Hi Ed, now being reported R K could show the door to up to eight players in the next two transfer windows, he definitely knows the size of the job then, having had ample time to look at them, GuernseyBlue.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - he knows what he wants GB and if the players wont adjust to his way of thinking then he will show them the door, i dont have a problem with that mate..

A key question will be if RK gives the promising U23/ U18 players a chance to prove themselves before bringing others from outside into the first-team squad.

Kone, niasse, Gibson, mcaleny, mcgeady, del boy, macca, garbutt, that would be something like the 8 he would move on I would think.

Hey

. I think we are seeing RK starting to consider u 23 players. ie DCL and Jonjo Kenny both on the bench recently. I think its only a matter of time now before we see more of Tom Davies. in my humble opinion, we will see more of the dynamic pressing game RK favours using Gana and McCarthy (I think he wil stay) and Tom Davies/ Mo Besic becoming involved in the second half of the season. of course there is still a role for GB but I suspect he won't be a 'shoe in' for every game from now on. so new players in are a must but combined with a gradual introduction of one or two u23's.

Mart.

Wow Ed that's some story breaking about Rom very close to a new contract, says they are in the final stages any more news on this one Ed, Cheers GuernseyBlue.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Mino Raiola has been in England since Sunday night and was in the North yesterday seeing folks at a couple of clubs - including Everton. There is no secret that Everton want an extension to ensure they get the best price if he is to be sold, and that the player knows he is worth far more in terms of a package than he is getting right now - so it makes sense. Mino will still listen to offers. Aside from that I know nothing of the matter.}

Hi Ed thanks for that it seems there will be an over £80 mill buy out clause, that's a lot of money, GuernseyBlue.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There won't be any "buy out" clause but the club may look to a "termination clause" of some type.}

21 Dec 2016 17:33:08
That would be "release clause. "

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't think so as that won't help any of the interested sides, assuming they still have an interest in the summer. What would be far more likely is a "termination clause" as I explained.}

21 Dec 2016 18:57:27
If I remember correctly you wrote a good post explaining the differences between things like release clause and termination clauses. Can people find it via the search function?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - yes you can ST..

21 Dec 2016 20:31:28
Release clause sets the amount at which the selling club must listen to a buying club if so called amount is offered. So if Everton set a "release clause" for Lukaku at say £70m and a club offers that much then Everton have to let that club talk to Lukaku. Release clause.

21 Dec 2016 20:41:59
A buy out clause stipulates the amount required to be paid to the club in order for a player to "buy out" his contract should he be three years into that contract (if under 28 years of age) or two years (if over 28 years of age) .

21 Dec 2016 20:46:05
The idea of a release clause isn't to help out interested clubs it's to protect the club the player is registered with by not having to consider offers below the release clause should they not want to. The club set that release clause amount in conjunction with the player/ players reprsentative.

All Jim White on talk sport went on about today was Barkley's tackle last night. how it should be looked at and made into a straight Red. Now the way i saw it was that #### Henderson deliberately put his foot where Barkley was going to put his, making it look a bad foul and trying to get Barkley sent off, the cheating red git. At the end off the day it was only Henderson .

{Ed025's Note - it was a horrific challenge kirbo, i cant make any excuses for him mate, it was probably because he was so frustrated as he was having a nightmare..

What a stupid, blinkered comment.

If it was against one of our players we would have been looking for a red card. and rightly so. but rojos tackle (s) in the Las few weeks have been as bad if not worse. shows the standard of refereeing at the moment.

20 Dec 2016 19:21:57
It was a hospital tackle and he should've gone off. What annoys me more is that Dim White talked about that more than the back to back challenges from Rojo that deserved GBH charges.

20 Dec 2016 20:51:04
Blueray, a bit over the top some may say but in my honest opinion the standard of refereeing has actually deteriorated since they became professional.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would like to think he was BCT, we are very passionate supporters but i would like to think fair as well mate..

21 Dec 2016 09:26:01
There have been and will be plenty of yellows that should be reds when you look back at them in slow motion from different angles if the ref sees it and punishes the player at the time then IMO the matter is settled. If you start banging out punishments retrospectively for things that occur on the pitch after the match then your opening up a can of worms.

Video referee puts an end to incompetent officials, and before anybody says it will slow the game down heres my take on it.
When Rojo went in 2 footed within 30 seconds i seen a repeat on the monitors in front of me in the upper bullens, same with Barkley's on Monday.
