Pranjic from bayern to Everton end of season, nailed on interest in baines as usual, his agents interested in moving him on baines would like to stay at Everton, the club are actively seeking to move Rowell on, city united and Chelsea all interested in a 10 mill deal, Jarvis is a no go, from what I hear Southampton is his destination, Dempsey has declared he'd be intrested in moving to Everton, moyes has previous and would like a deal but funds may be a issue, Diame deal from Wigan might have legs have to wait and see on that one
Wizard out {Ed025's Note - not the real wiz though..
I would sacrifice Rodwell for 10mil, or Jags for 10mil, if it meant we could get a) Pienaar for 4mil, then have another 6mil for someone like a Dempsey or Holtby.
I really think, if we sign Pienaar permanently, we are then only 1 more attacking midfielder type player away from seriously mounting a charge at top 4. Also, a few freebies like Pranjic, Diame and Rodallega wouldn't hurt either. {Ed025's Note - i hope we dont lose any of our good players!..if we want top 4, then we need a bigger squad, its the fringe players we need to bin..
If we pay £4 million or more for Peanuts (which, let's be honest, there's every chance we will) then the argument that our board is incompetent is yet again reinforced - he's older than when we sold him, he's suffered injury since we sold him, and he's demonstrated that he's far happier at Goodison than he is at WHL. We should be angling to pay back what we received and no more - £2.5m for Pienaar, Diame and Prancic on frees and then whatever is available for any from Jay Rodriguez, Bjorn Sigurdarson or Victor Moses (unlikely, I know) and I'd be a very happy blue. I'd be sorry to see Rodders go, but it may be a necessity.
Your argument doesn't stack up, we would have lost Pienaar for nowt at the end of the year - does this mean we should have only ever paid 0 for him? At the end of the day, I'd pay 5M for him and consider it a bargain, sometimes it takes a player to realise the grass isn't always greener etc. I do agree with your Rodders comment tho, would be sorry if it happens but if we need 10+M then I'd rather Rodders go than Ross, Jags or Bainsey.
