hours are nonsense. What's your feelings ed025.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no one has contacts at chelsea like ED002 pb, so if he says no bid has been made..you can take it as red, for me lukaku and his agent are playing hard ball, they want the best possible deal, which i suppose is fair, but chelsea want ross and are trying to use romelu as a bargaining tool...if i was bill, i would call their bluff and declare that we have no interest in him..but thats just me mate..

Thanks for the honesty ed, I have always found you to be honest and forthcoming more so I think because you're one of us so if you say that ed002 is right on the ball with Chelsea stuff then I believe you. Ed002 likes to talk in riddles a lot and leaves stuff open ended and open to interpretation quite often but he cannot be any clearer when he says EVERTON HAVE NOT MADE A BID FOR LUKAKU. That ends any hope or lingering chance that any of this "he has signed" is true doesn't it. Fact is he hasn't signed nor has any deal been done (as of yet)

Agree0 Disagree0

According to a good source mouriniho is keeping LUKAKU

A newspaper says that Lukaku could be an Everton player in the next 48 hours he is known to have strong links with Kenwright so I guess we will know soon enough either way.

He's signed. apparently
