The Daily Mail have edited their page which earlier said we wanted Pranjic to say we dont want him! Confused :s
Joe EFC

Believable16 Unbelievable17

Its too easy to say we are interested, we already know we are, so they switch it and hope to gain more interest!

Just been on Radio City that Everton have made a bid of £6 million for Peter Whittingham.

Believable5 Unbelievable41

Buzzing, hopefully we've got: Whittingham (like you said), Naismith, Pranjic and Donovan. COYB

Pecko

Agree1 Disagree0

Behave 1m tops

Agree0 Disagree0

Nahhh!!..

Agree1 Disagree0

Can't see that happening due to us wanting Pienaar and Donovan would much rather have them two and I don't think Whittingham is good enough to start

Agree0 Disagree1

No chance if we had £6mill it would go on Pienaar....

Agree1 Disagree0

Hhaahaha Im sorry but hes worth nowhere near that, thats almost as bad as the 5m quoted for Baines a while back!

Agree0 Disagree0

Has anyone else heard it on city as I havnt

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd take him at 3m

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes an average championship player at best. No way is he worth even 2 million never mind 6. {Ed025's Note - its not happening..

Donovans put his house up for sale, and now Lampard is rumoured to be signing for Galaxy, American teams are only allowed 3 designated players (currently Donovan, Keane and Beckham). So to sign him they'd need to get rid of one. Could actually have legs this...
Toffeepidge

Believable23 Unbelievable10

That's if Bill hasn't spent his money from Corrie.

Pecko

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully we sign him before he gets too old but how much would he cost us to sign him permanently would a seaso loan and sign him at end of next season be a cheaper option if Baines or fellaini don't go and we don't hae the funds !

Agree0 Disagree0

Donovan isnt included as one of the three hes got something called a grandfathered contract which exempts him from that rule

ToffeeAL

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above comment. That's not true 2 or 3 seasons ago MLS said he wasn't Allowed to be "grandfathered" and must be counted as a DP

naismith is not at finch farm but deal should be done 2moz baines looks like he is the one big name to leave sad news that as 15-20m these days only gets you avg players thanks to man city but lets hope man city enter the race 4 baines get 30m then a true value for a class player only A cole better in world foote

Believable8 Unbelievable24

Sorry but A.Cole best in world I'll just finish laughing Lambh for Germany pisses all over him cole is quicker that is it

Agree1 Disagree1

Jordie Alba is better than the pair of them

Agree1 Disagree0

Think you can add jordi alba to that list as well as Lahm. Good shout mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jordi Alba, have you heard of him

Agree0 Disagree0

Never Ashley Cole in a million years. See Jordi Alba's goal last night against Italy that was pure determination. Lahm is just brilliant.

Pecko

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish eveyone would stop saying Baines is leaving !

Agree0 Disagree0

Lahm yeah but you only new about alba in last 4weeks so lets see if people are still talking about him in 2years time then you can say he is one the best lahm and cole have been great for last 8-10years

Everton are expected to tie up a deal for Croatia international Danijel Pranjic in the near future.

Pranjic, 31, is a free agent after leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season, and Everton boss David Moyes was present at the Euro 2012 clash between Croatia and Spain to watch him in action.

The Toffees had been close to tying up a deal in January but, amid reports left-back Leighton Baines could leave Goodison Park, it appears Moyes is reviving his bid to bring in the wing-back.

Just found this interview with danijel pranjic. Looks very promising Pranjic, on holiday with his family, told Sportske Novosti: "I am honoured that such a successful coach wants to sign me, and would be honoured to play for a club like Everton with such a rich history.

"We were very close to completing a deal in January, but then Bayern prevented it going through. I can't say that everything is finished, but next week I'm expecting some concrete developments."

Looks hopeful, getting excited...........

TC

Believable21 Unbelievable2

They have also asked Bayern about taking Anatoliy Tymoshchuk

Absolutely genuine,a friend was on a train from Glasgow yesterday going to see the Stone Roses,Naismith was sat on the train and informed him that he was on his way to sign for us. I don't make up stories to entertain!

Believable19 Unbelievable12

Hope so mate

ToffeeTony

Agree1 Disagree1

Thoroughly enjoyable made up story. I mean seriously, you wouldn't expect him to have at the very least his agent if he was coming to sign LOL.

Agree1 Disagree1

I work with Naismiths neighbour......he said naismith told him he was signing for everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 grand per week at Rangers, I would have to travel on the train too, then get the bus to finch Farm, dont think this is true myself.

Agree1 Disagree0

I believe you mate similiar thing happened to me today,i was catching the 14 bus from croxteth to breck road and sitting at the back of the bus was mario manduric telling everyone who would listen that hes signing for the blues

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally unbelievable. I can't see a pro footballer travelling from glasgow to Liverpool by train and why would he share confidential information with some random bloke on the train?

Agree1 Disagree1

Naismith drives a beemer not a train

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would he go down on the train?

Agree1 Disagree1

How do you know your friend didn't make it up though? I hardly think Naismith goes around telling people on trains where he is going

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea right, did he have to buy a super saver ticket as his wages had been cut by rangers!

Agree1 Disagree0

You cant get a train to liverpool from scotland b.s i reckon ed {Ed025's Note - you can if you change at preston mate..

Agree1 Disagree0

To be fair if i had a flash motor with nice wheels i'd go to liverpool by train...

Agree1 Disagree1

Why are yous avin a go lol it would be quicker to go by thain than car train takes about 6 hours train takes 2 to 3 hours so if hes coming for a medical he would use a train wouldnt he

Pranjic says hes honoured moyes and everton are interested in him, he says nothings completed but expects some more developments next week regarding a move...

Source ESPN.

Him naismith pienaar, and keep felli and baines... im sure all blues would be happy with this?

Believable22 Unbelievable1

Would be really happy with this signing, yes, he is 31 which isn't ideal, but could be an ideal squad player, I mean the man can play LB, LM, CM, CAM and CDM, positions that we could use with extra bodies. Would be a good signing on a free for 2 or so years.

If we manage to keep everyone and sign Pranjic, Pienaar and Naismith, and maybe a couple of loans as well, I would be extremely happy with that summer, fingers crossed!

Agree1 Disagree0

Pranjic is signing and Moyes as asked of the avilability of Anatoliy Tymoschuk. Hoping to sign both by next week.

The mirror is so messed up, yesterday it was 15mil that baines was going to united and now its 12mil? Add them together and yerh we would maybe listen! But for a paper to change its mind over night has reassured that baines isnt going!
On the other hand, Naismith is a definate purchase and will sign soon and the pienaar deal is all dependant on the greediness of tottenham, as in their position, why would they sell cheap to a team that rivals them in positions in the league, for a player who most certaintly changed us in the second half of the season.
Other thoughts on players is that yobo is a go go, and for one i cant wait and another rumour about wigan in for anichebe has already made my week!
Possibly another winger in?
Possibly another defender?
But all in all, naismith and pienaar in will be good business for a club with no pot to wee (minding the language there) in.

EBlue

Believable5 Unbelievable3

It's so easy to decipher The Mirror's rubbish: Baines says (from an old recycled interview) "Moyes always manages to get players and when they leave he usually gets twice what he payed".
We payed 6 million for Baines and strangely enough 6 + 6 equals 12. Genius really -__-

Just been on Ssn transfer window, on the iPad there is nothing apart from baines basically saying he is staying.

Hope we get naismith, and the rest.

Come on bill I know you got a big production ready for. The start of the new show, so put a smile on all our faces.

Lots of talk about the galaxy being after Lampard, their only allowed 3 designated players, Keanes just got there, Becks just signed a new contract, is Donovan on his way.... Guestie

Believable16 Unbelievable2

Just been looking up on this apparently Landon has a special "grandfathered Status" is is exempt from the designated player so galaxy can have him and 3 other designated players unless Im misunderstanding it, its very complicated (or im very slow)

ToffeeAL

Agree0 Disagree0

Lampard will retire at Chelsea

Donovan is a yank mate....that rule does not apply

Everton have signed Steven Naismith and Steven Pienaar. They will go for Steven Davis on a free and make a bid for Peter Whittingham and Anatoliy Tymoshchuk.

Believable10 Unbelievable20

I would believe you if you just said Naismith but Pienaar aswell,he's on holiday so how could he have already signed hopefully he signs soon though,Whittingham is a good player but I don't think he's good enough to get in the team at Goodison and Moyes is more likely to go for Daniel Pranjic who has said we will know more next week about a possible move. And can't see Moues going for more than one centre mid
