On twitter so might be a load of rubbish but there are claims that Porto are having the 9pm announcement that has been mentioned on here. It is claimed that it is either about the Moutinho/Rodriguez deals or Periera's future. We'll have to wait and see I suppose assuming the announcement is actually happening.
Joe EFC

Believable10 Unbelievable6

It just happened Joe it was about Periera not deciding his future yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

I work with they club doctors john Thomas wife at a hospital in the wirral and they don't know what's going on at the club, they are more concerned as to what will happen to them when the new manager is installed. This is the side is football that no-one sees unfortunately #club

stevie4477

Agree0 Disagree0

Stevie I thought you were pulling the proverbial plonker when you said evertons club doctor was John Thomas. had to google for myself. I am glad I held back my first comment. jlaff

Agree0 Disagree0

It was pretty much a small press conference with portos president, he said moutinho and rodriquez will possibly be leaving and nothing had happened with pereira upto now but the club and pereira were both keeping their options open at the time being

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodriquez and Moutinho have both been sold for a combined £60m

Sorry guys, I did make a mistake in assuming that porto had another game left to go in the league as I was told that by my brother & as I don't follow Portuguese football I wasn't to know, apologies. But I am sticking to my guns from the information I have obtained from ultra reliable sources that vitor periera will be announced as our new manager sometime next week. As I stated earlier, he has been bills preferred choice from day 1 & as there is no compensation involved - this will enable him to have larger amount of money to spend in the transfer market.
I will reveal who I actually am & who it is that I am associated with at the club after the announcement has been made next week, & then you will all understand how I got to know of this information regarding our new manager vitor periera. Thanks & good night from a very excited evertonian.

Believable16 Unbelievable11

They will hunt you down Solo people won't forget mate i'm not saying your rubbishting but you were told wrong about Lennon so if your wrong on this the posters will never believe a word you say again. that is a strong statement you just made there I hope your right.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unbelievable.

Agree0 Disagree0

I put a £200 bet down on this happening 'stef the blue', & believe you me I am tight as a ducks arse with money, that's how convinced I am of this happening.

Agree0 Disagree0

At what odds did you get if you don't mind saying.

Agree0 Disagree0

Solomon. I don't know what I am excited about most, the appointment of our new manager or your coming out party:-) jlaff

Agree0 Disagree0

Solomon you are full of it! You are a nobody and have no connections whatsoever so leave it out will ya. Nobody knows anythin yet and even if vitor is out next manager then the only reason you are right is by blind luck. Grow up and stop thinking your important! Dave

FC Porto's president: "Vtor Pereira's future is yet to be decided. I can't tell if it's going to be with Porto or outside. "

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Do you think that's a hint that were getting him ed {Ed025's Note - i dont read it like that mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been offered a contract if he wanted to stay he would of signed yesterday at meeting with Porto president every player wants to play in prem and every manager wants to manager here

Just seen Alan Stubbs driving through maghull on his way back to formby ( he uses my road as a shortcut) I waved him over and he stopped and chatted for a while. He told me not to tell anyone but he has been told the everton job is his and bill has promised him at least £15m to spend out of the Fellaini and baines transfer money. {Ed025's Note - i wish i owned a lie detector at times like these..

Believable8 Unbelievable33

He drives down the bypass, nice try

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha ha they are getting better crazy people out there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but i'd be amazed if this was legit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I always pull over for complete strangers and tell them everything. This is getting better
Jc

Agree0 Disagree0

You've told us now

Agree0 Disagree0

So stubes told u not to tell anyone and u tell everyone on this site that's the last he stops and tells u anything!

Agree0 Disagree0

He will be the next Everton manager even though the story is complete and utter nonsense.
Ste Roofer.

Agree0 Disagree0

The next time he comes driving along your road, probably best not to wave him over, because he might mount the pavement. I've read some bxllocks on this site this week. but you have by far the biggest pair. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you need a lie detector Ed? I would say the smell of the bovine excrement would be enough to settle any doubt?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he stop and chat to a red nose

Agree0 Disagree0

ED25, u av a lie detector, reds can be detected miles away, there's no hiding that

Agree0 Disagree0

I wave people over all the time. They never fail to stop and chat with me.

Agree0 Disagree0

He does come off the 57 through maghull down Sefton lane an a right past the punchbowl pub on to the bypass as does hibbo an baines but still b*******
STE, lydiate {Ed007's Note - That's actually quite creepy that you all know routes players drive.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely brilliant, the replies to this rubbish have me in laughing in work like a lunatic :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

I am just telling you what happend boys! It's true whether you believe me or not. I am a blue not a red s****. Stevie g laaaaa also uses my road as a short cut to the b5422 (Sefton lane) and then onto the a565 (formby bypass). I tried to wave him down once but he just called me a bell end and told me to ****off. He's a person though. Think I might put some pins in the road so he gets a puncture next time he goes past.

A Portuguese journalist on twitter has stated Porto have offered Pereira a new contract as have Everton, Everton currently in pole position for his signature due to Porto selling two of their main assets in Moutinho and Rodriguez, decision to be made by Monday.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stef - yes, there is something about Monday!

Agree0 Disagree0

What is it about Monday?

Agree0 Disagree0

Tell me why, I don't like Mondays!

Agree0 Disagree0

Monday is a bank holiday and then it will Tuesday. and so on

Believable14 Unbelievable26

I heard the same about a week ago and as a sweetner Manchester United paid everton £10 as part of the moyes deal so they could get laudrup {Ed007's Note - You heard the same because it is you that posted the OP ya dobber! *rolls eyes*}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not an announcement but the Porto chairman will be doing an interview on Portuguese TV, could be about anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is five past nine now mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like an apology off ed. there's been an announcement off porto's president saying he's unsure whether pereira will be there next season {Ed025's Note - i dont apologise to people who dont leave a name, its a courtesy thing..

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2013 16:11:53
Everyone just calm down. Periera will definitely be our next manager. A source close to the deal has revealed that it will be signed, sealed & announced formally sometime next week as Porto still have 1 game of the season left to play this weekend. Bill is well aware of who it is that the fans want. Vitor periera has been on bills radar since the end of last year when new contract talks stalled with moyes. All will be we'll folks, just chill & be patient, it will be we'll worth the wait as perieras appointment will be just the start of news breaking events here at Goodison park this summer!

Believable10 Unbelievable19

You're certainly sticking with your line now Sol

Agree0 Disagree0

Who they playing this weekend because league is over?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2013 17:26:04
If Porto are champions why the wait, Moyes didnt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, I know that this is a rumours site (and a very fine one, might I add) but when people assert things that are just plain wrong can you please screen them out.

PORTO HAVE NO MORE GAMES TO PLAY THIS SEASON. They won the league on the last day of the season (last week) and though there is still the cup final to come on Saturday, this is between Benfica and Vitória de Guimarães.

This whole waiting-for-a-manager process is fraught enough without fellow blues just making stuff up.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Porto's season had finished?

Agree0 Disagree0

Without wishing to sound pedantic or flippant, the season is over in Portugal so the reasoning that it will be announced after the last game doesn't lend your assertion any credibility, and sounds like you've just invented the story.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is ridiculous now who are you bills brother seriously

Agree0 Disagree0

Porto also don't have another game to play, it is the portugese cup final this weekend which they are not in

Agree0 Disagree0

He meant to post it last week lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny you have mentioned two others that are definites now, even if vp signs on the dotted line it won't be because you new its because you have went with the majority as FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

What makes you so sure solomon

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2013 14:38:23
So Martinez has delayed his decision. So i'm guessing that will delay Bills decision too. Bloody hell just sign up Pireira please. It's a no brainer

Andy

Believable18 Unbelievable6

Looks like this will go on for ever.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Bill is true to his word by taking the fans opinion into consideration then Pereira is the man. I would be happy with any of the following three:- Pereira, Laudrup or Stubbs/ Ferguson combination. Please Bill don't go for Martinez.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2013 16:56:06
Moyes could have made a substitution in the time its taken him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would a Stubbs / Ferguson combination work at all? Or any combination? Evans / Houllier anyone? It's driven by a mix of sentiment and parochialism - not what a Premiership club like ours needs.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2013 13:45:23

Believable7 Unbelievable9

Alan Curbishley has been seen having a guided tour of Finch Farm. Rumours are flying that he has ageed to take over the club on a 12 month rolling contract. Looks like BK has taken the cheap option and I fear this could lead us into all sorts of problems.

Everton have been reportedly linked with a season long loan for three players:

Ronaldinho Altletic Mineiro in the Brazilian League

Thaigo Barcelona in the Liga BBVA

Wilfried Zaha Man United in the Barclays Premier League

Believable8 Unbelievable31

Reported by whom?

Sweet Jesus, have people got nothing better to do?

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't talk proper crap. For one we will never get them players. And two. We haven't even got a manager never mind getting payers in

Agree0 Disagree0

Definatley have thaigo! {Ed025's Note - there is a big queue for him mate..

Don't shoot the messenger and as this is a RUMOURS SITE here goes.

Mate of mine with connections to the youth team has told me that Steve McClaren is in the frame for the Everton job. Not saying he will get it mind, but at 250 to 1 I have had a free £10 bet on him.

Believable3 Unbelievable23

Wasting your money there lad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not if it's a free bet he won't!

Agree0 Disagree0

OP:

Try premium bonds next time mate.

It's a much safer investment. ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi all. OP here.

Yeah I am having trouble beliving it myself. But if Sky are daft enough to give me a FREE £10 bet. ;-)

If he does get the job and I didn't have a go at this I would kick myself.

Good luck to all the Evertonians here and I hope you get the right guy for the job (Which isn't McClaren by the way)

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks, just signed up for the £10 free on this one.

We don't get him; fantastic.
We get him; terrible, but we all get £2, 500, which I guess will soothe the pain :')

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok hang on a moment and let's take this in!

Kenwright hires Steve McClaren for us

Odds of 250 to 1 and a free £10 bet!

So, 100,000 supporters get together and place £10 free bet and place £10 themselves so £20 bet at 250 to 1

Income £500 Million

We pay Bill and the board the £125 Million they want for the club

Sack McClaren and hire Pereira and give him a £75 Million war chest to augment the squad.

Bank the other £300 Million and become supporter owned with a healthy bank balance!

Sounds good to me!

Berkshire Blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done mate do you fancy a job in theaccounts dept

Agree0 Disagree0

OP here again.

Erm. you do realise that if 100,000 people put a £20 bet on the odds go down ;-)

I honestly am very unsure about this rumour but as someone said £2500 will sweeten the blow.

Best wishes

Morning lads, you will lambast me for this but i'm probably going to win you a few bob.
I'm a Liverpool fan firstly, no hatred for you lot. I like the banter.
Anyway moving on, I work for Bwin, betting company for anyone not familar, based in Spain. The manager has already been decided and implemented but as in any walk of life the employer has a responsibility to interview all candidates.
The person who has been given the position is currently your reserve team boss who was suggested by David Moyes to the board.
He is 16/1 still with if anybody would like to have a flutter and thank me afterwards?
I'm in now at 6's 7's 8's 10's and now 16's to put my money were my mouth is.
The source is directly from a long serving employee who sorts out the grass stains from battle ;)
Hopefully that information makes you a little richer come month end.
Cheers.

Believable7 Unbelievable23

Going to try and confirm this with my Godmother, she teaches Steves kids at the Grange in Hartford Cheshire. Not that he will let her know, to save risk of a bollocking. But he has dropped little hints. I got him at will hill at 33/1 last week. This could be a goer mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I guarantee it certainly is a goer, as I previously mentioned he will be unveilled shortly once the external applicants have been done with.
Svzenny is well off with his assumptions.
Thank you for listening.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stubbs? Surely not, someone tell me please

Agree0 Disagree0

Realy? Steve? Would we all trust him? Yeh we can all say that about anyone comming in, but Steve? Ok, I will trust the board on this one. Steve?

Rich84

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve is not Everton's kitman as you all will know, he is the sport scientist guy.
I tell you now, Moyes recommended him after his 3 year stint as U21 boss. he know's your club and has the passion and respect of it's piers.
I am giving you a gift horse here lads, the source is correct and should not be shunned.
Now 18's with the clueless if anyone fancies it.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only bet worth putting on this is to 'Lay' him, there is not a chance this rumor is a goer if BK has any sense and ambition or Moyes has any loyalty towards the club. If I am wrong then we are in trouble, were a top 6 club in the EPL, this should not even be an option. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve Round!

He's widely offered at 80-1 and you canm even get 398-1 on Betfair.

If you're gonn have a bet on him, swerve Bwin and go elsewhere!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok no worries lads, Stubbs has got the job and it will be made public in the short term.
Bwin went short off the back of this information but like any bookie will gladly cut and push to attract more money and get blue book ;)
You will no doubt feel a bit silly not having backed it but I hope your just mouthing off for the sake of it and using your brain on the sly and taking to pieces.
I for one understand we all crave a big name but seriously Stubbs is young and hungry! his record is decent with the young lads and he knows what it takes and understands the fans etc etc. Kenwright also buys into this and as you know he ain't exactly loose with his purse strings.
Stubbs is your man whether you like it or not.
Good day.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this round or Stubbs?

as the OP said reserve team coach i. e u21's

or did he mean ass. manager?

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a red and got told this yesterday a lot of my family got it at 12/1 in betfred has now gone to 16s I may have another flutter on it

Agree0 Disagree0

Alan Stubbs mate is your new boss. sorry for any confusion.
Many lads here won't have it but I tell you now he will be announced. Ignore the price guide on the net.
I won't post again until he is announced just to remind those who had a mini pop, I do hope they backed it too.
Cheers
N

Agree0 Disagree0

If you work for Bwin, aren't you putting your job in jeopardy by giving us insider information? After all, Bwin could lose a lot of money with your information being leaked. I personally wouldn't mind Stubbs being given the job with the right deputy but I don't think your story is very plausible.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct it is insider trading but if you work in the industry then you'll understand that you get privilegded information on a daily basis. It's often shared amongst other bookies in order to be on the ball when it comes to market suspensions or offering you lot shorter prices. as long as the indivivual (s) don't get caught betting within there "own" company or others then it passed as word of mouth.
Now for the last time, I will give you the information, think of it as a thank you for your support during Hillsborough. Mr Stubbs will be unveiled soon.
Forget Svzenny forget any posts about the Portugese fella. Your boss is Stubbs.
Cheers,

Agree0 Disagree0

Your deal should be announced on Monday lads.
Enjoy - Paddypower still 16/1
Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

Talking rubbish, it's not been decided yet. Your bets are worthless and the arrogance, quite frankly, is annoying.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think so? You are going to look really silly come Monday kiddo. I'm not arrogant at all but only trying to give you an insight and win you a bit of money whilst I'm at it, it is you that is displaying arrogance and refusing to listen to me.
The information is correct and hopefully come Monday you'll say I should of followed because I only have embarassment to gain from being wrong were as you have free money to gain.
Anyway do what you wish.
Cheers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Credability shortfall: BWIN is based in Gibraltar and not Spain.
Licensed by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner. Remote Gaming Licence No. 50; Remote Sportsbook Licence No. 51. BBC Gossip column and on News Now are suggesting we are in for Wakaso Mubarak! Never heard of this player, Do u know of him Ed? And anyone else :/

Rich84 {Ed025's Note - i dont rich, only that hes a left sided midfielder for espanyol..

Believable2 Unbelievable5

How can we be in for any player in fairness when we haven't even got our new manager. does bil decide on who we but now

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not just the manager who has a say its the board too, so we may have been keeping tabs on him and even know Moyes is gone our board may feel he fits the bill, but maybe i'm wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2013 10:54:19
Martinez is now big favrouite?

Believable8 Unbelievable12

He is with the bookies, as short as 4/7 in some places

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2013 09:47:10
Anyone reckon we should go in for vermaelen? He is available for 5m and we are looking for a proven centre back, still only 27

Believable13 Unbelievable13

Definitely he is a classy center back
Lewblue

Agree0 Disagree0

He's available for free. Should definitely go for him can play left side central defence and left back

Agree0 Disagree0

He wouldn't sign for everton stop being delusional

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to get him though, our defence wouldn't need touching then. A new upcoming keeper like oblak from benfica
Midfielders like defour, atsu, honda
Then a class striker like jackson martinez or someone that type of player, then any extras would be for the future

Agree0 Disagree0

Not going to happen in my life time

Agree0 Disagree0

Leave him for Liverpool. He makes far too many mistakes for a centre half. The only reason that a number of people have rated him in the past is that he scored a few goals two seasons back. His primary duty is to defend and I'm afraid he's sadly lacking in that department. Under the watchfully eye of Brenda, he should become even more careless with his defending.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not free, nor is he going for £5m

Agree0 Disagree0

Reps from Norway, Booked into Hilton yesterday, and booked chauffeur to finch farm.
They are rep Ole Gunner and Molde, expect permission from them to talk to Efc with regards to Ole.
Makes sense Manchester United connection, he has just won league, and has property within 20 miles of finch farm.

Believable9 Unbelievable14

I too have property 20 miles from finch farm
so have most of the people on here.
Man u connection so what.
Not having a pop at you just expressing my feelings towards ole gunner being a contender for the biggest job on the planet

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would they be rep for ole and molde, they don't have same reps, and they don't need to travel all the way to liverpool to give permission for him to talk to us, phones have been around for a long time now!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah makes perfect sense with his club lying currently bottom of the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

I guess if we had a Norwegian manager, a load of their LFC and MUFC "fans" might switch allegiance to us ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

On that note, think of all the Celtic fans you will have next week

Agree0 Disagree0

Also he's not mentioned in the 8 man shortlist for the job!

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't need to book chauffer. The F11 from the gyratory drops you a stone's throw from Finch Farm.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only way this could be good or make any sense would be if the represented Forren. Why would we hire a man who has just finished bottom of the table in Ole G S!

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2013 08:15:58
SVENNY! Hi svenny I read that you posted about new stadium talks! Do you think that is a possibility for us without any major investment? Thankyou for all your info!

Believable1 Unbelievable12

A new stadium is always something the board are trying to achieve. It would involved outside investment but not that it would be investment directly in to the club, more of investment in to the property of the stadium, for example what Tescos were looking at doing in Kirkby.

Svenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Talk is cheap - unlike new stadiums. A little less conversation, a little more action, is what we need from the club's board.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do u still think we will get pereira sevenny. Don't think it's as done a deal as we thought yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have not been told of any other contender so yes I still think its VP

Svenny

Agree0 Disagree0

There is another 8 contenders if u believe the papers and sky svenny

according to the daily post there is no pre contract agreement in place with pereira according to everton. and it will be next month before an appointment is made. seems a lot of people jumped the gun yesterday.

Believable6 Unbelievable7

There's a surprise - posters on this site jumping the gun!

On my mobile here lads so can't scroll very far back to posts. Anychance someone could summarise what this svenny bloke has been suggesting? Cheers!

- I caught a post suggesting VP is bringing two players with him? Extremely premature chat considering nobody of any significance has even indicated he is going to be the new boss yet.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Basically, he has crystal balls and can see what's coming.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 May 2013 23:02:56
everton have been heavily linked with 20-year-old rayo vallecano striker leo baptistao who is availiable for around £4 million

Believable5 Unbelievable6

We've been linked - heavily or otherwise - with loads of players. Our scouting system must evaluate hundreds of players - some briefly and some intensively - so there's always a grain of "truth" in these stories. Besides, the interested parties - espeially agents - will always want to get these players' names into the media.
Oh for the good old days when the story appeared in the media only after our manager had swooped and the deal was done. With agents putting their snouts in the trough of Premier League riches and the fans' insatiable appetite for gossip being fed by the media, those days are long, long gone.
