Go the game and you'll see his productiveness is nigh on nil. Ipwanted him to come good but give me an explosive winger with good output ala Drenthe (7 assists 2 goals in 6 starts) or the flying Alessio Cerci anyday. The richest club n the world, City were in for him in the summer. Don't mind if we do thank you
Agree1
Disagree0
But Bily is not an "explosive winger" he is an attacking mid who plays his best football behind the striker, and he has only ever played there once for us, his first game in Europe when he set up 2 and scored 1. I will be sorry to see him go coz Moyes has not played him in the correct way, I agree with you that Drenthe is better on the wing!

And against Tamworth where he was outplayed, outpassed, outthought and outclassed by a joiner, a painter & decorator and an assistant manager in McDonalds

Eder is a good striker? The lad has less than 1 in 4 in the Portuguese league, you might as well get Cerci who is a winger who has a 1 in 3 scoring record for fiorentina in the serie A for that kind of money

was watching soccer saturday the other week, paul merson said he couldn't understand how nobody had come in to buy everton? and that if he had the cash he would buy ,"they are a great club, with great fans".i like merson.so why hasn't somebody bought this club,is it asking price?, is it the stadium? is it debt?why didint moysey spend wisley when we were bouncing pienaar, bainsey combo, arteta and cahill firing.10 million on billy would have been much better spen on a striker,i know its easy for me to say in hindsight.damm

My God is this a site for Everton fans or people who really hate everythin about Everton.... the chairman, the owners, the manager, the tactics, the transfer dealings(and supposed lying about fees received), half the team, obsession with apparent redsh@te infiltration into the site..... Just listen to urselves!!
I am surprised ur not all having a go at the groundsmen and saying that the grass isn't green enough!!
Frankly it's embarrassing!!!

I have watched everton for about 35 years and remember the good couple of years but a lot more bad years than i would have liked, we have had some poor managers over the years but though i dont agree always with moyes team selections or the way we play but he is the best we will get, everyone blames bill for all our problems but if you remember who we had before bill is that what we want to go back to, most of our club depts came from our previous chairman, ok bill has got the debt increased over the years. but this is to try and get into the top 4, it hasnt worked for us and now the debt has come back to byte us, now because we now have to clear part of the debt to survive bill is a bad man, do you all remember leeds and portsmouth is this what we realy want
Agree1

Think its time the editor did his job and stopped the abusive posts! {Ed025's Note - which posts are abusive?.....i dont post abuse...

Sound familiar?
So we have one step to go then don't we.....wake up and smell the coffee.

When people support a club all of their lives and pay a large chunk of their wages following their team, they have a right to express an opinion, and just because they are pissed off with the s**t they have to deal with season after season, doesn't mean they are turning on their club. We live in a democracy... (Wavertree Blue)
Agree1
Disagree0
Get a life? Why coz I have criticised some of the fans instead of everything else at the club? Okay mate!
Agree3
Disagree1
Players who can't be arsed running or close Down opposition when I'm paying the to do so are going to know I'm not happy - same as if I paid a plumber 700 quid and he looked like he couldn't be arsed fixing my tap
Kenwright has paid nothing into the club in his whole time here - there have been initial loans but they are being paid back - at 8 per cent interest as well - so it's costing big bill sweet f all to be top dog here for 10 years - n now he's sitting on a potential profit on sale of 100 million!
He's paid less for his effing seat than I have!!
Agree8
Disagree1
The chap who posted his opening gambit as supporting Everton for 35 years. You make some interesting points, all of which bar one I disagree with!
When Kenwright took over this club, our debt was at £15m. He promised to run the club in accordance with his self imposed financial restrictions! He promised never to allow the debt to become unmanageable. Since the appointment of MoyesKenwright and his board have sanctioned 107.01m in purchases, recouping 104.44m in sales all in all the equates to 2.43m gross! This figure does not include wages mind.
I know Johnson was an unpopular choice amongst blues, however, he did rebuild the Park End and left us in debt to the tune of £15m
If we are to believe rumours and conjecture Kenwright and his board have at thus current time have accrued a unserviceable debt of between £46m and £67m. So Ridsdale (Leeds) gambled with the future of his club and sanctioned the purchase of over £100m ( David O'Leary )of players to keep his team challenging for CHAMPIONS LEAGUE without recouping on sales! Mandaric (Portsmouth) sanctioned the purchase of £97m (Harry Redknapp) without recouping in sales!
So that leaves us with the good old figure of 2.43m I mentioned at the start and Blue Bill has allowed our club to reach rock bottom without investing in our squad in 2.5 years! So stick with Blue Bill and stand with me on a cold rainy Wednesday night in Yeovil and I'll tell you I told you so!
Good luck!
Bobby blue!

Agree1

How have we gone down playing wise? Irvine has nothing to do with the first team! If you really followed the blues you would see that our football became more defensive when Irvine left and Round came in!

how much would Junior Hoilett of blackburn cost, 21 years old, reminded me of pienar, but quiker, i know spurs are interested, but could we steel a head start with the cash from a billy sale, seeing as they can not generate funds at the mo....byn {Ed025's Note - he will cost over £10m..so no chance..

Unbelievable2
Hes out of contract soon so wont be 10mill
Agree1
Disagree0
Thats my point thought he was out of contract hence the ask....ed...10 mil seems high if thats the case....byn {Ed001's Note - his contract does expire in the summer, probably more likely to go for 7-8m if he leaves now. More likely to wait until the summer and then assess his options though.}
Agree1
Disagree1
Why? We need a striker!
Agree1
Disagree0
Blackburn will get around 7-8mil for Hoilett via the compensation rule, so it would be realsitically 10mil in January, and anyway there is no way he will go to Everton.
Agree0
Disagree0
Just going to point out now that even if he goes out of contract in summer, he will not leave for free. Because he is under 24 and blackburn did offer him a contract of equal/greater terms, blackburn will be due compensation regardless.

Does anyone know where Moyes or Kenwright live or live near them? If so, go to one or both of their houses and tell Kenwright:
1) Lower his asking price and sell the club
2) Give us some money to spend
Then tell Moyes:
1) Play Barkley
2) Play more attacking football
3) Enquire about Welliton because if he has only 6 months left on his contract he can't be that dear and would be absolutley brilliant for us.

Madejski has just sold 51% of Reading and according to the BBC for around 40million...
This would mean that the club is valued at around 80million or so! 80 million for a club lying in eighth position in the Championship with a stadium that holds less than 25,000 and a squad that would have about half the value of ours!! So is Kenwright really being so greedy....?

And if it were that simple you would be the master and the ruler of everton football club, grow up softlad
Agree1

Barkley needs time, cant just throw him and expect him to perform
Agree2

Moyes did throw Barkley on and he took him off after he made two mistakes at Blackburn.......great way to build the lads confidence...........not
And yes Kenwright is being too greedy. I have no problem with people making a profit but him and his cronies are after too much profit.
Agree6
Disagree1
Barkley has been injured, and the last time he came on against United he was the worst player on the pitch. I think the kid will be a world beater but he needs to look interested and hungry!
Agree1
Disagree0
Barkley has just returned from a knee injury, he played in the U/18's few days ago. I can understand Moyes hesistation over the lad, he suffered a very serrious injury not too long ago, and physically (fitness) isnt quiet ready for 90mins, you saw what happened against Blackburn.
Although 30min cameos from the bench wouldnt do him any harm or us for that matter.
Agree1

Barkley has been injured prior to the Bolton game and as a result has not been available for selection. Played and hour last week and is on the mend.

From the Echo
"DINIYAR BILYALETDINOV'S Goodison Park nightmare looks to be over after Everton FC agreed a deal with Russian side Spartak Moscow for his transfer.
The fee for the 26-year-old is thought to be in the region of £2.5m, meaning the Blues will take a substantial loss on the £9m they paid Lokomotiv Moscow for Bilyaletdinov back in August 2009."
2.5million!!
that looks under valued to me
yes he's not adapted to the premiership - but he will be good in another league
surely another russian team would have stumped up 4mil for a player who was previously a good player in the russian league and is a russian international !
hmm - what shall we spend all that 2.5 million on?
what wages was he on? maybe that's where the benefit comes - if we bought him for for nearly 10 million then he must have been on a decent wage - at least 40k per week ? anyone know?

I do believe that Bily has got real talent tho' our style of play after Arteta and Pienaar left just didnt suit him... He was much better during his first season when we had some ball playing midfielders.. This yr he has not done the business and has looked short on confidence.. I am sure the change will be good for him as he defo has some quality and hopefully we can use the money wisely... Best of Luck Bily!

Fiorentina winger Alessio Cerci is on the brink of a loan move to Everton. The 24-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Serie A club, with a deal reportedly in place to take him to Goodison Park.
According to reports in Italy, Cerci, a former target of high-flying Manchester City, has set his sights on a move to the Barclays Premier League, and Everton boss David Moyes is keen to wrap up a deal during the transfer window. Cerci has started only 11 league games for La Viola this season, with manager Delio Rossi finding it difficult to accommodate him into his preferred 3-5-2 formation.
'Cerci is a wide attacker with certain characteristics, so he has been penalised by our change to a 3-5-2 system,' Rossi said. 'If he gets the chance, it's best he go express himself elsewhere, otherwise he'll have to stay in Florence and try to adapt.'

Do the bank want us to fail?
Given the reported level of debt is it.in the banks interest to allow us to fail? Just thought i'd pose the question.
Believable5
Unbelievable1
Not sure about the banks, but there is a strong suggestion that Earl has a vested interested in keeping us in debt as he is then able to loan us money (via his off shore company/companies) which we then pay back at exorbitant interest rates. This may or may not be true. There may or may not be others that benefit from the practice. The problem (or rather ONE of the problems) is that we are simply not able to find out the reality of the situation.
Agree1
Disagree1
The bank are runiing the club. No progress is being made on the pitch and presumably the financial position is getting worse daily. Even significant investment in the squad does not guarantee a good enough improvement. The gap between EFC and the money boys is so great the bank may see no long term propsecys. I fear that EFC may be in real danger of going into adminstration and all that that entails...
Agree2

I don't think we'll go into administration anytime time soon, we may not have much money, but we're a well run football club.

This is it I’m afraid. 2012 is the year we go down. I hope I’m wrong but I just can’t see us not getting dragged in to the relegation zone. Teams below us are not only winning but there starting to play better while were getting worse. If BK wants to sell then he had better do it soon because the price will drop drastically if we get relegated.
Believable5

Yes things could be alot better but we have got to get behind the team. Theres no need bitching, we just need to be loyal supporters. Crikey with a few good results we could be in 8th spot in no time and with a good run would seriously push. Many years ago an everton side under Howard Kendel looked like they were heading for the drop, but if my memory serves me correctly a Derek Mountfield goal in the F.A. cup turned the season around and we never looked back. Long way to go and as we all know things can change dramatically within a week. Come on. {Ed025's Note - i think you may mean adrian heath...but i agree we need to get behind the team..also come on blues..its a two way street, give us something to cheer about, and im sure we will raise the volume..
