Believable0 Unbelievable9

everton will use the arteta money to buy niko from spurs in january {Ed025's Note - or the bank will take it?..

Believable4 Unbelievable5

No Ed the bank will only take a small chunk of the money so we will have like 6 mil to spend {Ed001's Note - I think the point is that the club are keen on reducing the debt, so Moyes will get less to spend than he should.}

Arteta 10 m.
Henderson 20m.
Something not right!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Age i think and we all know henderson is way over priced

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta is older and extremey injury prone! We got a good deal hes been out of form for a while, he wanted to leave so not alot moyes could do! No point forcing him to stay!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes there is............Henderson is young and up and coming and Arteta is past his best and over the hill.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, we have got a good player and you've lost your best player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Their age and nationality is what is "not right".
Arteta is a 29yr old Spaniard, Henderson is a 20 odd Brit......age and English premium.
Andy Carroll will never be worth the same as Fabregas. {Ed001's Note - Henderson cost 15.6m anyway, not 20m.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right something not right Henderson was £16m

Agree0 Disagree0

£15 m for someone at the start of his career and price will appreciate
£10m for someone nearing the end of his career and price will depreciate
No wonder EFC are having money problems if we dont understand economic basics !

Agree0 Disagree0

No henderson was 20 million, says on sky sports news {Ed024's Note - Go on your own page

this is how the Managing Madrid Paper looked at the signing of Drenthe....."This signing should come as a sigh of relief to madridistas everywhere, as Drenthe has been nothing more than a problem for 90 percent of his tenure in Madrid"

sad eh?

Royston Drenthe looks like a real sweet signing. COYB, Mikel, all the best, I think we got the best out of you and you do deserve some Champions league football before the end of your Career so good luck. (It's not like you left us for spurs like peanuts!)

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Good luck Arteta, thanks for everything. Your still the best little Spaniard we know!
Let's get behind the team now.
COYB!

Is Gignac out of contract with Marseille?
If so there could still be a chance to sign him

Drenthe was signed on a season long loan not a free transfer

Disgrace.
Kenwright please go.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Agree 100% Kenwright OUT

Agree0 Disagree0

Time for change folks, we need to let our feelings heard.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing Kenwright could do to stop this the player wanted to leave end of.

Good bit o Business in the window the signing from Madrid looks quality and if it works out we have cut our debt in half and saved about 200K a week in wages and saved a fortune in interest payments. This season will be hard but not a nightmare still top half.

This has made us a much more attractive club to buy and will also put is in line with the new Uafa rules

Agree0 Disagree0

3 players out and 2 loans in. Wasn't Arteta a player he said couldn't be sold of the fans would riot? Time for that riot

Agree0 Disagree0

Face it boys, we need money, £4.5m for Bekford is great business, getting rid of the Yak has saved about £60k a week and Arteta (who has honestly had one brilliant season, and then a couple of alright ones, but not looked great for a couple of years now) asked to go.

I would rather sell a few players than have our wonderful club got the way of Leeds etc, by spanking money we don't have and ending up in Administration. Fact is, Kenwright is a massive blue and always will be...he knows he needs to go, but we don't want to sell the club to people who are just going to see it as a quick investment and are willing to pump us more full of debt than we can feasibly handle, and Kenwright is also wary of that.

Bill Kenwright has done the unthinkable the last 10 years, and that is with spending peanuts, he's managed to keep hold of one of the best managers we're seen in a long time, that any other club in the Premiership would jump at having...for that alone we owe Kenwright as Moyes is always saying that his relationship with Bill is brilliant, and that he is lucky to have it.

Kenwright will go when/if he finds a suitable buyer, until that time we should give him and Everton our full support and get off everyone's back. IMWT. RB

Agree0 Disagree0

No, Arteta was not one of the four "unsellable" players. As far as starting a riot goes, don't be such an idiot!

Agree0 Disagree0

He wanted to go end of, at least he wont hit the wall with anymore free kicks or not beat the first man with corners
he was great for us but not the same in last couple of years and we got 10mill for a 29 yea old
good business

Agree0 Disagree0

£10M for a 29 year old with his fair share of injury problems of late does represent fantastic business. I am gutted though to see him leave but at least it wasn't Baines or Screech. Time for Rodders to step up to the plate and fulfill his potential. Confused that Beckford was allowed to go without a replacment - more to this than meets the eye methinks (maybe the attitude problem at Leeds which was kept quiet, resurfaced?) Denis and Velios up top?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why cant people see Kenwright's retention of the club will see continual decline, read the Blue Union report and understand that he does not have a clue how to run a business {Ed025's Note - we have known this for years and unless he goes....it can only get worse!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Look on the bright side, this will stop the bank from calling in the administrators for at least 6 months, maybe a year !

Agree0 Disagree0

I am now getting sick of so called fans totally undermining the club and treating it with such disrespect. I agree with others, I was disappointed Mikel went however we got in about £15M plus slashing the wage bill and got two players in as well. Please please stop disprespecting the club we all love and get behind the team. We have plenty of great players and are being sensible with the fiancial situation. Where did Stoke get £28M from? borrowed! gambling on their future. Dont drive out other players and our great manager by being so negative. COYB {Ed025's Note - dont get the hump mate..we all love the club!, but you have got to admit, we are a bit of a shambles at the moment...we all want the club to progress, but under this present regime it looks doubtful. we all do, and will support the club, but dont expect us to be doing cartwheels at the way it is being run....which is into the ground..

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough Ed, just not happy at how the start of the season is being undermined by all this abuse directed at BK. We have never had any money, he never said he had any money but saved us from the Johnson era. Whats the alternative that everyone has got to the current situation? {Ed025's Note - BK has got a lot to answer for in my book....all we are looking for is a bit of transparency from the board..he is the main man..the big cheese..numero uno so the buck stops at him..

Agree0 Disagree0

This is true, however he gave transparency by meeting with the supporters.....they threw it back in his face by leaking the interview to the press. That has not helped. Basically advertised to Arsenal and anyone else, bid what you like for Arteta we'll probably take it....nice one. I think we need to carry on as we are at the moment until investment can be found. {Ed025's Note - not investment....new ownership for me..

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather have BK and DM running the show then some buyer who doesnt have the club at heart. We only have to look at what happened across the park....almost went out of business! It will be alright, investment will be found the club will move on we just have to be realistic.

How is Stracqualuisi going to get a work permit, as he does not seem to have one single cap for Argentina or been anywhere near any squad in the last 18 months?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

He has a work permit, something to do with an Italian passport of some sort, mixed Nationality, a work permit WILL NOT be a problem.

GP

Agree0 Disagree0

Most likely Italian grandparents. Or exceptional talent - top league scorer.

Agree0 Disagree0

What is a problem is the fact he had a trial at Leicester earlier in the season and Erikson decided to buy Beckford instead

Agree0 Disagree0

Erikson is well passed his judgement date. Beckford is, at his very best a Championship player no more than that. His link up play and awareness is terrible. £4.5 Mill is far more than what he is worth and shows how desparate Leicester are for a striker. Stracqualuisi looks the business, he knows were the net is. Time will tell if he is good enough, Keep the faith, in Moyes we trust
