strong rumour that Jack Rodwell will return to EFC on loan till the end of the seaon with the proviso he brings his own treatment table

Believable11 Unbelievable29

Can't see that happening myself he'd never get the table in the back of his car. Plus there only one road out of the Man city training ground "the road to nowhere"

One going around on twitter is Donovan coming back for good, don't know how true tho

Believable14 Unbelievable26

You'll find that's Gary Barlow

Agree0 Disagree0

Talk in the us and at galaxy is the Donovan might retire, he's struggled to stay fit and has been thinking about it for some time, glalxy's manager has been trying to talk his out of it but not looking good.............shame as he still has as lot to offer

Agree0 Disagree0

He has said if Galaxy don't let him leave then he will retire. So the ball is in their court. IF he does leave his no1 choice would be to come to us permanently. Though there is also interest from clubs in Spain.

Agree0 Disagree0

We simply don't need Donovan when we have mirallas

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2013 20:36:11
We havnt had Mirallas for 8 weeks so what happens if he gets injured again, also Donovan can play as a Striker so win win

Everytime Landon has come he has lifted the team, imagine if we got a lift when we are already playing well

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

He would still be quality and take the pressure of mirallas's hamstrings. Can play in more than one position and most importantly seems to have the handy knack of making the whole team play better.

Young-rocky

Agree0 Disagree0

We simply need Donovan when mirallas has been out for 2 months. it's about more than 11 players you know

Agree0 Disagree0

If mirralles isn't fit he's ideal back up.

We need more than eleven players

Agree0 Disagree0

Your saying we don't need donation we have mirallas the diff between us and the others at top end of league is they have quality options to come off the bench plus mirallas out more times than he is fit if donavon comes I for one would be made up as its a quality player even if he is coming off the bench. Efc dean

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do we evertonians say things like Mirallas can play right wing when he is fit so we don't need a right winger.
Mirallas, Donovan and Pienaar can play anywhere across that attacking mid 3. Kev and Landon can play upfront. I would take him in a heartbeat. Options are what separate the top teams from the mid table imagine signing donovan all of a sudden you have this squad in Moyes prefered 4231
Howard

Hibbo/Coleman. Jags/distin/hietinga bai

Felli/gibbo/osmanm/neville

Kev/donovan. Osman/felli/ pea/ovied
Kev/donovan/
Pienaar

Jela/Anichebe

Quality players give you options if there is no quality centre mids out there then a quality right winger gives us options in the middle as felli can drop deeper. Sometimes round pegs do fit in square holes. Would take quality over a body anyday

svenny {Ed025's Note - im with you svenny..

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe he will retire, he's fed up with football!! Shocking!

Agree0 Disagree0

He should retire, thus ending his contract with the MLS, then have a change of heart and sign for Everton a month later. :)

whiteshadow

Agree0 Disagree0

He's more likely to just need a rest than to actually retire. He's spent those 2 "offseasons" with us. Let him have a rest and sign permanent as a great squad player for our champions league campaign next season.

Can't see David moyes going chelski abramvich is a controle freak don't no why they need a manager with him but if moyes isn't going 2 commit 2 us I think we should av a look 2 bring laudrup in ov Swansea this guy is going 2 be a top class manager does any1 else Agee bluejack!

Agree0 Disagree0

What's that gotta do with the original post?

Agree0 Disagree0

MOYES going NOWHERE. wise up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see it myself. They rejected a 5 million bid from norwich and called it 'derisory'. Not sure we've got much more than that knocking about.

Lotan

Agree0 Disagree0

For the amount of money celtic would demand we would be better off going for Rhodes at Blackburn

Agree0 Disagree0

Blackburn going to want silly money as they paid 8 for Rhodes we should av got him then I say go for Charlie Austin has a great scoring record so why not? Not sure what Hooper brings to the table that we ain't already got anyway;

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic won't 8mil for him be a top signing him and jelyfish we would be playing champions league football for sure

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather we went for someone like Yoan Gouffran, only 6 months left on his contract, and can be deployed out wide as well as up front

Rennes general manager has confirmed M'Vila sale and is announcing the destination tomorrow. QPR favourites, but I have a sneaky feeling it might be us.... {Ed025's Note - lets hope so..

Believable11 Unbelievable27

Ed, Get your bloodhounds on the story...

George

Agree0 Disagree0

Think it's spurs hope not!

Agree0 Disagree0

Russia is were the money is {Ed025's Note - unless your a beetroot seller..

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wants to use us or QPR as a stage before going to an elite club we would be a better choice for progression at a higher level if he is considering his career in football terms if he is in to for the money like many modern day footballers are then QPR would be his likely destination. Or perhaps his destination will be spurs where he won't be getting as frequent game time will recieve a lot of money and will very gradually progress but at that time his career wouldn't have gone in the right direction

Agree0 Disagree0

Today is the 22nd, been two days and no news what so ever

yann m'vila set to join on loan until end of season with everton then set to pay 7.25 million if he impresses COYB!

Believable12 Unbelievable24

We would have to guarantee we pay them over wise he can leave on a free agent can't he? Maybe not but I thought he has 6 months left I could be thinking of moussa sissoko but I thought both would be free agents in the summer maybe not but if we pull it off it would be a good deal

Agree0 Disagree0

M`villa apparently is contracted until 2014 according to Transfermarket.com.
If we are in for him along woth QPR, then it`s down to wages I reckon. Tough choice, a team challenging for CL football or a team bottom of the league........hmmmmmmmm, lets hope he picks for footballing reasons.
Bluefish {Ed025's Note - you could have said that about remy though, to some of these guys...money is their god..

Agree0 Disagree0

Already believed to have said he isn't too keen on QPR! Lets hope he is a footballer and no a mercenary eh! COYB
SpekeBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

If he doesn't go to QPR which I think he will then he will go to Spurs COYS

Chelski could make a move for Davey Moyes in the summer if he doesn't renew his contract-Sunday Telegraph {Ed025's Note - can you really see moyes being told what to do by abramovic?...i cant..

Believable5 Unbelievable16

I can't see it either ed, he may be accused of being this or that, but you can't accuse him of being stupid. Thought I'd post it as it was out there.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way he will leave, not after the season we are having. He is proving that money isn't everything. We are old school and having a team that regularly plays together with a stable manager for 10 years shows that it takes time to develop and be successful. I can't see him leaving as everything he has said seems positive towards signing a new contract, well apart from the wanting to manage in Germany comment but I regarded this as further down the line so might never happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Any manager that isn't chasing a big pay check would stay well clear of that job. BSM

Agree0 Disagree0

If we let, it would probably be for the bundesliga. Chelsea...no chance. The set-up there is a managers nightmare.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the hell would he go there knowing if he had a bad run of games he'd be out of a job

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he take the poisoned chalice?

Agree0 Disagree0

As if Chelsea would even think about getting Moyes. Why can't you all get it into your heads that Moyes will not leave. No bigger club will take him, and why would he leave here when he is so much in his comfort zone?

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Clear another post to stir up some negativity. Assume you have not seen his press confrence this week and his comments over chairmen who don't give managers time?

Agree0 Disagree0

Talk about poisened chalice. No manager in his right mind would work for Chelsea, they will be their own undoing as decent Managers will avoid

Agree0 Disagree0

'Clear another post to stir up some negativity' ? No mate, I was just relating what the sunday telegraph have printed. Not me stirring up negativity, the sunday telegraph.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think moyes to chelsea could happen. going to get slated for this but lets look at the facts, moyes in his 11th year andn we've won?? nothing, no money etc etc I get that but I think he's taking us as far as he can. michael laudrup 1st season in football has just about got swansea to a cup final and I think theyl win it.

move over moyes thanks for all your hard work but time to go

We got £12mill up front for rodwell"I no we spent money on pienaar and mirallas"don't man city still owe us abt £4mill with the add ons from the rodwell deal??coyb

Believable5 Unbelievable7

We might have to hold some money back if Rangers win their case against the players leaving them without compensation

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2013 10:49:49
I THINK HE MIGHT NEED TO PLAY TO GET SOME ADD ONS. BSM

Agree0 Disagree0

Pienaar was before Rodwell and was moyes whole budget then he sold rodwell for 12m and brought in mirallas for 5.5 and ovieado for 2.5. We should have 4 left

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope the remaining money is not based on appearances.

Could be done wait!

DBEFC

Agree0 Disagree0

None of us know the true figure, you're just speculating. It's been reported as £12m, £15m and even as high as £17-18m. Only the money men know the true figure, and whilst it makes sense to have add ons related to performance and appearance, he's not made many and city haven't won anything so it seems irrelevant at this stage

Agree0 Disagree0

The ad ons will probably inc lude numbe rod appearances rodwell makes--we could be waiting for ever for anymore money

Agree0 Disagree0

Some money will have gone to the bank.
people just adding up figures in &out it doesn't work like that, as far as i'm aware the fees are not all paid in one lump sum!

Agree0 Disagree0

You're forgetting wages of the 3 players signed. They don't play for free and are on a lot more combined than Rodwell earned.

Paul here, Everton fan now living in Edinburgh, strong rumours up here Velios going on loan to Hearts until end of season

Believable14 Unbelievable6

Can't see him being sent to such a poor league like the spl he would be sent to the championship if anything

Agree0 Disagree0

How are hearts going to pay his wages they don't pay there curent players wages at times!
