A pop up Everton related news was on my google home page suggesting Santiago Sosa from river plate was near for £13m and his agent was flying in, whoever HITC was the reporting source. I would paste the screen shot but don’t think I’m allowed copywrite etc

It’s a baffling one this Sosa stuff, seen a number of articles now with him mentioned as anything from a defensive mid to a central box to box type and an attacking mid depending on the source you read.
So basically none have a clue and some reference him as an alternative to Brahimi who I thought was of interest back in Koeman’s tenure so long gone.

From everything I hear he will be in the u20 World Cup but is seen as a development player as opposed to a player ready to step into the first team.
Apparently tall lad that has good skill and distribution quality.
So I would not get to excited if you are expecting a first team addition.

Santiago Sosa’s agent apparently on route to discuss £13m move to us from river plate. I read this on news item that pops up on my search engine .
Sorry if there was too much copywrite breech in my previous post Ed’s

Not too sure how we’ll get a work permit for him, apparently hasn’t made many first team appearances.
Onyekuru we’re still struggling to get a work permit for and he’s been out on loan playing regularly.

If it's true doubt if we would get a work permit for the lad.

Apparently they can get passed it through a 'special talent' permit.

Apparently they're hoping the lad will fall into the 'Exceptional Talent' category which will aid his visa application. Also a lot of these Argies seem to have access to Italian passports via heritage. Suppose it's going to be a case of wait and see with this one.

Not sure how the exceptional talent works but Onyekuru is playing for his national side, has collected a league winners medal with his loan club, surely now after two years in the waiting you would think one would be granted.

I am scratching my head to think of any other Premier league team has had a problem, obtaining a visa after 2 seasons.
