lets hope Moyes doesn't get spoken to, Kenwright would have him back in a flash, we need Moshiri to show us his ambition and get a bigger name.

. various press outlets tonight reporting that are about to put in a shock £40 million pound bid in for England goalkeeper Joe Hart this summer. I actually said this would happen a couple of months ago on this very site as I have a good mate who knows Joes father and he told him that Everton were interested in signing him up this summer - I think this could be a goer as my mate is not the sort to make this type of info up.

40mil plus bumper wages. No thanks. there's much better keepers out there for much less money.

Tbh I'd sign him in a hartbeat. Why do some fans care about transfer fees? For me if the player in question is quality and we can afford what we offer I couldn't care less what he costs.

The only problem here would be his wages which would require a big squad wage overhaul as most of are players are on below average wages ( for a footballer haha) .

The latter is probably required regardless so if he's interested we should go for it.

The GK is probably the most important position in the team and having England's number 1 would certainly set the team sheet off to a flyer.

To say we'll break our transfer record on a goalkeeper if nothing else is a statement of intent. To pluck England's no 1 if nothing else is a statement of intent. If we're going to break our transfer record on a goalkeeper, then it won't be the first time we break it this summer.

Fans wanting to make an 'intent' signing we get linked with one and its panned. He's English so helps with the quoter required by the league he's a very good keeper better then we've had since Tim a few years ago he's had a shocking defence in front of him all season and still done well, we're all assuming we have £100 mill to spend none of actually know if it's more or if it's less, rubbish journalism or not we are being linked with a 'big' singing an there is still moaning I don't get it.

I'd be very surprised if Emery is interested in joining us. He has a good set up in Sevilla and Champions league football to boot and I would expect he would want to get a season under his belt in the competition.

I think we would have a better chance of Koeman but again can't see him leaving.

That starts to narrow it down a bit and we may end up either looking at a young de boar or the elder Pelligrini.

There is always a curve ball thrown in and I think we might still have a surprise or two before this is decided.

Mourinho has spoken to his transfer targets, lukaku knows where he' his going?

Probably right, and the way he's been conducting himself recently, good riddance! I've always considered myself a huge Rom fan, even though he can be bloody frustrating. But the way he's constantly angling for a move now I feel he can just do one now. I know we'll miss his goals but I would like to see us take a punt on Janssen from Holland. He's got 32 goals this season and though that doesn't always mean a lot in the PL (Kezman etc) there's also been the likes of van Nistlehorse. If we get the 60m that's being talked about for Rom, I feel we could afford to take a chance on Janssen and still buy another top striker.

{Ed025's Note - i like the look of janssen myself lee..

need manager first but bambuku from villareal aswell looks decent.

23 May 2016 22:19:24
Totally agree with Lee, Rom has no qualities as a person whatsoever. There are ways to act and he has been an absolute disgrace. We don't ask for loyalty as we know them days are gone but we ask for respect and other senior players should have had the bottle to put him in the picture.

Would take an almost 40 mil profit on Lukaku everyday of the week. That much for a player that can barely receive a pass with his back to the goal, and seems to turn the ball over more than he doesn't, is a steal.

Of course he has his moments, Chelsea goal wow, but he is too reliant on other players to set him up and not able to create for himself often enough to be considered a top tier striker.

Aguero (35mil albeit in 2011) , Suarez (80mil) , Neymar (71mil) , De Bruyne (69mil) , Rodriguez (71mil) , Bale (80mil) and you get my point.

Players we could get two of if we sell Lukaku for 65mil. Sanchez (35mil) , Diego Costa (32mil) , Vidal (30mil) , Douglas Costa (30mil) , Martial (36mil) , Dybala (26mil).

I know he scores goals, and his shooting accuracy in among the best in the world inside the box with his left foot, but my point is that he is VERY replaceable. Especially at 65 million.

And bye bye to Stonsey too at 45-50 mil. They could have 200mil to spend this summer. Fun times.

He's only replaceable with two such players for that money if (a) they're willing to sign for Everton, (b) you ignore all the massive costs involved in transfers - agents fees, signing on fees, tax, etc, and (c) you ignore the £15m or so (over 3 years) for the extra set of wages. Still, hard as it would be to replace him, bite their hand off for £65 million. Arrogant tit.

Ed's do you recon we will have a new manager before Euro's? I would like to think we would.

{Ed025's Note - i think there is a very good chance lanny, but you have to remember this is everton mate.. :)

Ed

If I'm honest with myself then I have to say I'm gagging for a decision etc.

Thing is, for once I don't feel any 'here we go again' anxiety it's like we have some real hope for the future mate. :)

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think we all are 247, its a bit like the build up to christmas, you see the presents under the tree and cant wait to open one to see what you got.. :)

23 May 2016 15:00:06
Personally I hope it is FDB as he has good pedigree with Ajax and Barcelona and won't change our style too much, just add solidity and pace to our game. Emery on the other hand is also very good but he is very strict and training is apparently very hard so some players won't be too keen.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2016 14:52:30
Good analogy Ed, let's just hope that the big box we think has the huge train set in doesn't contain one of granny's 1970's home knitted jumpers that is three sizes too small!

{Ed025's Note - love it wedge..

23 May 2016 17:23:37
Training is very hard steviegee? I think looking at the team in the last 20 mins of games last season they always looked like they were blowing out there arses to some players even looking way overweight. So a bit of hard training is exactly what they need imo.

Agree6 Disagree0

23 May 2016 20:18:54
I think the training needs to be stepped up, Deulofeu can't last a game currently which means you know you are going to have to replace him after 60-70 mins.
Harder training and better preparation is what is needed!
Nice to see we are taking our time in my opinion get the right man and onwards and upwards! COYB!

Looking at his stats 5th, 5th and 7th (this season) looks on a par with Moyes. Think I would rather Pellegrini to be honest.

Agree3 Disagree10

23 May 2016 12:36:08
dont forget Bill he has had 2 huge cup runs mate where he won the Europa for a 3rd consecutive time and got beat in CDR by Barcelona, these 3 years of great cup runs/ wins would damage league positions with a club like Sevilla as hardly as if they have a huge squad, if you look at it that way then no brainer for me mate, oh yeh he battered the Koppites too which is a bonus but even without that he looks a great prospect, if it happens I hope he ravages that Sevilla side as some cracking players there.

23 May 2016 14:17:13
Bill, why on earth do you want Pellegrini?

Emery didn't just batter the Koppites, he made them cry!
That'll do for me!

No-one made the kopites cry more than pardew but we wouldn't want him.

On the proposed docklands site for the new stadium, I seem to remember that Sir Philip Carter had a role within Peel Holdings. Just wondering whether it is part of a legacy, as rumours seem to be building in that direction very rapidly and from nowhere. Any opinions Ed's? Thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it would be nice to think so brace, but i feel if it was then it would have come to light before now, but it would certainly do no harm mate..

The daily star are reporting we have already spoke to pelligrini.
