My take on this is we will sell Gaye and use the money on bringing Michy Bats in.
I also think McCarthy has not been rushed back to ensure he is fully fit for the departure of Gaye.
If we do sell Gaye and bring Michy in We have enough cover for Gayes departure.
Expect McCarthy to either start or come off the bench on Saturday, with Gaye not in the squad.

We have McCarthy, Benni, Davies, even Schnids who can cover his place, when you have Schnids and Gaye alongside each other, the ball will go sideways, be interesting to see how Schnids has played without Gaye alongside him.
If we use the money on a Michy Bats coming in, I think it will be good business. Enough cover in midfield, desperately shortin attack.
On a final note, I would put Hornby on the bench for the cup game.
