A mate seems to think the takeover will be complete In time for January window an there will be a lot of money to spend
Well, at least you don't say 'FACT!'.
I don't say fact because I don't believe its TRUE but just posting what I was told. has the ed heard anything of the sort {Ed025's Note - i only know that they are interested in acquiring a prem team, and that us and west ham are the main targets, no talks have taken place yet, well as far as i am aware anyway..
It was a sort of compliment to you when I say at least you don't say 'FACT!' - it is in reference to the past rumours that, even though they may only be what someone thinks, they still include 'FACT!' - so keep cool and take it as a compliment.
I know everybody is saying redbull would effectively tune us into a new team and wipe our history but no English fan in his right mind, whether he supported Everton, Liverpool, West Ham, Fulham, Sunderland etc would ever give up the clubs history and tradition for a tonne of cash. Rebranding may work in the U.S with the plastic fan but not here, if Red Bull really want in on an English team they'll eventually have to learn to compromise and settle for sponsorship and stadium naming rights. Which isn't really such a bad thing, so I'm curious to see what happens with this.
But would you even have 'red' in the name of the stadium? Think they need to change their name from Red Bull to Blue Bull.or maybe it's late and I'm talking a load of bull. Good night campers. (Wavertree Blue)
Does it need red in the name there are alternatives for example the f1 team is Infiniti Redbull racing. Infiniti would dovetail nicely with Everton {Ed001's Note - Infiniti are just a sponsor, they are a brand of car, the luxury car arm of Nissan, similar to Lexus and Toyota.}

Would fans prefer to see red in the name or continue as a club always in the red financially.?
Might not be such a bad thing, they do have blue bull which they are trying to promote. Let's wait and see what develops.
How dare you say american fans are plastic, its not like the ny/nj metro stars had any history to begin with before they were bought by red bull. sorry the mls isn't over a hundred years old like english league football. what a ridiculous generalization you made. I highly doubt that if red bull took over a premier league team it would totally rebrand the teams image, it would be, much much harder for them to do that because they would face stiff opposition. why do you think hockey teams or american football teams never get rebranded? its because of the passion and love the fans have for their teams

Personally I wouldn't mind if they did rebrand Everton to something along the Lines of 'Everton blue bulls' (although I would draw the line at red). And anyway, it's not like it's even possible to wipe Everton's history, that stays with the fans no matter what corporate body takes over. In an increasingly money driven sport this sort of takeover is probably the only option for us, though I think it will ultimately be West Ham who will be the beneficiaries of this. Incidentally, I would love it if our new shirt was to follow the branding on the far right of these drinks cans - http://www.energyfiend.com/red-bull-red-blue-and-silver-edition
Even better - 'Everton, the edition'
