If only. That's definitely one or the wish list.

That definitely is on the 'can't afford' list

Unless they're relegated, I imagine he'll retire at Southampton. Really, really good player, but he has huge amounts of loyalty, and I respect that.

You can't say he is loyal cause no club has told him they will give him one hundred thousand pound a week yet so let's wait an see a

He is a good young player, but I think he is slightly overrated.

Hi Eds
Can you fill me in on the latest regarding Ryan Gauld from Dundee Utd? I keep hearing that we are one of a number of clubs chasing this youngster. Are we any closer?
If not why not?

{Ed007's Note - He has signed a new deal keeping him at DU until 2017. I would be surprised to see him move before summer 2015. He has only just turned 18 and would be best served staying where he is for now, he isn't going to walk into an EPL team and no offence but I can't see him signing for Everton when he does move. Clubs will throw money at the lad when he is ready to move and I think Everton will be priced out of it.
Everton are one of the teams linked with Joe Ledley from Celtic who is out of contract in the summer and is expected to move in January, Celtic don't want to lose him for nothing in the summer.}

{Ed007's Note - Yes I am a Celtic fan Mike. Personally I like Ledley and would like him to stay up here, he has a great engine and will run for 90 mins, although he isn't the quickest. He can play as a CM or on the left and likes to get forward, arriving late in the box or shooting from distance, he will also put in a shift doing the defensive part of his job as well. Ledley is the type of player doesn't waste many passes and isn't easily knocked off the ball. A lot of Celtic fans say he is our cheap version of Lampard. If you do sign him you are getting a very consistent and intelligent player.}
Seen him at Cardiff for years. Championship player at best I'm afraid.

Seen him best resita in Championship while he played for Cardift.

Are you having a laugh Toffee Ace? Ledley has loads of champions league experience and is a cracking player. I'd be delighted if we signed him especially as a free transfer, he's only 26 as well. I've seen him playing for Wales a lot.

FFS, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. From Fernando and M'Vila to Joe feckin' Ledley. Not nearly good enough for EFC, the poor man's Joe 'Xavi' Allen. Horrific player.

Cardiff Toffee Blue, I'm not having a laugh. You can't just say he's got loads of CL experience or else everyone from Celtic would be good enough. I've seen him play for Cardiff, Wales quite a bit too and he's just not good enough. I don't care if he's free.
He was good in Cardiff side that bottled it everytime they got close to the premier league. So that's enough for me to tell me that he's not what is needed to get us where we are going

There are rumours going round online that we are interested in Hull's Curtis Davies. Not exactly an exciting signing if it's true but I trust Martinez after the start we've had this season

I said earlier in the season that we should go for him. He was incredible against us, as he has been against most other teams. I imagine it'll be reminiscent of the Lescott/ Distin signing; hardly glamourous, and no one will be too excited, but he could establish himself as a solid fan favourite.

Very true, I'd snap him up tomorrow, Sylvan can't go on forever and he would be an ideal replacement.

He has improved no end and is currently one of the top in form defenders. I would say a good signing if we can get him
