Hi Ed, not usually one to talk rumours but I heard yesterday from someone that Everton have been keeping tabs on Pione Sisto. Have you heard anything on your end?

{Ed002's Note - I wrote this two years ago: "Midtjylland's Pione Sisto has drawn scouts from Celta Vigo, Everton, Leicester, Ajax, Valencia, Southampton, Barcelona, Manchester City, Marseille and West Ham, who had prior interest, this season. Prior interest of Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Rennes and Monaco has seemingly gone."

Actually I can credit Martinez with interest going back as far as late 2014.

Since those heady days, I am afraid I know of no interest from Everton BB.}

Hi ed, just been on the Arsenal page looking at contenders for their job. You spoke about Fonseca and that is immediate future has been resolved, what dl you mean by this mate? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I doubt I said that it has been resolved, but it has "seemingly" been resolved for now in that there is now tentative agreement over his contract extension. I have to say the complete unprofessionalism shown by the club with their "survey" has drawn derision across Europe and will certainly not help their cause if they are looking for a new manager this summer.}

So do you believe he will stay despite the interest in him around Europe? Great sight as ever so thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I think he will likely stay for now. It is a good job with regular Champions League.}

Exactly! Ed002 puts it in a nutshell, a terrible own goal by EFC, any manager would think twice about taking on a club that attempts to throw their managers under a bus, the club deserves all the critiscism it receives after this symbolic episode.

If Allardyce is as good as he thinks he is then a supporters survey should be no problem. It's only a problem if (as everyone expects) he gets savaged! Club's done nowt wrong in my opinion. If you can't handle the truth don't do the job.

It’s not about right or wrong. It’s about being an attractive career destination for the best managers. Moshiri talks Simeoni and we get Allardyce. And if we keep doing silly stuff like this survey which I don’t hear any other clubs doing, then what the hell do we expect.

Are they that detached from the supporter that they have to ask? Go to the game and watch and listen. I’m utterly embarrassed that they’ve dropped this clanger. As are they which is why all I’m reading is about a statue of the holy Trinity. Conveniently burying bad news.

And they need to personally thank Wenger for his timing too. Or else the embarrassment will be still raw today.

If we get a half decent manager after this I will be shocked.

If he's still here next season, I'll have lost a lot of faith.

All I can say if Sam wants the fans to get behind him he better start showing us another way if playing now we are safe, if he carries in playing this drab football then he has no one to blame but himself when the fans get on his back.

All this bull. Everton have sent the same survey for at least last 3-4 years, asking everything from what opinion is about facilities at goodison, to cuisine, to welcoming, to manager and board. it was not specially devised for Sam allardyce. fact is the man is getting handsomely rewarded for playing uninspiring, drab boring football. he acts like he cares. it's a sham. The sooner he goes the better. On a slightly different note for the next manager I will wait three years before passing comment. footy fans generally too quick to judge. me included. Allardyce aside of course.
