salamon kalou being linked with everton and will most likely be playing in the role of ST if the move goes through.

I hope not and i rather have defoe

Agree0 Disagree0

If there is any truth in this, I wonder if Barkley will be part of the deal? I hope not. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant afford the fee and cant afford the wages. Simple as that really.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless there is something going on at the club we don't know about?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well his contract expires in the summer. So could get him on a free, but he would be on 60k+ wages easily. I heard Arsenal are interested too and that's the logical choice for him. Wouldn't have to move out of London and I think he'd make the Arsenal first team as I really rate the guy, hardly fails to score against us!

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are struggling for goals, why go for someone that needs 10 attempts to score.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Well for Feyenoord his scoring record was more than a goal every two games. Sure with regular football he could rediscover that kind of form. The majority of his games for Chelsea have been coming on as a sub, so his goal ratio is naturally going to be lower.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because taking 10 attempts to score is better than taking 20 which is what our current strikers rate probably is. I quite like him but we have zero chance of signing him. Cheeks

Not a rumour but what does everyone think of the possibility of gettin gyan from sunderland if we have any cash at all. I know he upset the apple cart up there but the lads got bags of ability and could be exactly wot we need once he's bin brought round to the everton way of thinkin. Coyb! {Ed025's Note - he is an attacking player...our way of thinking has nothing to do with that!..

Believable5 Unbelievable25

Positive as ever I see ed! I do think efc could turn him in to a man and a house hold name instead of the money grabbin pre-madonna he is {Ed025's Note - i am positive!!....im positive you cant change people like him..

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll be glad to let you have the little s**t for £13M at the end of the season coz he ain't playing for us again.

Agree0 Disagree0

We may be able to afford 13 quid if thatl do? {Ed025's Note - that is far too much to pay!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's see, he abandoned the club who spent £13m for him to go to a crappy football backwater in the desert, there just can't be any footballing reason to do that. He's a greedy mercenary and I never want to see him in an Everton shirt. Ever.

Agree0 Disagree0

How on earth can be a ''greedy mercenary'' ..... hes giving half his wages to charity !

I know this doesn't seem like relatively relevant news but I thought it would be handy to let people know on this forum.

Don't want to go into great detail about how this happened but basically the former editor of 'News Of The World' Ian Edmondson is currently staying here in my girlfriends house for the weekend. He is here for a family party as a guest of one of the family members but anyway thats besides the point.

Last night when he arrived I was talking to him about the football game today as he is going himself and I got into a brief conversation with him about Bill Kenwright, his morales and his mixed reviews from our beloved Everton fans. I wasn't that surprised when Ian told me he was a good friend of Bill Kenwright and he gave me some quite positive news. I'm not saying this is concrete evidence but I think it sheds some negativity on the subject of our board's motives regarding a takeover.

His specific words when i spoke about Kenwright were "Bill's a good man doing what's best for the club, if he could sell tomorrow he definitely would". Think what you like of these comments but considering Ian is a close friend of Kenwright I believe he's speaking the truth in saying Kenwright is doing all he can to take the club forward.

I hope it puts a smile on the fans faces reading this comment and takes positivity into today's game as I will be there myself supporting our beloved blues from the Park End. COYB!

News of the World? Didn't they tap a murdered girl's phone? Nice. You sound like someone who's thrilled by the Next Boxing Day sale, the WKD adverts and laughs at James Corden's 'antics'.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is hardly breaking news is it. Merely confirms what we already know...

Agree0 Disagree0

I think every Everton fans, even the Blue Union fans think BK is genuine when he says he wants to sell the club, BK does want what is best for the club, and a takeover takes time, yes, we would like a new owner right now, but unfortunately does not work like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Write that yourself did you Bill ? lol...

Agree0 Disagree0

Does this Ian fella know that you were posting details of your conversation on a fans site? Can't imagine he'd probably be that arsed if he worked for the Rag of World....he's probably hacked into your computer anyway. Don't mean to sound sarcastic but how can you hope to put a smile on our faces when you tell us the BK is knocking about with vermin. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

How about laying off ToffeeBoyJack a bit. All he's done is tell us about what somebody who actually knows Bill said to him. It does sound a bit like he was just defending his mate and I doubt he would mind it being posted on here. It's not exactly insider information is it?

Also, I believe every single phone hacking allegation comes from a time when Ian Edmondson did not work for that paper. It was all while that ginger bird was in charge! {Ed001's Note - oh yes, it was always a paper of integrity before she appeared! The guy is not someone I would take any notice of, he ran a sleaze paper long before she took over.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I do apologise, I'll go straight out and buy a copy of the Sun, as I obviously need educating in the integrity of News International and it's staff. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

As I said previously, think what you like of this comment i'm only informing you on what he specifically said. I dont mean to upset or offend any people I just thought it was worth posting and allows everybody to have their views on it.

..And for what it's worth, Ian Edmonson is a really nice, down to earth fella.

ToffeeBoyJack. {Ed025's Note - thanks for your post jack, it certainly caused some debate mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

"a really nice, down to earth fella"... Typical nouveau riche Liverpudlian bell. Like a girl at a boy band concert over some odious, rat-faced Tory with the vague whiff of cash about him. Think (if that's possible) about what you're typing... The News of the World was The Sun in Sunday form.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that you Ian Ross.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh Dear Jack...If this character had been the mastermind behind the '' Children in Need'' campaign... Dixie Deans ( R.I.P. ) departed spirit or how about the Archangel Gabriel, then maybe just maybe we could feel a little more relaxed about BK selling our beloved club...
But nope instead we get a sleazy rag editor who would have sold his granny for a good story...So raised eyebrows to say the least !
