Sell him for £12M and let's buy him back for £13M next year.
Ant F Aintree. {Ed025's Note - let it go ant ffs..
Agree1
Disagree1
I wouldn't sell we'll need him come winter {Ed025's Note - he is our only senior back up centre half...we need him badly..
Agree1
Disagree1
Lighten up please ed, it's only a joke mate.
Ant F Aintree.
(first ever post) {Ed025's Note - fair enough ant..

Screw them for every penny. They just sold Dawson for £10 million. So, at least the same for J5
Agree1
Disagree1
Well he is not in talks as he was shopping in Manchester with his wife and kid this evening!
Agree0
Disagree0
If they do bid, could see it happening as I think he knows he could be sat on the bench a lot as Moyse clearly favours Jags. Depends what they offer tho. £10m = good business in my opinion
Agree1
Disagree0
If Dawson is sold for 9 million, Evertons player of the season must be worth at least 13-15 million!
Agree1
Disagree0
Just a lot of spout thrown together by the media since the golden egg was beaten on Monday.
Moyes has not failed us yet and I can not see him selling now as everyone is happy including the bank so onwards and upwards.
Craig
Agree1
Disagree0
Any bid around 9 10 mil I think he will sell him and bring Duffy through
Agree1
Disagree0
Heitinga must stay, we lost a senior centre midfielder too in Rodwell. Since jonny can play CB and Defensive mid we have to keep him considering we have a small squad.
Agree1
Disagree0
I'm a bit confused. He's one of the best defenders in the league. He'd be one of the first names on my team sheet. Distin is great but I'd pick Johnny every day of the week.
Agree1
Disagree0
Tottenham already have 4 CBs in:
Gallas, Caulker, kaboul and vertonghan. Dont think there is any truth in this, johny will get his chance and he is not only CB cover but hes cover for CDM so i cant see him leaving
JM_12
Agree0
Disagree1
Sell him for 8 to 10 mill and get a younger cheaper back up and then use the funds to strengthen elsewhere. Would allow us to sign better quality in other areas.
Agree1
Disagree0
Why sell him Distin might only be here for 1 more yr! So next yr Heitinga and Jags will be our main 2.. Duffy looks excellent but not as our main back up this season! This is a non-starter unless Heitinga asks to leave!!
aflm78 {Ed051's Note -
Agree0
Disagree1
Use the funds to strengthen elsewhere? Rubbish! Ok sell johny, then what we gona do when Distin jacks in end of the year? Johny is essential to our squad and quite possibly a future captain IMO
Agree0
Disagree0
Tell them we will have Kaboul and defoe for a straight exchange or tell them to swiftly move on
Agree1
Disagree1
If Johnny H does go I think we should get ryan shawcross in as a direct replacement!
Agree1
Disagree0
Can see this happening. Johnny doesnt start for us and is on big wages. Spurs have sold dawson and bassong. If dawson is worth £10m then a world cup final centre back must be worth circa £15m Ed what do you reckon. Am sure moyes would then get good cover for around £5m and leave us with another £10m to spend woohoo it all sound so simple
Cheeks {Ed051's Note - I agree
Agree0
Disagree0
If Dawson went for 9m only look at offers at 10+million for Jonny he has international experience as well don't want to sell but 10 million would not be bad business we have jags distin duffy Neville can do a job there as well so could invest in a defender for half that money and can still get ince or Phillips as well not sure who is better though out of the 2
Agree1
Disagree0
We cant afford to let him go distan looked knacked end of last game
Agree1
Disagree0
Distin did run his arse off the other night so he would be knackered played well, tell spurs to f..k off our Johnny don't want to leave.
Agree1
Disagree1
He is staying. Happy at the club and set to extend his contract. Talks have taken place
Agree1

24 Aug 2012 01:24:14
He did a Q and A on twitter and said he is more than happy to stay at Goodison

Why would we sell him when we only have 2 other centre half's (plus Duffy).

This is something Iv,e been saying for a while now!...future England international moyes type of player, hard working, good passer, and has a goal in him!,also right age!... just not sure about the price! 4m would be about right! but not sure if it will happen!....jmff
Agree1
Disagree0
If Phillips price is £6m do you think you will get Ince for less?
Oh, I forgot, you are the club who could get Rhodes for £4m! {Ed025's Note - not now....£2m...he would only be a bench warmer for us..
Agree1
Disagree0
Haha well said Ed. I think some of these championship clubs really do overvalue their players a bit. I think like has been said around £4-5m would be right . Good player and would get a fair few starts. Whats your thoughts on ince Ed and do we have any interest in him

Liverpool - 7/4
Everton - 12-1

Sunderland are now 2/5 odds on and we are out at 20/1. Bookies don't get it that wrong.

Yes we are still after adam johnson some reports say whave put a offer on the table for him plus he would like to come to everton because of the playing time he will get there
Agree1
Disagree1
Ummmm remember they said that about everton before plus his more likely to be playing european football with everton next season than with little sunderland
Agree0
Disagree0
Yeh but those odds are if he signs permanent not a loan which we can only afford.
Robbie
Agree1

Johnson has turned down sunderland now its between everton (europe next season) or liverpool relegation (championship next season) happy times ahead blues imwt.
Agree1
Disagree0
The thing is, with pienaar, mirallas, naismith, osman all able to play the flanks! who would drop out? because he would want assurences that he would play!...Moyses could not do that, he,s sat on the bench enough already at rubbisheh and is looking to steak a claim in the 2014 world cup!...so i would be very surprised if he turned up at goodison!.......jmff
Agree0
Disagree0
How simple is it to spell the managers name correctly IT'S M O Y E S for Christs sake
Agree1

Why does he want steak ? Nice though it is, I think he'd prefer to play for england

Bookies dont get it wrong PaulWRX?
The same Bookies that stopped taking bets on 'arry next England manager and Moyes to spuds, when both had never even been approched?

Is there still interest in bringing Adam Johnson to Goodison? {Ed025's Note - yes there is..
Believable18
Unbelievable6
Strong rumors that Mancini would prefer to offload Johnson instead of loaning him out.
I personally don't think we can match his wages or transfer amount.
Agree1

Its not all about wages cant see sunderland matching his wages ?
Agree1
Disagree0
I Think We Will See 1 More Signing Dempsey £6 Million And 2 Loan Deals Johnson And Defensive Cover Dont Know Who What Do Others Think Will Happen This Will Be Are Best Season Under Moyes IMWT.
Agree1
Disagree1
Can't see us signing Johnson AND Dempsey, though we do have a few players off the wage bill, Cahill's wage behind quite significant I would've thought it could free up funds for a loan move for Johnson. I'd be grateful for either one, preferably dempsey but can't see us paying the fee they want.
Agree1
Disagree0
I can see us getting 1 or 2 random loans on deadline day as per usual and maybe one other permanent. I'd like to see a defensive CM, think we've ample cover in other positions.
Agree1
Disagree1
I can see us getting Fatfizidaz , let's hope this is true

Everton are planning on bringing in Jermaine Jenas from Spurs to replace Jack Rodwell for £1.2m {Ed025's Note - hmmm..
Believable3
Unbelievable35
When he's fit he is a good player {Ed025's Note - so is owen!...trouble is, they spend more time on the treatment table...than the pitch!..
Agree1

Jenas a has been, injury prone, ther better out ther
Agree0
Disagree0
We are after adam johnson
Agree1
Disagree1
Yea I hear we're after David Goodwillie and Georgios Samaras too. NOT
Agree0
Disagree0
Jenas played out of his skin for robson in the black n white stripes - surley moyes would find his best worth a pun for a mil surley ?? {Ed025's Note - i just dont know what he would bring to the party..
Agree1
Disagree0
He's going to Sunderland with Danny Rose....
Agree1

Is that so we can replace one unfortunately always injured player with another? I guess it will keep the treatment room busy.

I'm sure Moyes came out and said he wasn't interested in Owen, and he himself appears to be distancing himself from a move here. I honestly dont think Moyes will use Mirallas on wing, not if he can hit the net 20 times out of 25 up front.I think right winger is priority now but who? reckon Moyes will sign an absolute gem on deadline day. here's hoping anyway!
Believable14
Unbelievable13
Yes it will be adam johnson on metro site it says he will take some convincing to snub everton.who are already promising him a regular ib the team if that is the case looks like we are favourites to sign him and it goes on saying its all about playing time {Ed025's Note - i cant see us promising him a guaranteed place, our midfield is so full of quality...that no one is in it as of right!..
Agree1
Disagree0
I too hope we can get a winger in to supply the ammunition for our forwards.
Ste F 1878.
Agree1

Be good to have johnson so he can blend into the midfield and for cover to and even give some one a rest at times to be honest i think we will get johnson i think theses more to this thyat we know
Agree1
Disagree0
Its good to get johnson that will bring the best out of him and other in the midfield because they all be fighting for they places
Agree1
Disagree0
DId you saw Fellaini's performance against Manchester United ? There is no way Moyes would move him to another position.
Mirallas would play as a winger
Agree1
Disagree0
What happens if one of them gets a knock it be good to have johnson so everyone can fight for they place plus we can allways give johnson games in the cup so he can build up his fitness

Squad is taking shape now, hope Johnny stays as we'll undoubtedly get plenty of knocks at centre half... Would like to see a really solid midfield player added now because as we all imagined, felli will operate behind Jela. Late moves in window for CM, Out and out striker and right back please!

We don't need a right back we have hibbo. just because he dose not get forward or take on people like Baines people think he is not good but he is a solid defender

Just an observation kid, I'll jump on football manager and search right wingers and make one up later if you want.. Zzzzz {Ed051's Note -
Agree1
Disagree1
Wat about heitinga though he sat on the bench other day
Agree1
Disagree0
I'm anticipating Heitinga still playing a lot of games at CB due to our rotten luck with injuries. However, he is adequate cover in there whilst Jags and Distin are fit. It comes down to the old cliche though, of needing depth to sustain high standards over 40 odd games. 2 more (likely loans) for me..
Agree1
Disagree0
I agree we need another midfield player for cover. i hope we dont sit back now in the transfer market
Agree1

Like to see a young CM to keep Gibson on his toes and potentially replace him.
Agree0

I would take a look at Aaron Ramsey due to arsenal stacki g out on midfielders and Wiltshire returning soon. {Ed025's Note - i think the midfield is sorted..

What are you on about replacing Gibson!?!?! Sure the fella has been brilliant since signing in January. You're already looking to replace him? Good one {Ed051's Note - Gibson needs to stay its no fluke we ain't lost with him in team
