. Liverpool's announcement of their stadium plans has meant more scousers can attend the game. However the good news was quickly quashed when they realised it only applies to their derby games.

Spanish newspaper AS reports that Deulofeu has a strong relationship with Martinez and is keen to extend his stay with Everton. They claim that a deal has been agreed in principle to see him remain on Merseyside.

I'm not the biggest fan of 'stepovers'as someone on here called him, but will be good to see him develop a bit more next season.

Believable19 Unbelievable4

I would love him to stay we will need big squad next season great to have him in it think he still has a lot to learn about the prem with mirallas out now we should c more of him next few games

keeo him aslong as possible!

Agree1 Disagree1

This kid is the new messi in my opinion and I would love us to get him permanently. He is the type of new talent we should be signing. He's only had one season here and he's still a kid but I have never seen a foreign player come here at his age and play like that. Believe me blues we should break the bank for him because he is destined for the very top.

Agree0 Disagree2

It's not just step overs with him he can rip defences apart when he runs at them his final ball can be put into question at times but this kid is talent. Barca would not call him the next messi for nowt and in a couple of years I see him taking football by storm, let's enjoy while he is here! I have nothing but praise for the kid, as most of the Everton fans would agree.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would not worry about the step overs remember when Ronaldo first came to utd did them all the time but as he got more experienced he knew when and when not to do them, Del Boy is still young remember and it's his first real season of playing top flight football if we keep him for a second season that's a bonus as I thought he may go back the boy is going to become a big player but I don't see him getting much first team action at Barcelona for few years players in his positions are messi and neymar.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was me that called him stepovers.
I like the lad and think he has a great future, it just irritates me sometimes, when he uses his pace down the wing, gets one on one with the full back, then decides to do 12 stepovers, doesn't get past the man and ends up passing backwards.
I wish he would cross the ball first time, before the opposition defenders get chance to get back into position.

I know he doesn't do it everytime, but when he does I wanna scream

Due to the fact that Barca have had their transfer ban removed, they are trying to get in as many players in as they need. Thus it seems more viable that Deulofeu will be making a return to us. On top of this, I've just seen on twitter that he will most likely be back with us next season, as it says he has agreed in principle to return. Just to let you all know.

Believable14 Unbelievable3

When did he say on Twitter that he has agreed that?

I'm sure I told everyone this last week.

He hasn't Gaz, but he's told another person, and it has found its way to social media.

I usually take what's in the media with a large dose of salt, so make of this what you will.
'Roberto Martinez says rumours linking Everton with summer bids for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck and midfielder Tom Cleverley are "crazy".
The Toffees are among the sides linked with the England internationals after reports that Welbeck wants to quit Old Trafford this summer and Cleverley came under pressure from United fans.
But that's not the case, according to Martinez.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's trip to Southampton, he said: 'Normally the crazy rumours start in the window. We've got three games to go for probably the most exciting ending of our season and we're talking about possible targets. There's nothing to mention. We'll use the window to try to be stronger in terms of the squad and we'll look at all the players available and the possibilities that we need."'

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Clevs is coming, don't you worry about that. Martinez is just trying to stop the fans from getting over excited at the prospect of this monumental signing.

Don't let me down Roberto lad.

Have you started working on your Cleverly songs for the Gwladys street end yet Mike

Well then, looks like Everton Al was telling the truth. It's in the Echo today: "The whole scheme is not just about the redevelopment of LFC’s ground, which I think is going to be spectacular and as good as any ground in the country when it’s completed, as there will also be a hotel offering training in hospitality and refurbished shops and new units built." - (Mayor Joe Anderson)

Cheers Bitter. I thought my source seemed to know what he was on about. Hopefully he's right about the mighty blues too! It would be great to redevelop Goodison but a new stadium on Walton Hall would be class too so fingers crossed. Unfortunately, I won't be seeing or speaking to my source for a long while so I won't have anymore information for you guys. Sorry all.

Everton Al.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - good stuff AL..

Anyway I don't think he's got the bottle.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - good stuff mate..

Cmon boys / ed, keep up.
All the hotel and shops stuff is in the Anfield Spatial Regeneration Plan.
It's been doing the rounds for months.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - keep up juicer..thats what we have been saying mate, its the new stadium at walton hall that we are concerned about mate..

Haha, why mention it then?
Or was it a bit of fact to gloss the story?
You know yourself how lengthy and detailed is the need for public consultation before anything is even up and running. Ask the residents around the park how they feel about losing their green space and plonking a new football ground there?
No chance.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - lets hope your wrong mate, surely you cant be that selfish that you want liverpool to progress and everton stand still?...oh wait.. :)

Weren't we talking about Walton Park as a possible site years ago, before Kirkby even came up? Would love this to be true, but then I don't live near Walton Park - residents would go ballistic if it means paving over the whole park. God knows how the RS got permission on Stanley Park, and maybe that could have some weight in it ie They can't be seen to favour them over us

A newspaper are linking us with a move for Danny Welbeck, wouldn't want him as a main striker but could definitely do a job. thoughts?

Believable11 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - I definitely think it is someone that Everton (or anyone) should be looking to sign.}

I would definitely take him and possibly build round him

hes tosh

Agree1 Disagree0

He got pace & skill. I think he can score goals 15++. a la sturridge.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - he would not be the worst signing pgee, but give me bony any day mate..

Ed 025 I think if Danny can string together a full season of starting games he can be a better player than bonny an I would be really excited to see him come

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - i think we may have to agree to disagree on this one shakey mate..

24 Apr 2014 09:42:59
I agree Ed we need a lukaku type primary striker, but a seccond striker like welbeck could prove useful as sturridge did for liverpool this season

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im all for that craig..

Comparing Daniel Sturridge to Danny Welbeck is a huge disrespect to Sturridge. Sturridge always showed good finishing and a football brain to supplement his natural attributes. Further, he can actually dribble (quite well). If anything, Sturridge should be compared to Lewandowski albeit he hasn't done it over the same period. Nevertheless, their skill sets and levels are quite similar bar heading which Lewandowski far exceeds Dani on. Don't compare Buicks to Ferraris.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sturridge, like lewandowski fitz?...hmmm, you will be comparing ronaldo with carlton palmer next mate.. :)

Or even worse, Welbeck to Sturridowski Ed. Carlton Palmer and Danny Welbeck - now there's an appropriate comparison.

Agree0 Disagree0

Welbeck is shocking, all he has is that silly flick, awful

Not for me, reminds me of a young Heskey

Agree0 Disagree0

Rather sign Carlton Palmer and play him up top than sign Welbeck. got to be better available at much lower prices.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but no. He's not good enough. Nor is Cleverley. We shouldn't be even considering any more dealings with Utd. Cut contacts and keep our best players.
