After watching him at the euros, I wouldn't bother. He looked mediocre in a very poor team. We could spend our money much better.

I don't want him , he was awful in the euros and if we were to buy him he would cost around £10m-£15m that we don't have and I would much rather spend the money on pienaar , Naismith and maybe cardozo

Yobo to Fenerbahce for £1.5m would take that. {Ed025's Note - and me..
Believable29
Unbelievable7
I'd take half a packet of hobnobs and a curly wurly for him. And i'd drive him to the airport myself. Can't get much fairer than that?
MikeyBlueNose. {Ed025's Note - very fair mate..
Agree1

Problem is though the bank will demand the hobnobs. That said it would leave enough to sign Michael Owen I suppose.
WtG.
Agree1
Disagree0
I want him out too..but what will £1.5m get us? what is it with us selling our players on the cheap all the time while spurs always hold clubs to ransom for their players..we should at least get £3m for yobo or let him rot
Agree0
Disagree0
The problem is we dont have the money to let him rot. BSM

Surprised no premiership club came in for him, he's still a good defender, loads of experience better than most of the rubbish getting paid a fortune in the premier league {Ed025's Note - hmmm..

It's only when people get names completely wrong that it bothers me even slightly, like when someone puts like Manvicic when it's Mandzukic but if someone puts Jelevic instead of Jelavic I'm not bothered at all {Ed025's Note - so long as you know who they mean..its not a problem..
Agree0

Sorry guys, it pisses me off no end.. I'm like a self confessed anally retentive English teacher!!
Learn to bloody spell people... OR GET PREDICTIVE TEXT!!!
Glad I got that off my chest :-D {Ed025's Note - you need to be a bit more forgiving mate..
Agree0

Dont mean to be rude haz as I have no problem with spelling mistakes apart from the fact that every time I see a post from you,you spell MOYES wrong its moyes not moyse.Nuff said. {Ed025's Note - i hate to think what would happen if someone pissed on the seat in your house..
Agree1
Disagree1
Don't really see what the problem is. As long as people know what you're talking about and genuinely get the gist of it all there should be no arguments? I've seen people on this site throw a right wobbler when someones put "we're signing A.Johnson" and other dingbats have a right go steaming on about how they don't want a knackered Everton reject even though previous posts stated that they were indeed linked with Adam Johnson (which to be honest, which team isn't?). Long and short of it all, if you see a spelling mistake; major or minor, don't go all grammar nazi. Just let it slide. There's too many worries in the world to have a barney over a misplaced letter. Got all MLK there methinks Ed. Need me horlicks.

Personnaly I think it's a lack of respect for people who read your posts, and for players when you can't write their names correctly. Especially Everton players. I mean, when you are a supporter, you are supposed to know who plays in your team. And it's not hard to check on Google if you don't know how to spell a name, it takes less than 5 seconds. Have respect for others and players, guys ;)

I'm an ex-pat living Portugal. Talk in the papers over here is that Everton have enquired about Oscar Cardozo. The player wants out and Benfica want in the region of £4mil. Would be a decent partner for Jelavic if we can stump up the cash
Believable37
Unbelievable7
Liverpool are more likely to make a profit on selling Andy Carroll than Benfica are selling Cardozo for £4m !
Agree1
Disagree0
I am not sure how he is going at Benfica, but surely he would cost more than 4mil?? Wasn't he worth double figures not so long ago?
Besides, I really don't think him and Jelavic would necessarily be good partners, would rather see a small, fast striker partnered with Jelavic if we were to go 4-4-2 (something I doubt would happen with moyes in charge)

Everton manager David Moyes is backing the prospect of sharing a "money-spinning" new stadium with Liverpool. (Has Blue)
Believable32
Unbelievable12
No thanks. Let's redevelop the spiritual home, Goodison.
Agree1
Disagree1
We all know the re development of goodison is not possible. personaly I believe a ground share would be the best option for both clubs. NSNO!
Agree0
Disagree0
Errr, a staged redevelopment is possible. It was claimed by the board it wasn't back in the Kirkby days. But they were lying.
Agree0
Disagree0
NO NO NO NO.....I WOULD RETURN MY SEASON TICKET IF WE SHARE WITH THAT LOT.......NEVER
Agree0
Disagree0
The rs would complain that they would fill this stadium and we wouldnt
Agree1
Disagree0
Does it matter if they fill the stadium and we don't, when they are at home the takings are theirs when we are at home it's ours. Surely paying half the cost for a stadium would benefit both clubs giving them extra money ( from not paying for a stadium solely) for top quality players to challenge for top 4 places. Even better Liverpool County Council should have a stadium built for the two clubs and having other events organised to use it ( Wembley of the north) and lease/rent to both teams. In my eyes its the way forward. People will always say if a stadium share happens then they will never go again well thats b****cks if they love the club they will go. BluenoseB karl

It works well in Milan and Rome, and unless some billionaire is about to walk into Goodison we will never be able to afford our own. Why not?
Agree1
Disagree0
Why would we want to do that that would be a nightmare no no no no no
Agree0
Disagree0
Of course a Goodison re-development is possible, not to the board of course, it would mean Tesco doesn't fund it and they would have to put their hand in their pockets! But just think about the extra mysterious operating costs they could claim.
WtG
Agree1
Disagree1
Simple fact , forget the politics, financially we need this and then if we never get the change of board we crave we will at least halve some operating costs allowing us to spend more. Its just logical to do. The issue here is the RS arent logical, they could gain as much as us but due to lower IQ they are unable to see past this

As far as I know we're linked with 1 player and that's how it will be if we sign manzukic then we will only focus on another and so on my guess is peinaar and then a 2nd gk the manzukic deal is looking good we are favourites and are lining up a 8 million bid when the euros have finished even though Croatia are out

Theodor Gebre Selassie has signed for werder bremen for £1.6million,wow to me that is a real bargain am sure everton could of at least stumped up 600k and the 1 million in installments.top clubs bigger then bremen have missed out on a quality player {Ed025's Note - i think so aswell..

On me jollies in the algarve standing at the bus stop to go the aqua park and saw the word Everton on the back of one of the local rags in the little shop. Believable8
Unbelievable28
[AO] Thos rumour could actually be true apart from the Moutinho part. He plays for a club regularly in Europe - why come to us? I also don't think he is that good compared to his price. But we could use him if we could have him for 7m and if we had the money from a sale (Fellaini?)...

I dont know where the moneys come from but according to a croatian football writer for 4 4 2 and the guardian and anothe top european football journo everton had a 7mill deal for mandzukic agreed in principal before the euro but now wolfsburg want between 10 and 15, IMO theres younger cheaper options out there
Believable9
Unbelievable15
Still don't believe it. David Moyes has had 10 years in charge and how many times has he played 4-4-2? Maybe now that Cahill is starting to show his age, he might change to a 4-4-2, but I cannot believe that personally, this is a man, who at 0-0 against the bottom side in the league, swapped our attacking mid for a right back/defensive mid.
All he would really be is a back up to Jelavic, and 7mil for a back up in our financial situation is ridiculous considering we have massive holes on both wings currently (aside from Gueye, we have no natural wingers in the squad).
I don't know, that is my thought, would like to think we have 7mil to spend, but just cannot see it happening, we don't have to owe ridiculous amounts of money to the bank this summer, but the net worth of our owner is something like 10mil I read somewhere, add to the fact we are losing 5mil a season and not to mention attendances have been down this season (means even less money), just cant see where the money is coming from
Agree0
Disagree0
Maybe the deal would be instalments
Agree1
Disagree0
Of course they would - but no one will pay it on the basis of 3 goodish games - so he'll stay there and they'll have an unhappy player on their hands - they obviously valued him at 6-7 mil on the basis of what they'd seen week in week out with their own eyes - but he has 3 good games in the spotlight and they want to double his value thinking they'll make a killing - it won't happen
Agree1
Disagree0
[AO] No chance! It's only to mark the minimum price. We will never use 7M on a striker who had a good Euro 2012. Players attending are overprized! And we don't have 7M to spend. We will be looking at a loan - Lukaku or similar... {Ed025's Note - lukaku would do me mate..
