There's a lot of speculation about Bill Kenwright and Dave Whelan being old friends and that the two are in/have held talks regarding N'Zogbia {Ed025's Note - i would not trust the pair of them....as far as i could throw them..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

No doubt Whelan is stalling on the N'Zogbia deal waiting for Everton to do something, but fact of the matter is, we are going to do nothing unless we sell Jags or someone else quick, and well, Everton transfer process is anything but quick {Ed025's Note - its not mate...but we must keep jags..

Newcastle's board makes our board look amazing haha, the only positive about Kenwrong is he doesn't try and sell all our best players etc, still he can get to f*** haha

Believable3 Unbelievable1

For how long though? We sold Pienaar and received none of that money, wouldnt surprise me if we didnt see the Vaughan money again. He has to service our debts and if he cant afford it he is going to have to sell assets, and right now, the only assets we have are the players since he already sold everything else. {Ed025's Note - your right mate..if he starts selling off the family silver..we are in trouble!..

***PSG Panther***

Latest news has it that Everton FC are now front runners to sign Shane Long.

As everyone will know that we do have to sell to buy, but i have it from a very reliable source that Rodwell will leave and this will free up 15mil which will be available to DM on which we will purchase Long (5m) and Nzogbia (10m). He is confident enough to bed Barkley right into the first team in this coming to season to take Rodwells place.

Also on another Very bright note, i will please all you blues that Felli will sign a new deal within the next 10 days. The reason that i can confirm this good news is that my PA was chatting to Felli's agent (his dad) whilst on a business trip to Bruges over the weekend. {Ed025's Note - i would love to believe this...but im not holding my breath..

Believable6 Unbelievable10

Witnessing just how good Barkley was against DC United (albeit a preseason game) it really doesnt bother me if we sacrificed Rodwell for the betterment (is that even a word?) of the team. Barkley is impressive and have confidence that he could do Rodwell's job, if not better. It would be sad to see him leave as he is a true professional but the club comes first sadly, and we are in desperate need of a striker and winger. Personally, if we sold Rodwell for 15mil (would hold out for 20mil) would look at Holtby for 6-7mil and Defoe for 8-9mil. And it is imperative we get Fellaini on a long term deal, not only so he can have a long term future with us, but his sale price doesnt drop (which in full value would expect around 30mil) {Ed025's Note - this is a great post...it reinforces everything i believe in..well done..

Agree0 Disagree0

That's great news about fellis new deal Can you confirm the full conversion your pa had with fellis agent please?

Arsenal set to bid £15m for Jagielka within the next few days, Moyes accepting is another story.

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Make it 18mil and I would be tempted. really see Rodwell's future as a CB, has every attribute needed to be a world class CB. Jags has been a brilliant servant, but we need to start to making money and getting full values on players and 18mil for a soon to be 29yr old is a good value and continue to invest in younger players (in the range of 21-24) that can contribute to the first team. And anyway think heitinga is more than a good enough replacement, and the Jags/Distin partnership is deplorable, both vulnerable to silly mistakes leading to conceding cheap goals {Ed025's Note - dont agree mate..jags is in his prime at 28..him and distin works great..heitinga is an average squad player, and its alright planning for the future, but unless we do something now!..we may not have a future..

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt accept unless it was more than 25 million cos jags is better than lescott {Ed025's Note - i agree..

Its been confirmed on news that everton are the club "mad, mad keen" on n'zogbia but sources on say everton would have to sell one of there stars, jags or rodwell, i'd rather rodwell personally, i know he's local but he is just potential and we can afford to let him go with the likes of gueye, coleman, vellios and barkley looking impressive and still young and people still forget that felliani is still only 22 so we still have a good core of young lads.
I know moyes is stubborn and wants to keep his key players, but for me sacrificing rodwell for maybe 20 million and bringing in n'zogbia and a striker makes sense. What u rekon ed ?

Believable18 Unbelievable2

We cannot afford to lose Rodwell. I know he had a stop start season but he is an unbelievable talent who could potentially go for double the the price that is being talked about now. If we can sell anyone it would be Bily, he has had long enough now to settle in and I dont see him gettitng better. He is just not premier league quality. {Ed025's Note - not billy,s biggest fan...but if we could get good money for rodders i would sell..but only if 100% of it, wnt on new signings..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it would be ideal also because I think Rodwell will leave us for a bigger club eventually anyway whether it takes a few years or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see what your saying fella, but bilyaletdinov would only get us 7-8 million, rodwell would go for 20 million and that would get us 2 maybe 3 players giving what moyes is capable of in the market, makes sense to me. {Ed025's Note - and me..

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy (8mil) + Yak (3mil) + Yobo (4mil) = 15mil

Rodwell = 15mil

Rather lose those 3 and keep Rodwell as those 3 are bit part players. {Ed025's Note - no argument from me there mate..

Remember vellous boys he might come handy in the future, Vaughan was great until injuries would of been another wonder, wheres lescott money was that for jonny or jags?

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Lescott money went towards, Distin, Bily and Heitinga(all better than Lescott)

Agree0 Disagree0

You're not a great Evertonian are ya there pal, remember Moyes telling everyone that Lescott wasn't even the best centre back at Everton? The one he was referring to happens to be Jags.

Lescott money went on Distin, Jonny and Billy. Reward yet to be seen...but it could come. Billy's still young enough, he's just never going to be a winger.

Agree0 Disagree0

I never said lescott was the best...

Agree0 Disagree0

I know we harbour anger towards Lescott, but seriously, would rather him back than have those 3 you mentioned. Jags hasnt been the same since Lescott was here. Those 2 were a perfect combination and we used to be such a good defensive unit with those 2 at CB, last season, defending at times was utterly atrocius and conceded poor goals time and time again. Not to mention Lescott gave us a threat from set pieces (didnt he score like 10 goals in a season). {Ed025's Note - i must admit..i liked lescott..but jags was the key to the success of the partnership. but i am happy with our defence..

I am in hong kong if I see n'zogbia I'll give him a cheeky slap villa have no ambition downing young gone there hoping on Clarke alvrighton and walker to succeed we have Coleman Baxter barkley rodwell

read in the newspaper that n'zogbia has signed for aston villa for £10 million and arsenal will win the race to sign phil jagielka for £17 million {Ed025's Note - was that in the NOTW?...my advice to you is..change newspapers.,

Believable6 Unbelievable7

That's crap He wants to come to everton and moyes will get back to Liverpool tomorrow. He can then make an offer or whatever, n'zogbia won't go to villa until he is positive we can't get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

N'Zogbia has NOT signed for Villa, the situation has not changed as Wigan and Villa cannot agree on the fee. Although I do have a feeling that Le Arse will up put in another bid for Jags, but it wont be 17mil straight away, Wenger does not do business like that, would expect some pathetic bid like 12mil next.

Agree0 Disagree0

I read those rumours in 2 seperate newspapers
N'Zogbia rumour=The Sun i think
Jagielka rumour=Daily Star
they are both irish newspapers as far as i know

Agree0 Disagree0

There's more chance of this appearing in the NOTW than actually happening as they no longer print it

Man city already looking at Barkley expect £15 mil bid {Ed025's Note - they think they can just buy anyone...id tell them to..p*ss off!!

Believable5 Unbelievable10

15m is nowhere near what barkely is worth tbh, if he is playing like this now, then expect a gem on our hands, #rejectallbidsunderfourty {Ed025's Note - i dont want us to become anyone,s feeder club...just hang the phone up!,,

Agree0 Disagree0

This is utter garbage, I am pretty sure we would sacrifice Rodwell before we sacrifice Barkley, even if true we would tell them to f*** off. Looking forward to watching this kid play in an Everton shirt, although it was a preseason, he looked absolute class in the middle of the park, come the start of next season wouldnt surprise me if he is pushing for a starting berth if he continues like he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Considering Barkley is playing almost at the level of Rodwell and is 3 years younger, we shouldn't even think about accepting an offer for him

Everton are in for Amr Zaki, a player once linked with Real Madrid and also Steve Zakuani from Seattle Sounders {Ed025's Note - more people on the rumour mill...wonder who,s next?

Believable0 Unbelievable11

Amr zaki used to play for wigan, good player too, adapted to the prem well.... but can he still do it? {Ed025's Note - fox,s strike rate..aint that good...take it with a pinch of salt..for the time being..

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL, he was at loan at Hull last season, did you forget to mention that? He is crap

Agree0 Disagree0

Amir zaki a player once linked with real madrid....and a player who had a good half season with wigan and then achieved nothing else scoring zero goals and getting himself put in the reserves for going AWOL you kind of failed to mention that but didnt you
3 {Ed025's Note - we are being linked with sorts of dross...take no notice!..

I went to a bar in manchester and overheard the end of someones conversation. All i caught was "....from everton with micah richards part of the deal." does anyone have any idea who this could be about or if micah is even available by man city? Sorry its not giving much to think about but thought id share it anyway. {Ed025's Note - probably just tittle tattle..

Believable1 Unbelievable10

Never gunna happen, and besides, did you see coleman last night?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I went to a bar in the middle east, and I overheard two guys talking, they were saying "It si official, we have purchased Everton football club, and we have signed Messi and Ronaldo already". I swear, I would not lie.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we shouldve took him in the lescott deal when he wasnt in the team, now its too late though he is top player and would do us sound

Agree0 Disagree0

For the c*ck with the second reply, why put up a narky comment like that? I like reading peoples rumours and comments but occaisionally you get a jackass that writes something like this guy and u just think how much ud love to slap him about a bit.

loads of changes to the team for next year, loads of new faces coming into it, pity its only from the youth and reserves like but still i think if we could get someone like defoe or bendtner on loan we would be sorted, if not stick to 4-5-1 and go with rodwell and barkley in the middle with fellaini holding mikky and osman/bily either side with beckford upfront, gueye looks good against american teams but so would most people who write on this site too haha any news on ins n outs ed?? {Ed025's Note - nothing new mate...i would like defoe though...but dont fancy bendtner..hes a white yak...

Believable2 Unbelievable3

I've got no worries over our strongest 11 but I worry about the squad when the traditional injury crisis comes around. I don't think we need to spend big, maybe just 2-3 loans or free agents. Defoe would be a dream come true but from what I've heard, that is way beyond our budget of £0 {Ed025's Note - i think tou are over-estimating our budget!

Agree0 Disagree0

Gueye has showed promise against all form of opponents. {Ed025's Note - lets hope he can step up this season...ew may just need him!..

If anybody watched the DC United game can anybody agree with me to say they were really impressed with striker Chris Pontius. He was all over the pitch causing our defense ALOT of problems.
I know it's only a friendly and it could just be a one off game but the commentators spoke very highly of him and I think he fits the kind of forward role Everton need, a poacher who will not leave the defense to rest.
Being unknown with unrecognised talents to the rest of the world he would be a player who would come at a very cheap price.
I forgot to mention he was DC'S goalscorer. {Ed025's Note - the thing is..it was only a friendly, the premiership is the hardest league in the world, im sure DM has got players in mind...i trust him implicitly ...

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Thought Gueye and Barkley looked well and Beckford looked confident when he came on.....got a feeling he's gonna have a good season but he needs to be playing regular for 90 min's in order to build his confidence in front of goal. Victor took his goal well but I think we should enjoy the moment cos we won't see many more when season starts. {Ed025's Note - its hard to tell with pre-season friendlies, because we are trying different combinations,..

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh that is one game that we have watched, anichebe looked good in that game, even with his finishing, but never scored all season. {Ed025's Note - take no notice of these pre-season games..they are no reflection of the side we will field on the opening day..

Agree0 Disagree0

I know ed, but I was saying: anichebe looked good, but it dont mean nothing {Ed025's Note - he did look ok....but i would be very surprised if he figured much this season..

Agree0 Disagree0

Good thinking batman, i shall leave the intelligent thinking firmly within your grasp Ed.

I have found the game on myp2p, loads of feeds

Graz

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Err, I'm watching it on tv

Agree0 Disagree0

In case you don't have espn

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do the club out of money? Why not pay the £3 or whatever it was to watch it on EvertonTV?
Everyone moans we go no money, but quite happily buy merchandise from non Everton sources (thus the club loses out again) {Ed025's Note - its typical of the way the club is being run..
