baffled how you got a thumbs down that fraud must be the worst appointment the club have ever made in 14 games 11 teams have had more shots against us when we lose its the players fault when we win it's all down to him he complained on Sat that the difference was they had a goalscorer no the difference was they went for the win whereas all we wanted was a draw the and if he is banking on home form to get us over the line well we still have Liverpoo city Southampton Newcastle and Brighton non of those games will be easy as Liverpoo and City will destroy us and the others at least try to win games it's going to be squeaky bum time and if we stay up he should be sacked straight after the last game.

I was taught that a manager (in any industry) should praise in public, but criticise in private AND that (as far as your subordintes' performances go) the buck stops with the manager. It seems that Allardyce doesn't believe in that approach to man-management.

As an ex manager for many years I totally agree Bobby, but then Allardyce is not a manager. he is just a bully with no real vision of how to play attacking football. Maybe I am a bad loser but this season has been really hard to stomach.

NickB57: Sadly, it seems that he is rigorously following the club’s stated philosophy of “expected” and “unexpected” losses, but he seems to be applying negative expectations to every away fixture and also to many home fixtures.
I appreciate that we need to be safe from relegation, but why not risk having a go if it’s an “expected loss” anyway AND, if it’s an “unexpected loss” type of fixture (i. e. an “expected win”) , then why not play with the confidence that our likely win should merit? Other sides - even lower-tier - have shown that it can be done against the big-six.
Trying to hold out for a draw - or hoping to snatch a 1-0 victory - might be pragmatic this season, but too often we’ve failed miserably even at that.
He may do a good job in getting the points to avoid relegation, but I see no signs that he can take us any further than that.

Agree 34 points 10 games to go and the so-called senior pro's (majority of them) through loss of form and confidence unable to lead, it is about time the Academy/ U23's were let loose and/ or give players like Klaasen, Tosun full games. We seem to attract/ hire coaches/ Managers that are so stubborn in their ways they refuse to believe there are other options. The Klopps and Contes of this World look at a loss and take it as a personal affront, they do not lay the blame on others, they take it on the chin, change things around and make darned sure they win the next one.

Probably just wishful thinking with who we have in charge but I'd love for us to take the game to Watford tomorrow. Play a high press and get on the front foot. For too long under Allardyce and Koeman, negativity and a lack of ambition has cost us away and the cautious set up obviously hasn't worked. Watford aren't anything special and I hope we go there and get the 3 points tomorrow as well as giving Tosun and Klaassern time. Again wishful thinking with Davy but backing us for a 3-1 tomorrow. Up the toffees.

I believe that Sam has said that he wants a more settled team and the only changes should be for injury and suspensions. So we should see the same team that beat CP.

I just don't think he will go for an away win mate? (hope wrong) I wonder did he look at the team training, or did he just stay at the bar? (Dubai)

Only reporting what I read so don't see why I would get two thumbs down? I don't really believe it either but hope is what keeps you going.

The report was in the Liverpool Echo. "Sam Allardyce has hinted he will start picking a more consistent line-up between now and the end of the season". We will know soon.

The fact Watford beat Chelsea 4-1 in their last home game will give Oxo the perfect excuse to play defensive. Chelsea had 10 men but he will still play 2 holding midfielders.
I reckon Kenny will come in for Seamus, who is still struggling with a thigh problem apparently, Davies will be dropped for Morgan and won't even feature on the bench probably!
Williams will come in for Mangala.
I just don't expect anything other than setting up for a point as that will be seen as progress in Oxo's eyes.

Yes and that is the team he has picked the one that finished against CP. That is what he said he would do and he has done it. So much for the thumbs down to my post above. Not sure what sort of supporters these people are!
