strange how howard was number 1 keeper and robles the cup keeper but now robles is number 1 howard deemed not good enough for the cup. that's tells me that robbie agreed tim was crap but didint like anyone telling him so then when tim got injured robbie got the perfect excuse to keep robles in goal and it looks likes it was all his idea all along.

Think as our club captain he has every right to give an opinion. don't believe for one minute that refs hold grudges against certain teams, its financially not worth it to them, it's more a case of them just not being very good. If we are good enough we will win, simple as that. To call our captain a muppet is an insult to him and the club. Supporter?

come ed. scrutinized by an observer are you serious, these observers are a bunch of idiots they stick together and do nothing just like the fa who let berhino off for the stamp on macarthy they make excuses and get their storys right to protect their bezzy mates and then it all goes away these obsevers you mention are the same observers who saw the sterling cross that was out and the throw in that was giving to city because we never took our throw quick enough was there nothing done about that so we get the same ref again this week it stinks.

{Ed025's Note - your very cynical paul, there is not a conspiracy against everton mate, decisions go for and against and i know we have had some bad luck at times but thats just the way it goes im afraid..

So according to you bluupaul Jags mustn't comment on a ref that directly insulted him during a match. But you, who hasn't been insulted think it's ok to call Jags a stupid muppet cretin. Is there any chance that you could be one or even all of these yourself?

Or the same observers who didn't see the Stones penalty on Sterling? You are very blinkered my friend. All clubs get bad calls, that's just how it is. One ref and 22 athletes playing a high tempo game, where decisions have to be made in an instant. Some they get wrong, but most they get right IMO.

This mans incompetence cost the club the game at city, far from keeping quiet, the club should have been raising holy hell about his performance at city, and his appointment to this match. The man should be serving a ban for that performance, and his comments, if he where a player, he would have been facing a charge of bringing the game into disrepute.

Alex Ferguson was a master stroke at pre match mind games, he's letting Atkinson know he dropped a bollock in the cup game, he will think twice about giving anything dodgy against us with all eyes on him, let just hope Jags doesn't lunge into a tackle too early.

Atkinson shouldn't be refereeing high profile games till he realises the rules concerning throw in. oliver never gave us a throw in last saturday for all west broms time wasteing. maybe he would have given a penalty for fosters time wasteing. Jags doesn't deserve the reaction goven from his comments.

In my opinion, public criticism of referees performance good or bad should be from club officials and not players, That is from the manager.
