22 Jul 2014 23:39:10
How old is he?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - 18 i think mate..

22 Jul 2014 23:48:56
Oh for god sake, i'm all for smart young buys but this striker problem needs solving NOW, we should stop wasting time buying could be decent in 5 years time strikers, rom needs to make his mind up very very soon as the forward issue is becoming most taxing

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - it will be solved swan, and not by henen, im sure of it mate..

Swans right ed, imo and with no knowledge to this just a gut feeling. I don't think lukaku will sign. I also think a time scale should now be put in place or this could go right down to the wire and end up going badly wrong.remember dithering davie last year. cost him his job and Manchester United a top 4 finish. again this can change very quickly the sooner the better.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we have got to stay positive richie, i know it looks like we are stagnant in the market, but work is going on behind the scenes, i do agree that chelsea are messing us about though mate..

Martinez said we would buy a mid and three attackers. Presumably one would be a left sided player to back up pienaar and one will be a starter like Lukaku, bony, bacca. Etc. That leaves one for a player like hennen who could be phenomenal and should feature this year a bit as a too be 19 year old like del was.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2014 06:22:39
Is this guy one if the three attackers martinez said he wanted?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - probably jipster..

23 Jul 2014 07:11:54
Talented young forward by the sounds of things, but surely our focus at this moment in time has got to be on the first team squad? We NEED to get a couple of new faces into the team as early as possible so we can hit the ground running. I fully believe bobby will sort it out but it is frustrating to see teams around us and below spending all sorts and where stagnant! Anyways COYB!

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2014 08:27:03
A 33 year old on a free transfer and a young kid no one gas ever heard of. Pretty depressing stuff can see the blue union doing another march soon

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - well it had better be soon jipster, as shortly they will have nothing to moan about mate..

23 Jul 2014 08:32:17
Tell us more ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - nothing to tell yet mate, but im confident the club will come up trumps with some quality signings..

Why are we harping on about his age? Lukaku must of been around the same age when he was at West Brom a couple of seasons ago, would you have not taken him then?
If Martinez thinks he has it, then who are we to question him, otherwise we would all be top Managers, he is not our main striker target, but may surprise us all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on slev! Everybody calm down bobby says he is going into the u21s. Big signin imminent I reckon

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2014 12:50:38
If he's good enough then he's old enough, need to sort lukaku in next couple of weeks. Sure Bobby's got a plan b though.

Agree0 Disagree0

@Slev. Martinez has said he is for the under 21s mate so that shows he doesn't think he's good enough yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't say he was good enough, just that he may surprise us, will go back to the situation with Lukaku, he wasn't bought by Chelsea to go straight into there first team, but didn't take him long to start bagging goals at the age of 19 for WBA, so why all the negativity, he may well be a dud, who knows. could get Francis Jeffers back from Accrington he is still there as a stop gap for a season??

Agree0 Disagree0

Need to have a bit of confidence. RM has been a genius in the transfer market so far. look who he got in at the last minute before. COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - good point rob..

I wasn't saying he was going to be a dud mate or negative about him just simply that he has been bought for the under 21s so his chances of getting a run out in the first team i'd remote that's alls I meant by him not being good enough, I don't mean ever just that in Martinez eyes he's obviously not ready for the first team.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2014 21:45:20
If this was moyes we would be screaming blue murder. The truth of it is we have not improved the squad from last year and there is only a few weeks to the new season. As of now we're still stuck with osman, naismith etc and until we sort it out were going to always be reliant on players like this. The old saying of I'm sure the signings are imminent has gone on a bit too long for my liking.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - stuck with naisy?..i think hes quality myself longy, but you could be right mate...lets sack martinez..

24 Jul 2014 11:38:19
Nobody's saying sack martinez ed but it doesn't matter who is managing the club it is the everton way to have the fans gossiping throughout the summer about who were going to sign an then nothing happens until the last day of the season. Have to disagree over naismith though ed think he's rubbish basically

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we all see different things in players longy..and thats ok, on the transfers..i was just saying as supporters there is nothing we can do mate...so lets just keep our peckers up and ride the train..

22 Jul 2014 22:24:34
Yes I know this is boring but still have us to get Lukaku 1/5 on.

and are there any deals close

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - chelsea are still playing silly buggers ste, see previous posts for other deals mate..

22 Jul 2014 20:11:29
any news on henen ed has been for his med or is this just a rumour

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - nothing from here on a medical yet KH..

22 Jul 2014 19:47:15
Rumour in the media of Brahimi . the Algerian 24yrs old attacking midfielder . He's French and has played at every youth level for France before jumping into the Algerian World Cup squad

Believable2 Unbelievable10

22 Jul 2014 22:11:32
Has he won lots of trophies, if not he's crap, if so, offer our whole squad in exchange because that automatically makes him a superstar!

Agree0 Disagree2

I remember him being quite good in the World Cup, liveliest of algerias players against Germany, in a game Algeria could have actually won with a touch more luck.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jul 2014 23:21:27
He'll be similar to Deulofeu. Not much end product and unlikely to become first team, but very, very skillful and would be an excellent super sub.

Agree1 Disagree1

He has signed for Valencia 6.5 million

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not French, he is Algerian who once played for France Team!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2014 18:43:23
Keep hearing the same rumoUr here in work regards James Milner, apparently he will be joining us sometime in the next week or so, Our bobby is just waiting for the some other transfers to be sorted ( my own opinion/hope is the ROM deal?) Personally I think his experience will be massive for us in the Europa league.

COYB!

Believable11 Unbelievable10

I'd take him in a heart beat

Agree2 Disagree0

I actually like milner he can play in a few positions and is a whole hearted player, like to see him lukaku and a.n other striker/winger as a minimum, this David Hanan looks like a goo young one but hey you never know

Agree0 Disagree0

After his last England display he's no frigging right back! lol

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2014 20:07:03
He can play any position, but he's sh#te in all of them

Agree0 Disagree1

Think city would try cash plus milner deal for barkley if we were interested and might play hard ball so I can't see it but think he would be a good signing but not at the expense of rossi.

Agree0 Disagree1

100% agree Mik! definitely just a right Mid! Swan what are you on son? Have you ever watched him? consistantly performs and would make a great addition to our club! rumor has it it will be in the 6-8 mil bracket Bluesteel!

Agree1 Disagree0

As a say if we can get him without any trap doors then ad snap him up european experience, knows what it takes to finnish in top four and he will improve us no doubt about it. sign him up!

Agree1 Disagree0

Very good player, would be awesome at Everton. Swan I'm really not sure who or what you think we can attract. You need to be way more realistic in your views of who we could sign. Milner is proven, his form the end of last season won City games and pretty much the league. Like Barry and McCarthy would hit the ground running, I actually think the rumour is unrealistic as he is out of our league

Agree2 Disagree0

Cept Milner is miles better than all of those players.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2014 13:10:59
Everton has not enough budget to bring Rom back to Goodison Park if not sell McCarthy to Nan utd. Crazy news I have ever heard.

Believable7 Unbelievable22

WE got close to £80m for finishing 4th

Belgian journalist Sven Claes says Henen passed a medical at Finch Farm on Monday and will wear the number 39 shirt, after his favourite player Nicolas Anelka.

is this true eds?

Believable15 Unbelievable6

{Ed025's Note - not that i am awareTB mate..

22 Jul 2014 12:38:34
David Henan passed medical and was seen at ff yesterday by numerous journalists going to wear number 39 shirt big fan of Anelka. Looks very good for future just needs 4/5 signings for team now in bobby we trust

Believable10 Unbelievable4

22 Jul 2014 11:03:01
David Henan. about to sign for around £1 million, brilliant young Belgium 18 year old winger/striker.dubbed as the new Ronaldo in his homeland. was on loan at Monaco last season. I just love gem signings like this, looks a really good prospect to me! :)

Believable6 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - great for the future zacki...but we need someone for now as a matter of urgency..

He played for Monaco B last year

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jul 2014 13:01:43
This is the everton show by bill ed. nothing us ever done with a sense of urgency & never will be until we get some serious investment/new owner!

Agree1 Disagree0

I thought del boy was the next ronaldo?! It would be nice to get the next James Rodriguez! But agree with ed, we need some signings as at the moment the clubs time and money seems to be all about trying to secure the same squad that we had last season. We need to be looking at improving the squad so I hope we have some quality loans in the pipe line on top of replacements for Rom and del boy, not forgetting our current squad will all be another year older which is a concern when you think of distin, baines, jags, kone, barry, osman, hibbo, pienar, alcaraz especially with the extra games on a thursday!

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jul 2014 09:37:38
David Henen, from Anderlect to Blues, the 18 year old versatile forward was a target for Utd and Arsenal .value around two million. Spent last season on loan at Monaco 4 goals for their reserves .

Believable6 Unbelievable1

22 Jul 2014 10:41:54
Everton are also set to sign Lukaku's fellow countryman David Henen.

The 18-year-old Anderlecht striker - who spent last season on loan at Monaco - is understood to have had a medical on Merseyside on Monday ahead of completing a £800,000 move.
Will take around 48 hrs to complete the deal tho

Agree1 Disagree1

48 hours to do the deal. that's us not signing him then lol
